Black woman working the front is extremely rude. Didn't greet me and completely talked over me while I was trying to explain what I wanted. Could barely hear her cause she was wearing a mask which made her raise her voice and talk to me like I'm 5 when I couldn't hear her. Awful. read more

This post office most my package that was dropped off 10 days ago and it hasn't moved since. Today is the 18th and it was supposed to delivered last week. Used to be very competent. But the past year , it seems s they're hiring people as sorters and carriers from the Braille institute. Nit getting mail or getting mail for obviously wrong addresses .hate to see anyone lose their job. But this is obvious incompetence. Should have strict tests , people seemed to be hired who don't qualify or don't take pride in their work. Often mail carrier is on the phone or listening to music with no regard for accuracy in duties. Embarrassingly bad service . Need qualified people when it comes to people's livelihoods ! People depend on mail but lately don't seem to hire people who are dependable. read more

This WAS our favorite post office to visit. The workers were always friendly & courteous. There is one employee who always gives customers a hard time. Kim is extremely rude & acts like she's doing us a favor. You can tell she doesn't like her job. She really needs to be retrained on customer service & policy & procedure. I always try avoid being taken care of by her. I cringe every time I hear the way she treats customers. We shouldn't have to be taken care of like this. The other employees are great! I used to go to this post office two years ago and last year. Two years ago they had two men that were good workers and another man that still works there in 2020 and he is A so so worker with A so so attitude. The people who worked there two years ago a tall man with a beard a bald headed man were good workers. The manager was great but she retired in 2019 or in at the end of the year in 2018. The other great and nice lady I don't see anymore so I assume she retired. The two woman they have now are not nice at all and are very rude. The one female worker is really rude. I went in on 2/5/2020 and did not bring the item to be weighed or to show the worker what type of box I should use to send the item out. She said if it is not on the scale or right in front of me on the scale she could not tell me. I left and will not go back into this post office again. read more

This review is for the post office in Oak Lawn IL 92nd and Cicero. This post office has a habit of locking the doors early, That's problem number one. I guess so they can leave at the time they are actually supposed to close. I have been there several times on weekdays and Saturday where this has happened, and they will not open the door. It's not just me who expects them to still be open, as every time, there are other customers arriving at the same time as I do (usually running top speed because we know they like to close early. As if this isn't bad enough, I had to go there this past Saturday and because it was close to closing time, I had my husband run in with my 3 packages, all addressed just needed postage. I parked and luckily (so I thought) made it inside to my hubby who was now in line behind a lady being helped at the counter. At the same time an employee was walking to lock the door, and they actually told us that they were closed and couldn't wait on us. WE WERE INSIDE AND IN LINE!!! We said to the lady, how are you not going to take us when we're here in line? She asked if our packages were prepaid where she could just take them and throw them in the bin, and we said, "No they need First Class Postage". She said she can't do it because she's closed and had the nerve to tell us to have a nice day. I have never seen such laziness and unconcern for your job as I did that day. She couldn't have possibly closed her drawer down yet because the other customer wasn't even out the door yet. I won't even get started on my packages getting lost that I sent from there. The postal delivery in Oak Lawn, IL is awful. Our mail gets lost frequently. Our bills get paid late because our mail gets lost going out, even though we take the mail right into to the post office on 92nd and Cicero. Then we get other people's mail all the time, which we usually end up taking it to the house that it belongs. Sometimes we don't get our bills and again end up paying late. Who knows where the mail ends up? Something has to be done about this. Maybe having a training program for the employees. Nobody seems to care. We shouldn't have to be doing the post office job for them, delivering other people's mail or having to call the companies we do business with to ask where is our invoice to pay. We have been in Oak Lawn for over 30 years now. It is a wonderful place to live. We deserve better service from our post office. read more

I stopped in today after visiting two nights ago. The gentleman that helped me two nights ago was knowledgeable and helpful. I had some invitations that I had to send out but wanted to inquire what the process was. I come back in today since the gentleman from two nights ago suggested I come back with all the envelopes I need mailed out. The employee,Zach, was rude and decided he was to lazy to do his job and print out shipping labels so he sells me stamps so that I can figure out the math and put the stamps on myself. That completely defeats the purpose of me stopping in! I could have gone to Walgreens and purchased the stamps there while saving gas. Do NOT go here! Zach was by far one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional employees I've had the pressure of interacting with. read more

5 out the 7 people that work here are friendly and polite. The two younger women are not. They have an attitude literally every time I go there, as if they were kidnapped from their homes as little girls and forced to live the post office life. Girls, we are at 3.7% unemployment. If you don't like your job, get a new one. We are already suffering by having to come there. We shouldn't have to deal with your bad attitudes on top of it. Especially when your co-workers are friendly. This is why I always try to time it in line by letting other people cut it front of me. That way I don't have to deal with it. And stand up and walk the package to the bin please. Stop throwing it. Be better. read more
