I believe upon and entering tickets we're given out prior to the line up so basically I guess that means that my ticket number represents the place in as it is understood to be. I heard a customer yell out about his disliking for the wait. Tucked in a rundown little town, the experience still felt worthwhile...and let's be honest, the town is definitely capitalizing on the legacy of The Man in Black. But something tells me Johnny wouldn't mind one bit. The visit starts in a modest welcome center with memorabilia and a short film. Then, in classic small-town style, you follow behind the guide in your car about two miles to the actual home. The house is small, simple, and humble, just as you'd imagine a Depression-era homestead to be. It's been lovingly restored and really does feel like a window into Johnny's early life. Afterward, you head back to town to explore another small exhibit focused on homesteading history and a bit more on Johnny himself. It was a perfectly fine way to spend the afternoon, especially if you're a Cash fan or enjoy a dose of Americana. Only disappointment? The t-shirts for sale were kind of blah. Come on, people...give us some merch worthy of an American legend.

I took my toddler just to explore and see what they have to offer for his age range and I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the amount of resources. When I pulled into the parking lot, there were plenty of places to park. I also noticed a place to charge electric cars! Nice touch to a modern day facility. There is a blood pressure station as soon as you walk in. I tried to check mine, but my toddler wouldn't let me sit still long enough. When then walked to the front desk and they showed us to the children's area. It was super inviting with multiple stations to learn and play! There were coloring sheets, puzzles, legos, blocks, and so much more. I also loved the unique reading areas with a huge selection of books! We checked out four of them! I loved the outdoor play area. It's so kid friendly and clean. The staff were absolutely amazing! They were helpful. Matter of fact, they selected the books for me to check out. My toddler got a little fussy and they didn't hesitate to assist. I appreciate them for that. This will definitely be somewhere we add to our weekly routine. Love it!
