I genuinely enjoy small towns, for how quiet they are, the familiarity, the lack of homelessness you have ,that you see in bigger cities. And there are truly good people here. But over the years, the frustrations have outweighed the positives in ways that are hard to ignore. My biggest concern is the treatment of animals. This town has a serious problem with irresponsible pet ownership. Stray populations, aggressive dogs running loose, and a pound that falls short of what a community should expect of them. Dead animals are a regular sight on the roads, often left there for days without anyone taking responsibility for removal. Perhaps more disturbing, I've personally come across dead cats discarded beside garbage cans, left to rot alongside the trash. The fact that someone can throw their garbage away and walk past that without a second thought says a great deal about the lack of compassion in parts of this community. Complaints about dangerous dogs, including incidents involving pregnant women and children, have gone unaddressed. The hospital is another concern I can't overlook. I wouldn't feel confident/comfortable relying on them for a true emergency or with my life. The care feels rushed, dismissive, and at times simply forgotten. Law enforcement has also left me disappointed. Noise complaints that go nowhere, and a response to a child being physically assaulted that placed blame on the victim rather than the aggressor, that's not acceptable, regardless of the circumstances. Add to that deteriorating roads, a near total lack of sidewalks, and ongoing issues with speeding and bullying, and it paints a picture of a town that struggles with basic quality of life, and refuses to improve. This town has nothing for teenagers and familys to do, lacks serious concerns for maintaining anything. This whole town is falling apart. They don't maintain, roads, building's, signs, parks, sidewalks you name it. There is good here, sure. But it's been buried under too much of the bad for too long, and what a shame for a town right next to a river, that could offer so much enjoyment and beauty, but they don't care to.

I'm surprised to see that it ranks so low but I've never had any bad experiences here. Even today, while going in to return an item to be shipped back out, the staff was patient and helpful. This office is useless. No one can ever find your package and blame this on being so busy. If they…read moreall just worked instead of walking around saying jee I don't know where your package is then they might be able to find them in a timely manner. Half the time packages are labeled for the wrong box by the post office staff or just thrown about. This is a huge disorganized mess. They never acknowledge you when you walk in until you have been standing and waiting long enough to get irritated and act as if they have no idea why you're frustrated.
