A reliable post office in a hardworking community. Good service, not any attitudes and very low frustration for a post office. The passport service was good however they do not do passport photos, so one star demoted for the false web advertisement. They also do well answering the phones. Worst experience anyone could ever have with a Post Office! They mark your package as delivered when in fact it was not delivered. The Supervisor is very rude and tells you to ask your credit card company for a refund. They hang up the telephone on you when you try to explain that your item was not delivered. They suggest that your package was stolen after they delivered it, which is all lies. They cover up for their carriers. Management is even worse than the carriers themselves! I normally would not use this post office, but I was pressed for time. When I arrived, there were three people ahead of me. The clerk was very rude. She told the customer before me to wait so he could be next for continued service as they had to verify something. NO PROBLEM! The problem that I have is that I am at the window now tending to my business because it is my turn. She abruptly discontinued the service and explanation with me to talk and tend to the prior customer. She should have finished the explanation with me and take the guy waiting. I was sending a letter overnight. The clerk has an extremely difficult time trying to explain the difference of overnight and express overnight. Monday guaranteed or 4 day no guarantee. I chose Monday. I Stepped off of the line to fill out the form. I get back on the line for her to tell me that the Monday guaranteed won't get there by Monday maybe Tuesday. For $31 plus dollars, I'll go the cheaper route. So that meant I had to get off of the line again and fill out the first form that I had. She was not very knowledgeable. So, the original form was now guaranteed for Monday delivery. She was unintelligible and did not know what she was talking about, trying to give more information than what is needed by starting off with, there is no overnight deliver after 4 o'clock. It's important to support the services in your community,but when packages are constantly being losses, there's a problem. I don't know how packages shipped to me have not been delivered even though tracking says delivered. Their services are not free. Try calling its a ghost station no one picks up. Disappointing, lack of communication, and incompetence! Made an appointment for passport for 3:45 pm. Arrived 15 min early. The clerk told me they canceled all passport appointments for the day. I never received any notice. Spoke with a supervisor and he told me they don't schedule appointments after 2 pm. He couldn't explain why the scheduling system online allows appointment times after 2 pm. It's disappointing to know that the USPS doesn't work in correlation with its local facilities. Absolutely floored by how incompetant this place is. I package was sent to a buyer, scanned AT the address, buyer reported it missing, Post office told both of us it was lost and closed the case. A few days later the package arrives back to me as "return to sender, UNCLAIMED." UNCLAIMED?! The buyer reported it missing. How can it be unclaimed?! Just redeliver it! You guys just wasted resrouces sending it back to me! And now my bank account will be in the red, because I already spent the money I was paid. It may as well have stayed lost! I live in Georgia and sent express package to my Sister who lives in St Albans, 11412 zip code. No package delivery on Saturday. Today, I see on USPS website a delivery was attempted Sunday. My sister says she was home and no notice. I am hoping they do not steal my Nephew Christmas presents. He has autism and he knows I sent him his Christmas presents. I am very upset and worried after reading these comments. I thought the USPS could be trusted. I will use Fed Ex or UPS next time. This post office is the WORSE one around my neighborhood. There are EXCESSIVE long lines every time I come here as they do not have proper staffing. I am not exaggerating one bit. There is normally only ONE booth open with at least 20+ customers on the line. I am not satisfied with the customer service here as well... the employee seems to dislike their job. Just when I thought that they couldn't top themselves they do. Consistently any package that looks like it has a credit card, or is small enough to pop in your pocket comes up missing. I have cameras around my house and even when I am home they state attempted delivery and left notice, however camera playback shows that they never even attempted delivery. And don't depend on management even trying to resolve the situation because even when the workers are blatantly wrong they defend them with some legitimate excuse covered by some postal jargon that covers their wrong deeds. So I come in here this morning. The first lady that helps me, really nice. I follow her instructions and the stand back in line. I then encounter an orientatial(i could say, Chinese, korean, Japanese but since i dont know her nationality) clerk. I tell her I forgot to put tape on the envelope. The tape is sitting right there she hands it to me and calls then calls the next person. What !!!! It takes 2 seconds to put tape on something so now I have to wait on the back of the line because you have no patience with customers at 9 something in the morning?. If I could give it a zero I would. The staff here is the most rude and non caring. Not to mention the carriers are extremely incompetent. Leaving imaginary notices because they're too bothered to knock or ring a doorbell even though there are multiple people at home. Then when you go directly to the post office to get your package that SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN DELIVERED the staff just dismissively says "I don't know. Come back tomorrow". This post office is horrible. No one answers the phone. Mail gets delivered whenever it gets delivered. Scheduled pick-ups don't happen. Sometimes, this location isn't even open when it's supposed to be. When it is open, there's a line, with one or two people behind bullet proof glass, and the customer service agents usually have miserable attitudes. I must say this is the most despicable, Dirty, Impolite, Unprofessional post office representatives I have ever met. There is a Chinese Asian lady who is most helpful. However there is a young African-American representative who is seems to say Think that she cannot be replaced because she works for a government agency. She was very rude and disrespectful to a family in front of me in the line. Also, the lady waited for over 30 minutes to speak with the supervisor on duty however she was told that the supervisor was busy to leave a message. The lady begged and pleaded that she will wait but was told no can do. I don't understand why they feel the need to treat our people and our community the way they do.
