All I can say is that I wish that they cloned this one. The postmistress is as nice as can be -- cheerful and helpful to the customer. That's true with other country post offices that I've dealt with, but I think that that the one in Callicoon Center is particularly noteworthy for the quality of service provided. There are plans afoot to shut rural post offices, and fortunately the Callicoon Center P.O. isn't on the hit list. One merchant, who lives some distance away in a different zip code, told me that he keeps a p.o. box at this post office because of its reputation for great service. I kid you not. This is the Nirvana of post offices. I buy all my stamps here, and I mail packages from here as much as possible because it's important to give business to rural post offices that are in danger of closing.

Someone from the Cochecton Post Office took the time to figure out at least what city to send this piece of mail to. Fortunately I have a P.O. box in this city. Therefore once it got to my city, someone at that post office recognized my name and put in it my P.O. box. So hats off to the good folks at the Cochecton Post Office for taking the time and effort that enabled me to receive this important piece of mail; A 1099 tax document.
