Even though they are still highly technical it is stuff that I cannot do by myself since it seems like my world has gone pretty much paperless. So here is what I get done here: Print things - like lots of things. A few hundred copies, some weird coated paper, some odd ball sizes. Basically if I cannot print something on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper I find myself with a jump drive and headed to Fed Ex (pro tip: you can just email it to them to print now.) Cut things - Not your normal arts and craft things, but lets say you have a poster you need to cut down to frame. And lets say the crabby old lady at the store that sells frames just gives you a big 'ol case of the "stink eye" for asking her to cut it down. Well, Fed Ex has the equipment to do it. And they help you do it. And it is free. Ship Things - When it just doesn't fit in my mailbox and i want to pay the postage, etc, I can do it here. Now look, I am sure there is a bunch of other stuff they do here that I am sure gets done as wonderfully as the things I use them for. But for me it is 3 basic things. And they do them well and with a smile on their face.

I'm not a professional copier, though one would assume the person behind the counter would be. He knew how to charge my card. He knew how to close the top on my hard-cover book, which is bad for it. But the few copies made were unusable. Out of the $5.00 charged, $4.57 was used. Still fully charged. No offer to try again to make it right. On a grading scale of A, B, C, D, F... F this Fed-Ex.

Visited Staples recently in Ogden for an Amazon return. I called beforehand for directions (as it…read morehad been a while since I'd been that way on Riverdale Road). The clerk over the phone was very friendly and gave me perfect directions (it's on the same side of the street as the Newgate Mall right next to Ross in the same parking lot). I visited on a Saturday approximately 3 pm. Keep in mind this was not a holiday weekend. The returns are in the front of the store with excellent signage. There were three people in front of me when arriving, and another three newcomers when I left. Only one clerk behind the counter but I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They do not give you receipts here for your returns (anymore as I was told). That said, Amazon received my package and I received my refund so everything went well. No photos included because I don't think it's appropriate to photograph others in a public setting without their knowledge even if their backs are turned.

Clerks are able to give me my shipping options and are good to suggest things like insurance, etc, that I never think of when placing said parcel in the hands of a shipping company. They sell some accessories here as well as printing / copying and I am sure there is a myriad of other services this little store has to offer. For me it is placing small brown boxes in to the Universe to be sent somewhere.
