Inconsistency is apparently key for this USPS location. I work at a local business within the post office's area and we have a ton of orders that need to go out every day. On multiple occasions I've had to call the post office to ask why our REGULARLY SCHEDULED postman hasn't shown up to retrieve our outgoing orders. Usually, they don't have an answer for me as to why their employees don't follow their routes correctly or they just tell me they don't have time to send anyone out to us. I understand the busy holiday season, but this has happened multiple times during the 7 months that I've worked here. I've also noticed that it seems like none of their employees have any sort of phone training, because they're all pretty rude and there have been times that I've called, told them what was happening and just got an, "Okay?" And nothing else from them. Super awkward. At one point, our regular mail man didn't show up for days, and when I called to inquire they told me that he had been transferred to another location and hadn't been replaced yet. WHAT?? The fact that they didn't notify us of the change or at least let us know that NO ONE would be picking up our mail for the foreseeable future was beyond me. Monday we had a mountain of orders to go out from the black friday shopping weekend (photo included), and they were not picked up. I called, and was informed that our mail man was on vacation and that no one would be by. Again, our business relies on these orders and our customers are so angry when their packages are delayed, and I hate that it is out of my hands. Look at how many packages there are, and turn those into that many upset customers now that their supplies are delayed. Sunnyside PO needs to learn how to schedule and staff their location properly, because their negligence affects our business and I'm sure many others in the area. read more

Had to go here to get my lock changed/ a new mail key and it has been over a month. I went to get an update today and they told me that there is one person doing lock changes and he was out of town for a few days so is trying to catch up. They could not give me a time frame that I would be able to receive a new key to actually get my mail. They also never called when they had picked up my mail in the first place. I had to go in and ask them for it. They never pick up their phone so don't even try. You have to go in for an update every time you need something. read more

Up until a couple months ago, it really wasn't that bad. But recently, they completely took us off of their mail route. Granted I'm at a difficult address to find, but for 5 years I have had very few problems getting my mail. From what I can gather, the postal worker that used to deliver our mail, and knew where our mail slot was, no longer worked our route. The new postal worker was not able to find our address, and instead of questioning why, just decided to take us off of the route altogether. After two visits to this post office, we did receive our VERY delayed mail. And my very delayed, I mean more than a month late since it was rerouted over and over again. Including Christmas cards with gift certificates and checks inside... And government documents that were time sensitive... and a bank debit card that I needed desperately. Now our mail comes once in a while, with notes like, "No Such Address" still being written on the pieces by the postal workers. One piece of mail arrived from Arizona on January 14th after being postmarked January 4th. Contacting the main # for USPS does nothing. They file a case # and tell you to call the Colorado/Wyoming main office, which goes in a loop to no one when you call it. And no one ever calls you back regarding your case/claim. In case you want to complain directly to the Postmaster General, well, you have to do so IN WRITING (no email, no calling)! WTF?! Guess I get to go in on a regular basis and complain until they get tired of me and actually do their jobs and deliver my damn mail. Glad to see my tax money going to such a worthless institution. This is a true gem among Post Offices. I frequent this location very often and am never met with long lines -- I think the longest I've ever waited was maybe 5 minutes. I know what I'm going to experience every time I visit: great service with a smile. FYI - it's cheaper to send things through the USPS than any of the other competitors. read more

This is clearly the worst post office in the country, if not the world. No idea why they're my post office. I drive by a great post office on Tennyson on my way to this place miles from my house. All of the other post offices know the reputation of this place. There is literally a different carrier every day. No wonder they constantly misdeliver my mail. They're incapable of doing a simple mail stop/start. I've used them for nearly 10 years and they continue to deliver the mail after I've had it on hold. Everyday in my security video, I watch my mail pile up and thieves steal my packages. Finally, I asked for a supervisor. Apparently, she's too scared to the come to the counter. The number they gave me goes straight to voice mail. The new people they've hired are straight out of a Seinfeld episode. Rude, arrogant typical government employees. I ordered a package over a month ago, besides how long it took to ship, I was waiting at home for 2 days for the package and twice a day it went from "our for delivery" to "vacant". Which apparently means I wasnt home even tho i was. Then they just inexplicably sent the package back to the sender even when i went to the post office. I was in the area so decided to find a post office. I like this branch. No long lines and, though, there was only one person at the counter, she was more than efficient. Though, I live no where near this area, I enjoyed witnessing the neighborhood place feel. It seemed like everyone who came in had regular interactions with the postal worker and some of the other patrons so they were friendly and chatty. While Serina was prompt to serve me, when I asked about a self-serve kiosk she said they don't have one because it would take away jobs. Really? Have you had your head in the sand, Serina? The post office is losing money. Hiring people? They should be using these kiosks for most of the services. It would eliminate long lines, and frustrated customers due to postal worker apathy. But please offer solutions instead if just looking down and saying "I don't now". I have also had issues with the locations CC machine going down. Very annoying. Once again, no one has delivered mail to my entire complex today. Often times things are marked online as "delivered" but the mail carrier didn't actually deliver it for several days after that. Once, I was told he didn't have time to deliver my building mail that day so he marked everything as delivered and kept it in the van. Real nice. My mom is a postmaster and has assured me that this is very much against protocol, yet this carrier remains employed.. Has happened three times where important mail has been "delivered" and never arrived at my door. He doesn't always lock the mailboxes, leaving my mail open for any one of my neighbors. The office itself is okay, the staff are reasonable, but the carriers here are the most negligent I have ever encountered. read more

Usually had an ok experience here but not today and lately they have been lacking in customer service. I've mailed over 100 of the same 6x8 rigid envelopes over the past 2 years and they have always gone the same way and cost no more than $1.21. But today I was told it came to over $3 and before I knew it the clerk posted the postage and tracking label. When I tried to explain that was incorrect I just got the runaround and not to mention I now have to print a new mailing label and get a new envelope to try the process again at a different post office that still believes in customer service. Last time I checked it was customary to tell the customer how much something cost before you try to charge them. read more

Dropped off envelopes with cards & thumbdrives in them. Their employee Donna was incredibly rude. She impatiently waited on me after barking about how they would cost more because they are considered parcels. I said I was okay with that. Then she went on to tell me they will most likely get lost in the mail, I just nervously smiled and asked what a better option would be. She had no suggestions. While she rang each one up she rolled her eyes and made faces to the other woman at the counter. I'm not one to write a bad review but I livid with the customer service I received. I was disappointed that the website says this post office is a passport photo center...and, it's really not. So - make sure to bring your photos with you. After I got over that first bad experience and the one bad clerk that delivered the news...I came back to process my passport application, photo in hand, and was delighted by the service. Wonderful, wonderful service from a lovely lady. After experiencing a bad day (due to external reasons), she completely made my day.
