The people here are usually really nice. Sometimes when I come in there's no one in the booths I guess this place doesn't get much traffic. It's conveniently located near the airport. The manager however pretends like he knows things like the weight of an envelope without even checking it. He told me my envelope needed a second stamp "I know, I've been doing this for years". When the girl weighed the envelope, it in fact did NOT need a second stamp. The price of stamps has gone up tremendously.. no need to waste stamps.. just weigh the envelopes. read more

This is actually my go-to Post Office from when I used to live in Queens! Thankfully, I have had the opposite experience of majority of the reviewers. Morning or afternoon, there is often no line. I may also have to count myself lucky given that I have never encountered any of those lazy or not helpful workers that other speak of in their reviews. I haven't been greeted with a wide smile but that's absolutely not necessary in this situation nor encouraged by management. They get the job done! Other perks of utilizing this location: - Since it's in the airport, mail shipped from here will arrive to its destination faster than most USPS locations; usually 1-2 business days for regular and Priority mail within the US. - They often have passport appointments available for within a week or so. - There is a parking lot; just follow the signs. - Fair prices especially when compared to FEDEX. Consider this USPS location for your mailing needs! I highly recommend it! read more

I sent a piece of Registered mail from Hackensack NJ to Orlando FL. This accountable piece of mail has been stuck at this post office since March 12, 2025 and not one person is able to give me an answer and explain where my mail is. Postal Service is proving to be unreliable at every aspect. I want to know where my mail is. Either return to me or move the mail so it can be delivered to the address. To my fellow door dash, GrubHub and Uber eats. Do not deliver to this establishment (Susan) She every rude and disrespectful! And doesn't tip. She will say she in the post office but she is actually on the side of the building. She works in a building and can't give proper directions. The door clearly say CBP ON IT and she couldn't confirm it. I spent 10 to 15 minutes trying to deliver food all because she doesn't know where she work. I asked 5 times , does the door say CBP. Worst post office in nyc,workers chatting while customers on line ,then after me waiting 1 hr on line cuz I was too early for my appointment with No one ahead of me or behind ,then without saying anything closes the window grab her key and head to her car and leave ,I ask to speak to the manager who never came, mean while the security sleeping behind the left counter......apparently if you come too early with you being the only one on line they cannot attend to you but if someone comes late even tho the sign say you have to reschedule they'll take the person ahead of you..... read more

Further to my review.... My wife and I returned the following morning to process our passport papers once again. The "Passport Nazi" picked apart my and wife's application so it was denied processing. We brought the same applications to the Brooklyn Public Library and the application went threw. Among the more experienced of passport acceptance centers, I came to their passport acceptance fair (means open hours beyond normal business hours-only) this past Saturday. Their hosting one speaks well of their customer service and ability to support the USPS and Dept of State's operations. The location is very remote due to JFK's stark industrial feel, low flat tarmac-like feeling, intimidatingly large and abandoned-like quiet warehouses, but is serviced by Q6 stop nearby. Note that when driving by car, the sign that says "customer entrance 2nd entrance" means to use the same major entrance for the USPS under the big "EXPRESS MAIL" signage, but use the driveway the left of the security booth as the 1 to the right of it is for the incessant flow of USPS trucks. read more

There were 2 packages ( according to tracking) to be delivered the same day from Ukraine, both with my correct address (pictures of labels emailed to me from Ukraine)...one I got the other started with ....insufficient addresss, sending back to Ukraine....next was ...person moved, no forwarding address..... for 5 days it says ( all at exactly 12:00 noon ) sent to next facility ( what ever that means?) .....I have called twice to USPS and explained the situation.....call waiting time for that 23 min- 1 you ....told they would be investigating) ......have gotten NOTHING back...no call ...no email.........have no idea where package is.....wish I could give NO STARS!!!!! read more

I had to renew my Passport for an upcoming trip nothing urgent and this place was great. There's a walk in service so you don't have to make an appointment. As long as you have all of your documents with you, you'll be in and out quick. I was done within 5 min. I actually had an old passport form and they gave me a new one and let me fill it out on the side and bring it back to them. There's also a parking lot! Overall experience for passport is A+. Tip: if you come in early 9-10am it is empty so if you have to refill out paper work or go home and bring back anything you won't have to worry about a line. read more

