Mailed two international packages second week of December. Postage was over $100. for each package. I brought them to the PO with prepaid labels already attached. There was nothing for the clerk to do except to scan them - a one moment task. Asked clerk to make sure that each package got scanned. Response was, "Of course I will." Well, both packages were never scanned. They now show on the usps site as - Not Shipped. Because of that I cannot put in an insurance claim for each lost package. Clerk at PO said - "Maybe you forgot to bring them here. Sorry we can't do anything else." That is right. I paid $100 for the postage for each box and then I just forgot to bring them in. I spoke personally to the Supervisor at this PO and his response, while he kept yawning, was "Sorry there is nothing I can do". My advice to everyone is to go to another PO. Christmas is now ruined for two grandchildren but who cares. read more

Morons didn't hold package like they said they would then I try calling and no one answers. Ridiculous incompetence.

I was at the box office today, New Year's eve. I was looking for the proper fitting box for my items. There is a huge difference between the flat rate box and the medium, however my complaint is about the rudeness of the young man working that day. He was rude and not willing to help. I understand that he can not pack my items, he made that very clear but I misunderstood him regarding the placement of the tape. He was condescending, treated me as if I was stupid. I finally gave up and decided to finish my packing at home. The woman next in line seemed to have the same issue and he was equally condescending. I have always have great customer service there. Totally Incompetent and snotty too!! I've called multiple times asking that our postal carrier close our mailbox. I've been assured by the post office manager that they would talk to the carrier. Our postal carrier has not closed our mailbox for the last six months. Our mail, including checks, are getting soaked to the point of being illegible. Last week I put in a mail hold request. I have confirmation of both the start date of the mail hold and the fact that it ended today. While out of town, our mail was not held at the post office but was, instead, crammed into our mailbox and once again, soaked beyond recognition. How does anyone deal with this level of incompetency? This post office needs a live person answering the phone to answer questions. Was on the phone with the animated system for about 10 minutes. I am so tired of these businesses that don't have phones or people to assist you. read more
