Whether it is our regular carrier, Dave, or the very kind and considerate Jamie who delivered packages right to our front door, alerting us to their presence on a very rainy afternoon, or to the professional and friendly folks working the counter at the office on Main Street, everybody has been first-rate. When we are considerate of the work done by others, and that includes the frustrations people often experience while doing their jobs while still delivering good service despite the challenges therein, we receive what we give. Be kind. Be patient. Recognize that the postal service is a great resource comprised of very smart, hardworking people who are giving it all they got. The post master let me go into the office and use the office computer to access my online banking there. I was surprised. They also helped me find the correct box I needed to fit my item snuggly and offered free air cushions to make sure item did not slide around in the box. Transaction completed with no issues. I think they could pack eggs and have them show up unbroken 3,000 miles later. They partner with Yellow Freight which brings the cost to half of what other shippers charge (who use various mail services). When Yellow Freight forgot to scan the four handmade box crates in Chicago (apparently quite unusual) and we weren't sure where they were, Scott offered to call Yellow Freight and described the crates so that could be more easily found. Everything arrived in perfect order and the boxes & inserts that Scott made were amazing. This is a family business, run by Scott and his wife, and they care about what they do. It shows.