This post is very convenient but the there are two old timers that work there that are so miserable and lack customer service skills. If the post office finally goes out of business it has to be because of them. It's always the Hispanic and a black looking ladies. They act as if they are doing you a favor and talk down to you. They need to hurry up and retire or go back to training. If they aren't happy with the choices they made in life they should reconsider their line of work. I'm normally a pleasant person and personable. But I dread going to this place because they suck that right out of you. There is one Asian looking lady that works there and she is my favorite to deal with. If it wasn't for convenience of being close to work and the later hours I would definitely go to another post office. read more

From reading other reviews, I learned that this place has a reputation of losing packages. I am in a same situation. I did some detective work myself in order to find my package, and I found out that has been lost and never delivered to its destination. Its been two months now since I shipped this package. I can never get a straight answer from any one there when I get someone on the phone after 10 hours. One star is too much to rate the effectiveness of this postal office. read more

Been waiting over 20 days for a package that has tracking AND is insured as it was posted through diplomatic mail. Come to find out there has been some sort of "SCANDAL" in which 100 CRATES OF MAIL have been held unnecessarily at JFK Airport Post Office. Apparently mail has been accounted through January 23, 2015 but who knows about the rest. WOW, just WOW, not sure if it will ever be sorted out at this point. HORRIBLE...I can't imagine all the people waiting on important packages...come to think of it, I never received a package that was sent out to me from abroad in June 2014, wonder if this was where it "disappeared" to also. read more

Jamaica USPS: Mail forwarding from the JFK Post Office in New York is pathetically the WORSE I have had in over 30 years of moving more than 20 times. My post office box mail gets BATCHED and then forwarded. I received forwarded mail that was post marked the end of July, August today with the forwarding yellow sticker dated 10-17-2015 (today is 10-23-2015). The first time this occurred I blew it off as a transition, but now having mail forward almost 90 days after it was post marked is horrible. The Post Master needs to fix this, but is either sleeping at the wheel or condones this type of behavior at that facility. Government Tax Dollars being wasted - Sincerely Terry Inglis. read more

I like that this location is not as crowded as the other ones by me. It's located by the jfk airport. I never knew that there was one here. Had to get my daughters passport renewal. This one does the walk ins ! I didn't have to make an appointment BUT Be advised that you should come early ...AT LEAST AN HOUR BEFORE closing because if there's too many on line Than they will stop about 30 minutes before closing . The passport service hours are until 4pm workdays . I got there with my daughter at 3:30pm and just made it! The worker at the window was helpful. read more

If there were a negative amount of stars I'd select it! We pay for a P.O. Box and have not received mail forever. We are paying but not receiving service. Isn't that illegal? We are paying for the post office to be disrespectful and interfere with our business. They keep telling our associates the box is closed. They are rude and lazy. What they are doing, tampering with our mail, is federal crime. We recently read of a possible scandal where crates of mail were held unnecessarily. We are victims of this, They once told us that all our mail was sent back to sender. After complaining to consumer affairs, the bulk of mail mysteriously appeared. We have not received any mail for almost two months and are fighting with them to get answers. May the Lord God deal with them for interfering with people's lives, businesses and livelihoods. read more

Waited on line for like 30 minutes to ship some stupid company calendars. The service isn't too bad, it's just the airport people who come here have nothing prepared and everybody here chats up a storm at each counter. The benefit of coming to this Post Office in JFK is that they have a parking lot. The one's that are in Elmhurst or other parts of the city, there's no such thing as parking, and if you wanna risk double parking, it'll just make matters worst. I sent something from the UK on 9/2/15 tracked and signed for. According to the web it's been at Kennedy since 19/02/2015. It's supposed to be heading for Savannah, 9 days it's been sitting there. What the hell are they doing. I tried to call, it wasn't a good line so they hung up on me. I thought the U.S. was a first world country and a forerunner in everything!
