We sent a…read moreChristmas package to our daughter with her home address on the package and they would not put in her PO box because the box number was not on the package(really hard to look up the box holder). They are returning the package to Washington State so that we can put the PO number on the package and re-mail it. We checked with our local postmaster and he informed us that they would have cross-referenced the number and left a message in their box informing them of the package. He also said this was a directive from the Postmaster General. Now if you think our postmaster would have done this just because we live in a small town you are wrong. Dixon and our city are the same size. Thanks for nothing lazy Dixon postal workers

Last week, I took in my ACUs to get cleaned and pressed. This was the 3rd time I have used these…read morecleaners. When I went yesterday to pick up my ACUs, They were not pressed or cleaned. I pointed out that there were other ACUs on the hanger that were pressed. I was told by the "owner", that I had to bring the them in for several months in order to get the "pressed look". I have never heard of such crap in my life. I was told to pay and that I would never get anyone in this area to do my dry-cleaning ever again. I took my ACUs to a dry cleaner in St Robert that evening. I explained what I wanted done, i.e.. cleaned and pressed and the woman agreed. I even prepaid. I received a phone call today from the cleaners in St Robert that I had to come and pick up my ACUs and that I would not receive my money back. Both of these dry cleaners need to be put out of business. They should have NO stars. And as for the price, its high since they did not do the cleaning and pressing.

It's my favorite local thrift store. I seem to always score awesome finds whenever I come. The prices can't be beat! I got a nice St. James Nike basketball hoodie for $3. Hardcover golf books for .50 each! An electric blood pressure monitor for $2! Obviously this is a thrift store so the quality depends on each item. From what I've seen, most of the shoes seem VERY worn and in poor condition but other items are great. Will come back here each time I'm up visiting. I know my sister comes here like 2-3x per week.

It is located practically in the middle of nowhere, over the big Piney River, and offers a great photo opportunity. Heads up: lots of winding, hilly roads to get there so not for those easily car sick. It's a steel truss beside that was built in 1923 and the bluff views surrounding it are one of Missouri's 7 Scenic Wonders.
