Right on the road. Smaller P.O. Looks like a place locals come as they have active P.O. boxes. Limited but available parking. Limited selection of stamps available, as with many smaller offices. Post office box outside. read more

I called to have my chimney swept and after Brian inspected the flue he assured me a full sweep was not necessary as everything was clean as a whistle - he even showed me the live video as he inspected. RVG Electrical Services
Rick and his crew are top notch. I've had several projects done by them, and I have always been…read moreimpressed with their work. RVG quotes are fair and accurate, usually coming in even under the estimated amount. The first project was to get a variety of small things done, troubleshoot solar/PowerWall/UPS issues, and install a new meter box, because water and repetitive pulling had damaged it. Rick took care of arranging for the utility to assist with a disconnect, ran a new line from the eve, replaced the meter box, ran some new circuits, and determined why they PowerWall was tripping the UPSs. Later, during the pandemic, an RVG installer came by, with COVID19 precautions, and installed some new light switches, and a ceiling fan for me. Rick also did troubleshooting on a radiant floor heating system. Most recently, the team was back again, installing a new circuit for an EV Level 2 charger, hardwired that, and installed a dedicated circuit for my electric wood splitter. They gutted the existing lighting in the garage, and replaced the hodge podge of fixtures with bright, efficient, LED shop lights. I sleep better knowing RVG Electrical has properly done the wiring and that it was all done right.

The website https://dmv.vermont.gov/licenses/identity-documents says what to bring. https://dmv.vermont.gov/licenses/identity-documents/vermont-residency is specific to residency and that is what took me over an hour to satisfy. What did not count as proof of residency: my VT driver's license, the letter I received by mail from the VT DMV approving the eye exam form sent in by my optometrist (dated April 2025), my 2024 Social Security 1099, the 2024 1099-G VT sent me last year. They would have accepted a recent utility bill that was printed and mailed and dated within the last 4 months (if it had been in my name not in my husband's), my property tax bill (if it was in my name not in trust), tax forms dated within the last 4 months (it's November!). I finally downloaded a credit card bill and my last homeowners insurance bill which was annual but luckily dated only last month and emailed them to the person so they could print them. They then asked me where I got my social security card from (sadly my mother is no longer with us so I can't ask her - I think it came by mail from the central office in Philly), all of the names I have ever had on an official ID (they were looking for a middle initial I think - I am 74 so it goes back a ways - there is one on my birth certificate but I haven't used it for at least a half century). I had an appointment and a folder of documentation based on the website but it still took over an hour.

Finally the day of reckoning came and I had to apply for a replacement. I filled out the form online beforehand, (THIS IS KEY FOR ANY BUREAUCRATIC ENCOUNTER) came in the morning, interfaced with the touchscreen terminal to get my number, and waited. The waiting room was about half full, but mine was the next number to come up. I guess the others weren't getting replacement cards. I went to the window, presented my papers, answered a few simple questions, thanked the lady, and headed out. Fifteen minutes all told. But seriously, thank a bureaucrat today. They have feelings and they don't get treated particularly well. If they improve the external signage, I'll come back and give the place five stars. Very hard to find, the instructions on Social Security website were good but not intuitive. The building is a real warren.
