I submitted a change of address request approximately three months ago. According to the system, the request was successfully processed, and my new local post office confirmed that the change was active. However, despite this, none of my mail has been forwarded to my new address. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve my mail by driving an hour to my previous residence and coordinating with the property management office. I also visited the Meridian post office in person to seek assistance in resolving the issue. Since they were unable to help me at that time, I was asked to provide a written explanation of the situation. The employee who assisted me stated that a supervisor would contact me regarding the matter. It has now been over a week, and I have yet to receive any follow-up communication. I am currently on hold for more than 15 minutes simply trying to speak with someone about this unresolved issue. always have issues with this store, package said it could not be delivered due to incomplete address and went to pick it up in store. They then told me I couldn't get it today as it was still on the truck and that I could get it tomorrow then i checked the tracking and it says it was returned to sender. They also never pick up the phone so if you want any "help" you have to go in person for you to still then get no help. read more

I understand the building is under construction but how they are handling this situation is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Having people stand in LONG LINES outside in the elements is not the answer! The lines are so long that you can be waiting often more than 30 minutes. This building should have been split up into workable areas so business is not done outside! I've been here during the week in the morning and on the weekend right before closing. Both times the staff was super friendly and willing to help. I could tell they tried to be as fast as possible while still engaging with the customers. The parking lot is midsized and there is street parking. * Management should have more staff up front during peak hours to help reduce wait times. read more

I normally use Fed Ex but this was the office around and I needed to send my dad a Fathers Day box in time. Yay... No line at the Post office !! I pretty much packed the box and wrote the address label and the clerk actually taped it properly. He was very kind and actually pretty fast. This office is the worst in their service. I say this as a 12 year veteran of the post office. I have spoken to the manager - she doesn't care about service or her staff being rude. No one seems to want to work there. And they will never do anything more than the bare minimum. I was notified a package was delivered Monday morning. I went to the parcel pick up door - waited 15 minutes for someone to answer. I asked the clerk for the package. She told me to get in line and a counter clerk would get it for me. The line was out the door. I came back Tuesday and waited for the counter clerk. I explained what the woman told me the day before - he had no desire to get my package - because the box clerk had to put them up. I told him this was my 2nd attempt to get the package - he was pissy and went in the back. I'm not searching for your package - you can wait for it to be up - after 10:30 am. I'm here now; it's not my job he says - you have to wait for the clerk to do their job. I came back the 3rd day to get my package. When I worked there - the package would have been pulled on day 1 to not inconvenience the customer. read more

They have the consistent worst service! You can get a picture of what main you are supposed to get but it's a 50/50 chance even though you see a picture and you are supposed to get it- it doesn't really mean it will be delivered to you! Alls to there mean nothing! My valid drivers license was not delivered to me and I had to go to DMV and request another but that valid photo ID is still out there with another piece of mail. Today a check reimbursement and a letter were supposed ti be delivered and nope - just a junk election paper was delivered! They are the rudest, most useless post office in Idaho! read more

I have had two mail holds ignored in the past year, and I cannot get anyone at the office to answer a telephone. While my letter carrier is pretty darn good, any extra services through the postmaster seem to be ignored. I want to stop using this post office, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that short of selling my home. read more

5 days agoNEW I went through orientation and training to become a Cca before deciding to do something else & they didnt pay me all I was owed.... I've sent emails, spoke to supervisors and the post master and still NOTHING!! I am sooooo disappointed that it was completely disregarded, as if I didn't need that money for bills.... The good, the bad and the ugly ... The Good:  Didn't wait in line long.  Office was clean. Postal supervisor Angie and clerk Marrgo are 5* standouts, overbrimming with courtesy, helpfulness and goodwill. The bad and the ugly: MARK. What a dreadful shockingly abusive bully of a man/baby. I'm spending the winter in Meridian  with family, had to mail a certified package to Las Vegas DMV.  Mark's idea of help is to belittle, bully and overloudly repeat the same instructions OVER AND OVER AND OVER ... SECOND UP FROM THE BOTTOM SHELF ... blah blah ... I DON'T HAVE X-RAY VISION.   The supervisor came out to assist me and told MARK, GET BACK TO WORK MARK, I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.  The other postal patrons looked at me in sympathy at this public shaming.  So I had to get out of line while the supervisor helped me locate the envelope I needed for my items, she was so kind, gentle and reassured me that everything is fine. When I got back in line, MARK barked out I CAN HELP YOU OVER HERE. I thought OH HELL NO and invited the woman behind me to take that spot and she smiled in sympathy. My thoughts to MARK: I'm not stupid I'm not deaf You need to give better instructions and not shout them repeatedly across the lobby as if addressing a deficient child. How about "Look for the padded envelope that your plates will fit in", instead of SECOND UP FROM THE BOTTOM ... over and over ... and MARK, most of all, GET HELP, you clearly need help to erase the hate and cruelty from your heart. I didn't have an extraordinary or difficult situation and yet if not for your co-workers I would have crawled out of there in humiliation.  Doesn't that position START at like $19.50 an hour? They open at 8am Monday-Friday which is super helpful. I remember when post offices and banks didn't open until 9am or even 10am during the week, so I appreciate this. The downer though on opening early is the staffing - there was only 1 person working the counter with a line of about 8 people, so the wait was significant. If I could, I would do away with the Meridian USPS. While some pf the employees are truly doing a yeoman's job, too many seem to be operating with a sub-average IQ. The first thing I have to say is that I am going to stop doing mail-order business with any company that uses the USPS for the "last mile" delivery. Yesterday they said they had tried to deliver, but had to leave a note as to why they didn't. No note, so on this weekend I am wondering where the package is? It is the USPS at its lowest. Second, their idiocy has seen as getting all the political mailers for Meridian, but not for Eagle. Why? Because, we are part of the 83646 Zip which is handled out of the Meridian Office, So all the automated addressing machines stick Meridian on our address, rather than Eagle. The Assessor and County Clerk know of the changes, but the USPS refuses to change their addressing. So we get Meridian mailers, but pay Eagle taxes. I haven't found a need to go inside, yet, but I frequently go thru the drive thru to drop off my mail. It's easy, convenient & much faster as far as my ETA goes than dropping it in the mail slot at the local grocery. Thank you! The mail carrier In my area are so lazy. The lady is always leaving notes in our box saying can't deliver the mail because trash cans blocked the mail box. Wow she couldn't deliver the mail, but had time to wright a not and put it in our box. I can't help where the trash guy drops the cans. Again today there were no cans blocking the mailbox.The other notes we have received is when a car or my truck is parked in front of my house, not blocking the mailbox. She left a note again. We have seen her not deliver mail because she can't drive up to the mailbox. The weekend guys have never had a problem. read more

