We stopped by the USPS and all I can say is I had an amazing service by the staff. Very helpful specially when you are renewing your passport. We stopped by the postal service a few weeks with no appointment and we got help right away and were instructed on what we needed to do. The staff was courteous but also patient and guide us through the process and we got it done efficiently. Great customer service. I'll definitely continue to visit this location. I read an older review about the clerk, Keith, at this branch. Apparently the bad review did zero to improve his mood or manners. He has a Grinch cap at his station for quite obvious reasons you'll learn if you are stuck with him. My son is a postal carrier and delivers to 600 homes/businesses each day. He has a smile and greeting for all his people. Heck, one street threw him a huge block party to thank him for his service. My point being that one can still be courteous even with a huge route through heat, rain & smoke- and a postal clerk doesn't have to work in the elements. read more

THEY DONT RING THE DOORBELL!!! i've been accused of missing my package delivery twice, so now it's going to get sent back all the way to Korea??? wtf.. everytime i've gotten the "we missed you" letter there were multiple people at home who claim that nobody rang the doorbell. i was here today waiting for a ring, and nothing. the delivery people are incredibly impatient and don't even try to see if somebody is home to get the package. i guess i'm supposed to camp out and sit in front of the door waiting for usps to come. i wish my package was delivered through a different service, but i didn't get the option. i can't even call the location to ask if the package is back at my local usps -- i just get sent to some automated call that gives me no helpful information. read more

My eyes almost rolled into the back of my head having overheard some of the questions these imbeciles ask postal workers. We are talking about mind-numbing stupidity here. Please go to the USPS site to get informed before you hold up the entire line or start arguing with the postal workers over policy matters to which they have no control. Gosh, its hard to be objective about government services, or psuedo-government agencies like a U.S. Post Office, because "government" is a different category than normal businesses. I used to absolutely love mail when I was a kid, and all the way into my twenties. Now, I wish I never got any, except hand written ones where someone writes to say they love you. They have all the usual things like commemorative stamps, next-day delivery, a fair amount of P.O. boxes, and is the base for Rohnert Park's home and business mail delivery service. It's stuck in Raley's Towne Centre and has very few parking spaces near its location. It is no longer open on Saturdays like it once was. They regularly used to incorrectly delivered my mail to my neighbor and theirs to me and when I complained they told me I need to put the house number on our mail slot even though it's two feet away from it on the house. LAZY! One mailman was so scared of our slow moving blind deaf senior dog (10lbs) that he almost sprayed him with dog spray even though he was 6'3" 300lbs and the dog was wagging his tail. Same mailman said he could get paid for getting bit by a dog. Sounds shady to me. Haven't seen him in a year, maybe he got bit and retired? If I park to close to garage and they can't cut to the next neighbors house through our grass and driveway and actually have to walk around the cars to the sidewalk I get dirty looks and bad attitude from the mail carrier. My biggest beef with this location has to do with its exterior. First, the panhandlers next to the front door need to go. I'm sorry if I sound callous, but they're often in the way physically. And second, the parking spots in front should be reserved for postal patrons ONLY. I had to give a start to post a review. I truly have no words to quite say how unbelievably rude and non-social the employees of this post office are! Every single tome I go in there no matter how nice how much I smile RUDE! Today I had to mail gloves and mask to my elderly mother and just knowing we are all in the pandemic together I'm seeing everyone being kind and patient with each other, and GIVEN these employees can still be working and getting a paycheck yet still RUDE! WOW! I worked as a firefighter in a very busy city for 20 years. I've been faced with everything you can imagine. I accepted my job and all that came with it! I know working with the public can be challenging. Can't tell you how many times we'd get up at all hours for what I would never consider a emergency and yet I've always treated people with dignity respect. Obviously nobody cares how these employees treat people as I've lived in Rohnert Park over 23 years and it's never changed (same counter rude people) and I won't go so far as to name employees but who was working April 7th at 1:30ish you/He is RUDE! Passport service is awful. I've called 151 times so far from 9 to 9:12. No humans. Have to call the same day. If you don't call by 8:55 (service is supposed to begin at 9) then good luck hearing anything besides a busy tone. Update: it's now 9:17. I've called another 26 times. No humans yet. Update: 9:19. Called 17 more times. Dial tone only. Update: 9:21. Finally got a human after 7 more tries!! Me: "I was hoping to schedule a passport appt." USPS: "I'm not sure if she's fully booked yet." Music for 3 more minutes. USPS: "hello. The only time we have left is 1130." Me: "You have no other appointments?" USPS: "no". Me: "I ask because I've called over 150 times this morning and got nothing but a busy signal. This isn't very convenient." USPS: "it's convenient for 99% of our customers." I hate to leave bad feedback when I know the USPS is in the dumps, but I am just too frustrated not to. I've been living in Rohnert Park since July and every time, without fail, the post office line is at the door. I'm shocked there have not been any reviews about this location since most people in line tend to also complain about the routinely abyssmal wait times. Lastly, just a note: There is a clerk of average height (not the tall man with the beard who is a gem) who seems to hate his job and apparently bails on his duties quite a lot. I've heard his coworkers discuss him as well: "You're alone working out here? Where's XXX?" "Who knows? Walking around..." There is usually just 1-2 clerks working during lunch hour and after 5, when the place is busiest. The clerks don't seem to be bothered by the slow time at all. They chat with customers long after they've rung up their purchases. For those of us who are on a time crunch and do not have all the time in the world, this wait time of upwards of 30min is awful and almost worth the trip to the more expensive UPS. I guess you get what you pay for. On a positive note, the location is ideal in the Raley's Shopping Centre, there IS an automated lobby machine (which I use as often as I am able rather than wait inside) and there is a lot of parking. read more

