After she walked away, another nice young lady came up and asked "how can I help?" She said that she could do a package via FedEx to Round Mountain, only to have the grumpy lady yell from across the shop, "you have to use US Mail!"... anyway, I sent it via FedEx and it arrived in 3 days. I feel bad for the young lady who helped me as she was getting chastised as I walked out the door... UPS has pulled their operation out of this joint and rightfully so. Can't see using them for anything.

Ok let me start with saying WTF…read more... I put in a return address to Fallon when moving fromTennessee to Seattle. Ok. We were in Fallon for two weeks. That was in October. By November we had already put in change of address for Seattle before leaving Fallon. We were even two days late moving in. Due to weather. And other I for seen factors. Now, with that being said why are my boyfriend and I receiving torn, mutilated, dirty, past due bills from December in January beginning of February. And past due bills from January mid February. Also, my Boyfriend's father has to mail us or mail that does not come to new apartment often. Which his envelopes looked open and ripped at the corners like they were opened on purpose. And often take one to two extra days to arrive. Really we must know Fallon Post office. What is your problem with me personally and who I'm living with????? I need my mail. I order online because I don't have the time to go to the post office or to the store to pick it up. This is ridiculous! I work during the times the post office is opened and on the days they're not opened that's the only time I can pick up my packages. I'm planning to reach out to HR because I'm not paying a ton of money for shipping just to go drive and get the damn package myself. They need to give me money for gas and for wasting my time. She came out with the large package (a toaster oven) on a dolly. She explained that the contractors delivering mail were getting so many large packages they could not get them all in their vehicles every day for delivery. She wheeled the package out to my vehicle and put it in for me. Glad to report a good job all the way around for the Post Office and their friendly professional employee.

I will now go to another town for stamps and priority mail etc.

Overall the US Postal service has kept their prices as low as possible in today's economy. It seems the only people who give 1 star reviews is one bad experience, and they never give it another try. Once in a blue moon one thing may go wrong and only those instances in my opinion are documented and reported here on Yelp. I am thankful they did me a favor of bringing my UPS package to the UPS when I accidentally dropped it off to this location. The only bad experience I ever had here is the teller refusing to give me tape to close my box because she said they sell some on the shelf. That made them lose the 1 star I would've gave to make this a 4 star review. It may be policy to refuse offering tape to a customer, but when they know it is a reasonable request to ask for complimentary 8 inches of tape on a 20 foot role, that's not too much to ask. They would be a 5 star review if they did that, and also answered their phones when you need to call them.

Ambiance - Huge location, including the parking lot. Service - Okay. Mostly self service. Well today the line was crazy long?!?! See pictures. Open 5.5 days. Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm; and on Saturday from 10am to 1pm. They are closed on Sundays. Services available at this location - Financial services (money orders, etc), passport, pickup services (mail hold, etc), business services, biometric services (fingerprint, in person proofing), etc. Price - Affordable. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1971 (formed in Washington DC) with your $80B in revenue. Much controversy about your profitability or lack of it. This is an "independent" agency of the executive branch of our US government. You have an amazing history dating back to 1775, but I will not go into that here.

Maybe they should do that in the back when there are 20 people waiting in line. Finally another person comes to help. Both clerks in the back for 10+ minutes. Apparently they can't find what customers need. I've lived in Carson City for 5 years and EVERY time it's a similar experience.
