Now has automated postage machine. Less need to stand on line. They removed mailboxes at exit of lot. Less convenient.

You cannot call this post office; no answer! Tried many times at various hours. So, if you are homebound you have no options.

I called the Post Office and they stated I cannot change the zip code because its associated with my address and I can go to any post office I choose. The CS rep stated he was wrong for saying that. I had to get it back so I went back to the post office first thing in the morning and they told me they didn't have the computer needed to help me so I had to go back home and do it online by myself. And so I did it. It said the letter is eligible for an intercepting but I had to provide the address of the original destination and the address of IRS PA is AUR CORR 5-E08-112 and it didn't recognize the address and didn't let me proceed with the application. I tried to call customer service and get an explanation about the address provided but after a 20 minute talk and choosing all types of options I didn't get to speak to an agent. I went back to the post office again and asked if they could help and they again said they couldn't help me and that I should call customer service. I called customer service again and this time I was told that there was no customer service available at this time (it was Saturday morning). Then I went back to the post office and they got aggravated of the fact that I kept coming back and told me that they will get me to speak to a supervisor. After this supervisor passed by me around 5 times and didn't seem to care I waited 25 minutes before I finally got to speak to him. What I was told was very disappointing. He not only didn't help but he didn't mind his business and asked me if it was the first time I'm sending things to IRS and why I'm sending it. He told me to call them and that was it. I am very disappointed of the customer service. Institutions like this one work perfectly by plan but when something goes wrong they don't know how to help and what to do. They all seemed very confused it was ridiculous.

If you knew how the United States Postal Service is run, you would never complain again (at least…read moreto the guy weighing your package.) The Post Office is for all intents and purposes a jobs program managed through a strangulating thicket of outmoded work and funding rules by the United States Congress whose members all want to deliver jobs and pork to their districts damn all sanity and economic logic. Congress has driven the country $30T into debt, do you think for a minute they're going to shed their fiscal mania for the Post Office. Most of these legislative leeches couldn't run a fruit stand profitably. Over the past twenty years first class mail has all but evaporated and the front desk at the USPS has gone from selling stamps to handling pallets of online shipments while their Congressional overseers have allowed UPS, FedEx and Amazon to eat their lunch on pricing and speed. So, if things seem a little haywire I never blame the good folks on the front lines. Sure the mail has been a little slow but I blame our latest and lamest Postmaster General Louis DeJoy who in a desperate attempt to Make the USPS Great Again has intentionally cut back hours, services and available technologies to their legally permissible limits. And let's be real, over the last decade customer service has taken a nosedive in every conceivable industry from health care to the Jelly of the Month Club so rudeness and incompetence is hardly an exclusive virtue of the USPS. Like anywhere else, it just depends on who you get. The USPS does a fine job considering the idiots running the joint. Five stars for the front line who soldier on admirably while their masters choke on the entrails of their pork. Oink on Senators.

They're always on their feet. They have to deal with us...the public. AND they are restricted heavily by the government. If they were a publically traded company I'd buy stock in them.