I moved to this area a week ago and I'll like to say that the workers are really nice and helped me with all my needs. I had a bunch of boxes waiting to be picked up and they put it in a rolling cart so I can take it to the car. That's great customer service. read more

Always a supporter of the government worker. I too am in public service. HOWEVER, our mail is often not received and many times delivered to us by those with the same 3 numbers in their address, or their street has the same first letter. NOTHING else being similar: name, street, or direction. Have tried numerous times to contact the post office to complain of services and of grave serious concerns. In return, pretty much expressions, without saying, they don't care. This would include the Post Master who doesn't return phone calls and makes excuses for employees who just don't bother to read the writing on the mail. The simple neglect or complacency of their responsibilities have left us often missing important mail at tax season, late on filing important documents, and a few packages, paid for, that just never arrived. If it weren't for the kindness of strangers we might never receive packages and/or mail. By our calculation strangers deliver sometimrs more accurately and consistent they those who are paid. For those who get my mail, are honest enough to not keep packages, and continue to drive to my house making sure I get it. Meridian's Post Office is great. This tiny little post office is all about service. They work so hard to please their customers. When I go inside it just brightens my day. They are always willing to help me pack my packages properly. You can also catchup on local gossip when you stop in. I imagine that long, long, ago when customer service was important all post offices were like this. read more

If the Meridian PO was to close it would be a public service. I have never seen such incompetence in my whole life. No wonder they can't make a profit and everyone is using alternatives to the PO to send items. Today I left a note for the mail person (our regular one who is awesome has been out due to an injury). I also had two sympathy cards to be mailed and put them with the note. When I went to pick up today's mail both cards were still in the mail box (along with additional mail) and the note was gone. In the past there have been several incidents when similar problems occurred. Three cards were mailed to a friend in Boise. All were Love Pop cards (same size) with the same amount of postage. Two were delivered one was returned 6 weeks later with "insufficient postage". At that time I was told it depends on the receiving PO to make that call. I also received a phone call from a friend who has heard my many stories about the postal system (including a package from LA that was never delivered but tracked to Meridian and I was told it would be delayed - 5 years and still waiting) and she advised me that the Thanksgiving card I sent her on November 18th arrived on December 18th. I have more examples but I believe these should suffice to make my point. I wish someone could give me advice on what I can do to stop this. In addition to being a major inconvenience and I have to apologize for missing important dates, I also have to find an appropriate sized envelope and re-postage it - essentially paying for postage twice - unless I am able to hand deliver it. I won't use USPS for packages because I can't depend on them and I have, on occasion, used FedEx or UPS if an envelope HAS to be delivered on time. read more

I came in the other day to ship out a package. The man in front of me in line was treated horribly by one of the men working there. I'm not exactly sure what lead up to the situation since I had just gotten in line. The man dropping off the package very kindly asked to speak to a supervisor, however the employee would not get the supervisor. From someone who has worked many customer service jobs, you should always get the supervisor when someone asks. Especially considering from what I saw, the customer was being very polite while the employee was being belligerent. This is only my most recent experience, I have come in countless other times and dealt with rude employees. Nothing will ever change of course because it's the US Post office, they don't have to care about customer service because they will always be in business. However I would recommend going to the UPS store instead if you can, the employees are definitely kinder and you most likely won't wait as long. read more

Post Office supervisors take note!! This is the worst local post office I have ever dealt with. I'm not talking about how I'm treated at the office, I'm talking about how these folks don't deliver mail correctly, can't use common sense and couldn't care less about whether the mail gets to its destination or not. For instance, when I submitted address changes to this post office for home and business it was a nightmare. They held my mail for weeks without giving me a clue. I submitted all requests online correctly but it turned into a fiasco. I also regularly get mail that belongs to others both at my office and when my residence was in Meridian. I had an item I ordered delivered supposedly to the wrong address (per their tracking system) which caused me to have to buy it again and I couldn't get my money back for the first one which mysteriously showed up weeks later in my box. I hate that my office is still in this post office district and have no trust that my mail actually gets to me, or that it gets out of this post office correctly. Supervisors- please retrain your employees or hire ones who are competent. read more

Before we moved to Idaho last year we sent a certified letter for our deposit in our apartment there. After a few weeks our apartment call us and ask where the check was, and we were shocked to learn that it never left the post office. The Meridian Post Office actually had our certified letter sitting in a box neglected! I call the USPS to complain, but was told basically that it was an administrative and bureaucratic nightmare to try and prosecute this. Since we have moved here, the mail delivery has actually been good, but I noticed that one of the female postal carriers left our mailbox open once, and then did not deliver a package even though the note said "Sorry we missed you!" I have surveillance cameras and saw that she never even got out of her vehicle. So this morning I go to the post office to pick it up and the line is out the door and it was only 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Pathetic! read more
