I'm not sure if this Post Office is going out of business or what as there was a for sale sign on the outside. Maybe just the property is up for sale but I guess the Lummi Islanders can always go to Ferndale for their mail? Any way, it's cute just like the island. Although, there still is a bit of area that needs to be developed, but the islanders probably like the peace and quiet and the wonder view of the water surrounding it. Sadly, I won't be back here as this was a one time visit and there really isn't anything to see here (to my liking that is) but there may be something there for you.

Due to its size there is only one employee working at a time, so the line can get quite long, but that seems to be true at almost every post office these days. I've never been to the annual tulip festival, so did not know about this charming town. But I sure am glad we stopped by here. La Conner is a small town by the Swinomish Channel in Skagit County. It really has that waterfront charm to it, with small, local businesses that line down the main street, with patio dining that looks out to the dock and boats. There were many areas for public seating, with tables and chairs set up by the public boardwalk. I loved how historic the buildings are here! Much of the buildings have plaques that indicate its original purpose and the year it was established. We also walked behind the business centre of town where a residential area is, and loved the Victorian-style homes here. You just don't see many houses like that in urban areas, reminding you of that small town flavor. We are already planning to spend a weekend here sometime! Because of its tourism from the annual tulip festival, the town has some lodging options and fun activities for visitors and locals. Glad to have to stopped by this charming part of the state.

They carry a wide range of sizes of Priority Mail packaging (free) as well as a variety of the shipping supplies that you can purchase. Every tiny island should have a tiny little library. This one isn't as tiny as you would suspect,…read morebut it's just oozing with charm. I think my favorite part, truthfully, is the grounds. There's a flower-filled park and walkway from the road to the west, and a delightfully landscaped upper area surrounding the library itself. They also have a magazine dropoff so you can get rid of your old magazines here, which is kinda handy as well. It looks like there's a really good kid's section of books and plenty of books to fill the needs of the island, and I rather like the architecture of the building. Note that COVID has caused quite the commotion in the world of libraries, so you should probably call ahead to see if they have reopened, and what the protocol might be to get a book if you want one. I also am not sure about the requirements to check out books and get a membership.

We had a great experience at the Bellingham driver's license office! My husband needed a new…read morelicense to reflect our updated address, and since he had already used his online renewals, he had to go in person for a vision test. We didn't have an appointment, but even as a walk-in, the entire process took less than 30 minutes. It wasn't very crowded, and the office was well-organized. There are clear signs explaining that appointments are prioritized, which is helpful to know, and the electronic screens keep you updated in real time so you always know your place in line and estimated wait time. The clerk who assisted my husband was friendly, efficient, and professional. Overall, we were very pleased with how smooth and stress-free the visit was. A surprisingly positive DMV experience!

It would be helpful on this new requirements if they would tell you the specific documents to bring to prove your a citizenship like birth certificate. And certified marriage license.
