Well some places on private roads still don't have USPS service...and I was staying at one. What to do? Call the local USPS office and ask if they can hold the package there for you to pick up. No worries. Called in, showed up the next morning (had to wait until it came back on the truck) and picked up my package. Excellent phone and in person service! Parking was easy in their decent size parking lot.

I am writing this review after months of repeated issues with this post office that have resulted…read morein the death of live animals due to staff negligence and refusal to follow clearly marked handling instructions. I would give negative stars if I could. We routinely receive live animal shipments, clearly labeled as such and marked HOLD FOR PICKUP. Despite this, on at least seven separate occasions, packages addressed to our home have been sent out for delivery anyway, left exposed to extreme winter and summer temperatures, and the animals inside arrived dead. This happened repeatedly, even after we followed USPS instructions precisely. To prevent further loss of life, we began addressing our shipments directly to the post office for pickup, which successfully worked once. The animals were held inside and collected alive. However, during our most recent visit, we were informed--without any prior notice--that as of the new year, packages may no longer be addressed to the post office. We were told this change had been "made known to everyone," though we were never informed by any means. Despite this, when we arrived at the post office, staff confirmed that our live animal package was physically in the building. At that point, a clerk refused to retrieve the package, stating she was "too busy" because there was a line out the door and she was working alone. The package was confirmed to be on-site, yet staff would not get it. This was not due to policy, safety, or impossibility -- it was a refusal to perform the task. This is unacceptable. Staffing issues are not the customer's responsibility, and refusing to retrieve a live shipment that is already in the building--after months of documented handling failures--is profoundly unprofessional. The attitude displayed was dismissive, rude, and indifferent to the consequences of their actions. To be clear: * These packages were clearly labeled as LIVE ANIMALS * They were marked HOLD FOR PICKUP * USPS errors have repeatedly resulted in animal deaths * Staff acknowledged the package was present but refused to retrieve it This is not an isolated incident. It is a pattern of negligence, poor communication, and unwillingness to take responsibility. I strongly caution anyone receiving time-sensitive, temperature-sensitive, or live shipments to reconsider using this location. Accountability and basic professionalism are not optional when lives--animal or otherwise--are involved.

I haven't received mail for 17 days. I've called them and complained a few times, finally they said…read morethe mailman said the mailbox was damaged, what's funny is my tenant used the same mailbox and gets mail almost everyday. They're trying to cover up and think I'll let it go. No!! Two years ago I lost $200 worth of gift cards near Christmas time, they told me back then a couple of mailmen got fired for taking mail. I just got hold of my lawyer who won't just make sure my mailman is terminated, he's gonna go after the post office. I have a new bank card coming, I haven't received end of the months bills or my disability check. They're horrible.

Paris and I literally just left the post office. Neither my roommate nor I realized the check I wrote for rent was still hanging from a magnet on our fridge.. So upon seeing it at 10 to 5 I yelped (haha not intended play of words) and scurried into shoes, leashed the pup, grabbed a buck and the check and managed somehow- even with a puppy pee break to make the quarter block away- caddy corner post office with two minutes to spare. (Although sadly we had to ignore a gorgeous golden retriever)... With two people there ahead of me I honestly expected no reaction or a grimace even but no a totally friendly hello I'll be right with you. We even determined when I went to purchase a few stamped envelopes that the Portland POBOX I wanted was right there in his store AND he put the envelope In the box right away since I had already insisted I buy the stamps. Lol. For 50 cents or less that was soooooo worth it. And wow what customer service. I also noted he was wearing a sheriff badge but I believe it was costume? Best post office experience ever. And in and out in ten minutes!!
