Schedule passport appointments elsewhere. We scheduled well in advance, showed up prepared with our paperwork and photos ready to go to find out all but one person called out for the day. So we had to wait for our packets to be worked on between customers. A supervisor came out to tell people who were dropoff, pickup or question she was available. That doesn't help us at all if you can't get behind a register to process others or help us send our passport applications. Why do you have appointments if you don't honor them? I was overcharged hundreds of dollars for shipments that were sent that supposedly were not weighed or marked correctly. Often get package delivery alerts but no packages. The last two deliveries were smashed - they were gift boxes and were ruined. The last two deliveries I received were taped with red and white tape saying they were "damaged" but it was clearly just cut open and items were removed - which happened last year a couple times including a wallet where just the empty package was delivered. I've given up on shipping anything at all through this PO. I haven't calculated by total losses but it's something that just keeps happening so I don't see anything improving. No plans to order anything more on delivery or use this PO to ship. I wish they were not like this. read more

I had a package scanned 12/07 @5:45 AM, had a schedule delivery for 12/07 and did not get updated on my package and STILL don't have one !! This is really sad and if you all are short staff you all Should be hiring bc this is a busy season and people want their packa delivered in timely manner!!! read more

USPS Main Branch, Montgomery, AL - What is going on at the Post Office? Picture this. The doors are locked, the lights are off, and the blinds in the front window are shredded as if they have been mishandled by an abnormally sized canine. This is what I arrived to on Tuesday, July 29th at 8 am. A lone despondent postal worker donning holey thin gray sweatpants and a holey "USPS" shirt arrived to open at 8:15 am. He slowly unlocked the doors and "invited in" the 5 waiting customers. One individual requested boxes to mail a number of packages. He was lectured by the postal worker to order online because he cannot give out all of the supplies. The customer responded that he had ordered online, but the boxes were never received. Next, a young lady walked in and requested a passport application. Supposedly, the "main branch" is an official passport location. However, the "main branch" did not have any passport applications for distribution. Next, I requested a label to mail an Express package. Of course, labels are not available in the lobby. I receive the label and fill out the address for my packages. I pay. The receipt machine jams up and the receipt is half/printed. I wait. I finally received a fully printed receipt. Again, WHAT. IS. GOING. ON? Keep in mind that if you live in Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Montgomery, and other surrounding areas, your mail navigates its way through this post office before leaving Montgomery. The City of Montgomery, the customers and the postal worker deserve a better environment. The standards of the working environment and the services in general are too low. Until this improves, take your business elsewhere. read more

Walked in to two staff members at the desk. One apologizes to the other and says "I'm sorry to do this but I'm going to go" (possibly going on a lunch break). 17 people in line and only one staff member. Register was out of change by 1345. Poorly managed and staffed. Props to the individual still here working by himself.. he was doing his best to help everyone. read more

I put 60 stamped, sealed, addressed and return addressed Christmas cards into a blue USPS mail box outside the Winton Blount station in Montgomery, Al. on Dec. 9. None have been delivered, They were going to California, Colorado, Indiana, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas and Alabama including Montgomery. Again, none have been delivered. I went to the Winton Blount post office, they told me mail is often stolen from their boxes and sent me to another post office on the eastern Southern Blvd. There they told me no boxes were reported broken into in December in Montgomery and my cards are probably in the Winton Blount facility. I presumed that once I mailed my cards in a USPO box, the US government had control of the mail and they would be distributed as addressed. The one star is there because I had to leave one to post. i have a package currently held at this location because "customer requested package to be held" ummm.. excuse me, no i did not! it was supposed to be delivered yesterday (saturday) but it still said shipped last night on amazon, so i checked again this morning. today, sunday 9/17/23, it says it's being held for pickup at my request!!! i did NOT request this! i'm going tomorrow to see wtf is going on. it's not like this was an expensive package, but if they'd do this with something this small, who knows if they'd lie and say i requested they hold something bigger and then it gets stolen!! i'll update my post after i find out what's going on but i most definitely did not request this to be held and i'm mad. read more

I know all the reviews discourage giving this place a chance, but I think it was pretty good! I scheduled a passport appointment for this week 10:30 am. The wait can get long as they also have to assist with a long line. But the employee was informative and even when I forgot a document, he told me I could come back and he still helped me get my application in! They are a bit understaffed because they must tend to the line AND passport appointments, but I had a pretty good experience! Will definitely come back. read more

This postal station was really good. They got right to unloading the truck, which is good so I don't have to is sit around and lose money. The people where really nice and friendly which is always a good deal on my book. I would recommend my truck driver friends come delivered or pick up here. read more

I think this is the second largest post office in Montgomery, distribution wise. But it does have a much larger lobby area than other post offices. And I appreciate the kiosks they have, if you want to quickly buy stamps or mail a package. read more

I have been here four times in past four weeks and there are never any priority labels in the lobby. I always have to wait in a long line to get one from the clerks and then wait again. They have mounds of them behind the counter. Just restock them please! read more

This post office was not even located on Yelp. The first post office I went to in Montgomery was so old and small and this one was newer and much bigger but I think everyone in Montgomery goes to this post office. I was mailing small pumpkins and the lady was not sure h ow to do it so I had to explain to her what the ladies at my last post office did. The lady was extremely friendly and she said mailing pumpkins was a first for her. It took me 45 minutes to get through the line so I was really hoping I did not forget anything because there were only 2 ladies working and the line was out the interior door and this was in the middle of the day. I will always go to the U.S. Post Office before FedEx unless I need them to package something specifically for me. read more

Had a package that I paid for to be delivered with express shipping. I get a confirmation that it was delivered and that they signed for at the front desk. The package was delivered on 11/02. So I know some time it might take a day to place the key in the PO Box. Went a day later no key for my package, go back the rod day no package. Go inside to see where my package is and the lady acting as if my package wasn't there. She then take my information and states she would call me. No call all day go back to my P.O. Box to find a unprofessional note in my PO Box stating they never received it instead of her calling me because I would've came back to get the issue resolved. I will be back up there first thing today. Either they are going to find my package or I'll take the proper sets to to get them to find it. read more
