They have ample parking. You can purchase tickets online or on site. They have the tours every hour. It's very informative. You will come out a bit smarter with the music and ways of playing the music games during this period. They have a great selection of music memories and outfits that others wore all those years ago. This time, when a friend came to town, I finally worked up the courage to explore it together. To my surprise, the neighborhood has changed so much. The area is now well developed and organized, completely different from what I remembered. I really enjoyed taking my time reading through the exhibits and learning about the history of soul music and the incredible artists who shaped it. There was something deeply emotional about learning about the decline of the community and studio, while also witnessing its rebirth and preservation. It made the visit feel inspiring and meaningful beyond just music history. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Memphis!

Graceland has always been on my bucket list. I'm not even that big of an Elvis fan, but the house…read moreis just so legendary! So while in Memphis, we absolutely had to visit. And I was so impressed with how organized this whole facility is for both the house tour and the exhibits. We pre-purchased tickets for the 11am Elvis Experience. We arrived a little early and watched a short pre-show video before boarding a shuttle across the street to the house. We opted for the audio tour device, which was really smart since we didn't have a guided tour. They explain how to use the iPad and you get a really fun narration from John Stamos as you go throughout the two lower levels of the house. The Jungle Room and the Billiard Room did not disappoint! And by the time we made it to the Memorial Garden to see Elvis's grave, I was very moved. The house tour took about an hour and then we actually spent another couple of hours going through all the exhibits (the car museum, the planes, the concert costumes, and more). We even ate lunch at Glady's Diner on site (there are a couple places to sit and have food) which looks like an old 1950s diner and serves pizza, hot dogs, burgers, salads and milkshakes. Overall, I was so impressed by the whole facility. And I came away loving Elvis just a little bit more!

The King is still here!…read more Elvis Presley Graceland! What a legend to step in here. The original grounds were a family farm! Elvis bought the land and sewed in the seeds of rock n roll. The seeds of Elvis are deep here in Memphis. This was the voice of Sun Records that it sounds that they were looking for. He used that fame to make his legacy stand but to make the community better too. They have over 200,00 square feet of the homestead, airplanes, cars, museum space that you want the VIP access for the ultimate experience and views. Many come from all over to see the King! The lines are sometimes very long and can be difficult. Do the VIP? It's the best! Less wait time? Better luck for you and your group. Make sure and listen you will learn so much about the King that you did not even know. The wall surrounding Graceland has so many personality too. Many individuals leave their mark here for the King still today. Read the words of others who have left their mark for him.

I hadn't been since I was a kid, so I was excited to visit again. For the most part, a lot was the same as I remember and I was excited to show the kids. There were a few new things too, which was cool. We didn't get a chance to do the planetarium ($5 on the free third Thursdays) nor the giant screen theater (also $5). Next time, I for sure want to take my son inside the planetarium because it was my most favorite thing as a kid. Hopefully, he'll love it too. As an adult, the museum definitely seems a bit random and there's not a whole lot that's interesting (unless you're a huge science/history fan). Overall, the kids enjoyed themselves and that's all that matters.

Housing a small collection of regional artifacts; informative displays about the life and everyday items of the indigenous people. A reconstructed Mastodon (a replica from a cast) stands in the entryway, a number of real fossils are on display. "Old Town Arkansas" is a walkthrough display of shops and offices from the early 1800's. This is a kid friendly place with a number of interactive displays and activities. If you don't expect this to be the MET, you will not be disappointed. Yes it is a small place but I really enjoyed the visit and will follow the website to see future exhibits.

The queen of soul was born here in Memphis, Tennessee. A woman that was raised here but became the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Not only did she become a superstar winning Grammy after Grammy. She was a civil rights servant to so many individuals. She used her voice to and fame to keep the civil rights movement going. She performed free concerts and put gas in the vans for people to drive. This is where she came from, now she's watching from Heaven. This special lady, a preachers daughter.
