What good is informed delivery when some just never shows up for a month or days later or not at all?

The Cromwell Post Office is a great team of dedicated people that has provided us excellent service over many years. Whether it is our regular carrier, Dave, or the very kind and considerate Jamie who delivered packages right to our front door, alerting us to their presence on a very rainy afternoon, or to the professional and friendly folks working the counter at the office on Main Street, everybody has been first-rate. When we are considerate of the work done by others, and that includes the frustrations people often experience while doing their jobs while still delivering good service despite the challenges therein, we receive what we give. Be kind. Be patient. Recognize that the postal service is a great resource comprised of very smart, hardworking people who are giving it all they got. Cromwell Resident I have put my mail on hold several times and they still continue to deliver my mail. I don't understand why, when you fill out the form to hold your mail, that simple job can't be done. read more

I don't know what the problem is with the Cromwell postal pickup in front of the Cromwell Stop and Shop. It is literally a coin toss as to whether your mail is delivered to its destination. I mailed two letters one letter reached it's destination and the other letter was lost. Now I have to suffer the repercussions of a lost letter. Who remembers when you could depend on your mail being delivered? read more

Staff is rude. They rushed me and made me feel a little uncomfortable. Got what I wanted done but definitely not planning on coming back. The 1 star is for them getting my mail delivered but communication was off. read more

The employees here are super nice!! We went in today to apply for a passport for my stepson. There was a bit of a wait but they were so nice about it. While we were waiting I also observed one of the employees really helping out customers by suggesting lower cost alternatives. If you need a passport, this is a great place to go, as they do it all. The woman in front of me forgot to make photocopies of her documents and they did it for her, no charge. They can also take your photos ($15) and will take credit cards or cash for the photo as well as the $25 processing fee. The fee that goes to the Department of State ($110 for passport book, $30 for passport card, or $140 for both) still has to be paid by check. However, if you forget your checkbook, they can sell you a money order. And you can use a debit card to buy that, so you don't have to have the actual cash on you. read more

One can always expect excellent and pleasant service from the employees of the Cromwell Post Office. They are quick to offer suggestions that might save you some money. The post person who delivers the mail on our street always has dog treats on hand and gives a friendly wave as she goes by local walkers. However, some of my observations: 1) the mail truck that usually delivers mail on our street leaks a lot of oil!! The postal system definitely needs more government funding for better equipment!! Let's all support our dedicated postal workers with good pay and equipment!!! And 2) I miss the postal substation that was located in a business on the west side of town off Rt 372. Perhaps a new substation could be opened in the same area such as in Walmart or Shop Rite or Stop N Shop! read more

Worst usps I've ever been too. I just wanted a passport renewal. The guy with glasses at the front was very disrespectful. I asked a simple question and realized I had misheard him. Yet ,proceeded to raise his voice at me and talked to me like I'm stupid, to my surprise the manager went in on me too and was being very sarcastic, though the manager and everyone else had no clue what just had happened. The customer that was there at the same time too warned me that they are assholes to everyone and she would of done the same. I was over it in a heart beat and laughed about it . Didn't realize people were going to be in their feelings, be professional .If you want to be disrespected this is the place . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Keep it pushin. I went to mail my Christmas package and found that the rates had gone up. I was not pleased about this. I used my own box and it was not a flat rate PO box which would have been too small. The clerk told me when the package would arrive and I took the Standard charge which was still costly. I have had to send away for all my Christmas stamps because they don't have them yet a trip for nothing. I found pretty stamps on-line. read more

Staff is always very helpful. Paul guided me through the passport renewal process. Also, helped me find the fastest, most economical way to send a care package to my brother who is at grad school in Scotland. I actually like going to this post office. read more
