The staff works hard to make sure your satisfied before you leave. This location is unique, in that it is located in the heart of the diamond district and is the only authorized high value drop off location. So if you a business that needs to ship a package (insured with FedEx) for more than $1000, it can only be dropped off at this location if not picked up by the courier. He pointed at the paper to have me fill in the dates, When I did, he picked up the piece of paper and asked if I was a notary. When I said, "No", he then said, "Well, then why are you writing in the date of where the notary is supposed to?" He then said we would have to start from scratch after already spending 10 minutes on having the first page notarized. My husband was trying to figure out how to print another set of copies at the UPS store, and the notary was condescending and rude the entire time. Finally, we just left. Unfortunately the price to ship our little bundle of Joy came out to $89 because they offer only two shipping options to Hawaii - next day and 2nd day (the one we chose.) Oh well, we're used to getting screwed for shipping. COMPUTERS & SCANNER: They have 5 computers for use and an empty station for laptops. Only 1 station has a scanner which was occupied, so we waited a short while. Once you stick in your card for payment, a small box appears letting you know of your duration and dollar amount. We needed to scan some documents and email them. The directions that are displayed are totally wrong. Don't follow them like we did and wasted some time & money. Instead, we went straight into the scanner's folder and got it to work from there. Our total came out to just under $6 for around 10 minutes of use. OVERALL: Great service, convenient location to Times Square, and outrageous shipping pricing to Hawaii.

I specifically had several art pieces (a sculpture) and a lot of clothing including several boots. All pretty valuable and sentimental to me. Rebecca was wonderful and friendly answering all my initial questions over the phone. Thamara went above and beyond helping me at the center - packing everything and securing them into a giant box, and shipping it out. She even stuck many "This Side Up/Fragile" stickers on the box to ensure the box was handled with care and I was put at ease. Took a 15" long fragile item in to be packed and shipped. Was helped by Deven. He charged for…read more18x14x12 fragile pack, which by my math does not meet the 2" of required packing material that UPS regulations say should be around all fragile items, but they're the experts so I follow their lead. They then decided to wedge my 15" fragile item into a 14" long box, completely ignoring the 18" box they charged for and the 2" packaging material rule for fragile items that their own company (UPS) enforces. Plus, they charged for dimensional weight of the larger box (19lbs cost instead of the actual weight cost of 8lbs), then used a smaller box so that the store did not get charged for the 19lbs dimensional weight. So to recap - the store paid for 8lbs of freight but charged customer for 19lbs of freight. Talk about deceptive business practices. This store should be investigated. Do not take your fragile items here to ship unless you packed it yourself. If you get charged for dimensional weight, make sure the store actually uses the appropriate box.
