Customer service is what it is all about. This Post Office is not like those one would find in the big city that has 24/7 kiosks that one can do everything on their own, so access to post office services here is limited in that regard. However, the front staff here have been outstanding. I came here twice during Christmas week to get some last minute items shipped off to customers and the staff were very friendly, had a great deal of patience's and surprising this post office is very fast. If you are in a rush, you can count on this post office to deliver fast service. I live in Munford but Millington sorts all of our mail then sends it to Munford. I went to the Munford post office for help with a shipment that stopped moving and has been sitting in Memphis. There were signs all over their doors to call the Millington post office. That was a waste of time. The person that answered the phone was rude and had an attitude. When I mentioned that I'm trying to get help getting a package that is medication that I needed urgently she kept saying she couldn't help me. I asked if they could contact the warehouse she said no that no one can call them. She then ended the call by hanging up on me. How this person had a job in customer service is beyond me. Post office staff was wonderful. I had an appointment and arrived early as the online instructions directed. Was assisted right away. The staff is very polite and professional. Our 45 minute appointment for multiple people was accomplished in half the time. While I was there, the staff greeted many customer by name as they came in. Two customers were agitated because they could not get done what they hoped to, but the agents were calm and polite as they explained what and why they couldn't do what was asked. 5 star service with a smile. read more

This is the best Customer Service oriented post office I've ever experienced. Twice I've had questions about delivery statuses on packages and called this post office for clarification. The postal worker actually called the postman to ask him about the packages. I don't see how you can ask for more great service than that. Would give zero stars if that were an option. Absolutely unhelpful staff - if they've "never seen it before in their whole career" they aren't willing to help with services other USPS locations have confirmed to do. Don't expect staff to be helpful here, they're ready to leave but will do the bare minimum before punching out. So frustrating. read more

My mail was spontaneously stopped from being delivered to my home for no real reason other than I have a 6 pound dog that is intimidating to the post man. Now keep in my mind when my mail is delivered, this dog is an indoor dog and never outside. Nor is she aggressive. So in other words, if you don't feel like doing your job at this post office, it's fine, the postmaster (who I attempted to speak with) is ok with that. I'm an ER nurse, if I just choose to not do my job, people die. Why do I deserve less of a customer service experience than what I'm expected to provide? And keep in mind, before my mail was stopped, not a word was said to me as the why! Now I have to pay for a mailbox at the UPS store for absolutely no reason! Infuriating! read more