I'm glad we still have a postal service. It's hard to believe they've cut back so much with budget and all. I absolutely love this Post Office. I am one of those people that suck, that come in at the last minute and have questions and aren't prepared. Every single time I have done this, and it has been multiple, I have always received the best customer service and help. The staff here is so friendly and never shows any frustration towards me even though I usually squeeze in a minute until closing. They are always patient and kind with me, and answer all of my questions without ever making me feel stupid or like I'm annoying them. whoever was working the front desk today, I believe his name was Herman O., he is very very very unprofessional and rude. I got in line, there were about 4 people ahead of me, and grabbed a priority shipping box because I had already paid for a priority shipping label, I just needed a box. He immediately started yelling at me that I can't use that box for flat rate. I repeatedly politely told him I had a priority shipping label and he ignored me. He then said the package needed to be ready to go by the time I got up to the kiosk mind you I'm not even close to there, he is yelling at me while helping other customers. No biggy I can assemble the box. So I get up to the Kiosk and he asks me if I have tape because he won't print a new label that can stick on the box or help me whatsoever with putting the label on the box so he makes me purchase a thing of packing tape then proceeds to tell me I'm too slow at taping the label and he'll do it himself, takes the tape and does it himself. I made it in to the Post Office right before they closing for the day . They were about to close the doors but were very happy to assist me. Beware of Keith- he's a very unhappy and unpleasant postal worker. Avoid him while doing your transactions- he won't help you save on cost and will give you attitude your entire transaction. Out of all the cities I've lived in this has been the best post office experience. I am at the post office almost daily mailing large quantities of packages. If you can get your package ready to go by printing a prepaid label, then you can bypass the line and leave your package on any closed register countertop. If you have something like an etsy business where you may be delivering lots of small packages, they can give you PO tubs to help you carry it all. The office staff have always been friendly and helpful with my questions. Some times of the day are busier than others and you will run into long lines. There are usually 2-3 people on staff and they try to get through the line as quickly as they can. The post office can be an inherently stressful place if you're busy and in a rush. Try to come at odd hours (i.e not at lunch time or after 4pm) and pre-pay if you can. A caution about parking, there are only a few spots just out front. I usually find it's easier to park in the side lot and cross the street. Backing out of the front row spots when you have traffic coming from 4 different directions is... just be cautious. read more

I made an apt day of to get my passport. The lady had me write down my travel dates and assured me expedited would be plenty of time. I paid some extra money. They didn't send my passport to the office to be processed for a week. She was wrong and I found out it could take an additional two to three weeks at least from When she said it would be here. I even asked her about overnighting it. Needless to say we have to cancel our trip, pay for airline changes, and no longer even need the passport. Very disappointed and frustrated that I trusted her time frame and expertise. read more

I send out a package maybe once a year. I have stood at a counter in a post office maybe 5 times in my life. The last trip was bad but this one was worse. The guy behind the counter seemed to hate me from the moment I approached his window. Looked at my package and said "umm you need a label. You can get one over there" he points. I said ok and I apparently grabbed the wrong label. (There are about 15 different paper slips on the counter so I grab 3 of them that seem to apply to my situation fill them all out. Get back through the line, get the same guy who says "NO A L-A-B-E-L like I didnt inderstand the first time. Finally he moves from his cubby and yells for his boss. As it turns out I had to buy the label and it was on the sale rack. It took me 3 trips through the line and a purchased label to send out a simple box. if I see that dude in my work I will make him feel like a dummy. Not everyone works at the post office.
