They didn't have the Oscars either but they called another PO only way to see if they did. Without me even asking, they just offered. Great customer service gets them the 5th star! Parking out front. read more

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that Zack not only does fantastic work, but he offers free pick up and delivery of customers bikes within a specified area. He had my bike at my house by 6:30pm the next day as quoted. I barely recognized my cruiser, it looked brand new, how refreshing was that? I've waited over a week for tune ups at the larger competition in town and it came home just as dirty as when it went in. Some larger bike shops make you feel like you're inconveniencing them bringing a beach cruiser into their shop. Zack was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. I went to upgrade my license to EDL (which is already a REAL id) and remove a glasses restriction…read morebecause I had cataract surgery. The website https://dmv.vermont.gov/licenses/identity-documents says what to bring. https://dmv.vermont.gov/licenses/identity-documents/vermont-residency is specific to residency and that is what took me over an hour to satisfy. What did not count as proof of residency: my VT driver's license, the letter I received by mail from the VT DMV approving the eye exam form sent in by my optometrist (dated April 2025), my 2024 Social Security 1099, the 2024 1099-G VT sent me last year. They would have accepted a recent utility bill that was printed and mailed and dated within the last 4 months (if it had been in my name not in my husband's), my property tax bill (if it was in my name not in trust), tax forms dated within the last 4 months (it's November!). I finally downloaded a credit card bill and my last homeowners insurance bill which was annual but luckily dated only last month and emailed them to the person so they could print them. They then asked me where I got my social security card from (sadly my mother is no longer with us so I can't ask her - I think it came by mail from the central office in Philly), all of the names I have ever had on an official ID (they were looking for a middle initial I think - I am 74 so it goes back a ways - there is one on my birth certificate but I haven't used it for at least a half century). I had an appointment and a folder of documentation based on the website but it still took over an hour.

Finally the day of reckoning came and I had to apply for a replacement. I filled out the form online beforehand, (THIS IS KEY FOR ANY BUREAUCRATIC ENCOUNTER) came in the morning, interfaced with the touchscreen terminal to get my number, and waited. The waiting room was about half full, but mine was the next number to come up. I guess the others weren't getting replacement cards. I went to the window, presented my papers, answered a few simple questions, thanked the lady, and headed out. Fifteen minutes all told. But seriously, thank a bureaucrat today. They have feelings and they don't get treated particularly well. If they improve the external signage, I'll come back and give the place five stars. I wish I lived in this town, this quaint little laundry wash is needing someone to help keep it clean. Upsetting, late at night the townsfolk would disrespect their local business like this. I enjoyed the quiet stream flowing by, outside my apartment window, and the recreational opportunities it provided such as kayaking out to Lake Champlain and fishing or swimming if you dared. Okay I will admit occasionally, it got a little smelly...I think there were some sewage issues - but I always found it pretty. Winooski has been growing and changing. I will say that I like the changes and only some of them have scared me. I love the Blue Star Cafe for their fabulous coffee. I've enjoyed many evenings at at the Monkey Bar and have found memories of meeting the recent love of my life there. Sneakers has a place in my heart for breakfast, as long as you get there before the crowds. I'm glad they added the rotary because it helps with traffic, but it was pretty scary for the first several weeks, while people learned how to drive in it. I'm a little nostalgic at the moment, and missing this funny little one square mile town with weird laws and low speed limits. It was nice place to call home for a bit.
