The UPS Store

This review is based only on my experience with their public notary service…read more I had a document that has to be notarized. Unfortunately, the free notary service at my banks only notarize bank related documents. After calling around I found that both AAA and The UPS Store offer public notary services for $5 per "stamp". I chose the latter because 1) no appointment would be required, 2) its location is more convenient for me to piggyback with other errands. The staff were all wearing masks; however, there's no hand sanitizers anywhere. After a short wait I was quickly served. Nothing wrong with this but I was a bit surprised to learn that the cashier herself is the public notary. Everything went through as expected until when she rang me up. "That'll be $9," she said. I was confused. I asked if it was because it was a deed so it cost more. She said there were the $2 clerical fee and the $2 witness fee. Talk about hidden fees! Needless to say, I wasn't happy. $2 clerical fee for ringing up, and $2 for another cashier's autograph?! I called and confirmed: AAA on Trindle Road costs $5, period, no gimmicks, no hidden charges like this one. The only drawback is you would have to make an appointment. With the bad aftertaste, I won't be back -- unless I'm in a hurry.

Recently, I had a package not get to where it should be. They have done everything for me...I don't know if I will get the insurance money back or not? It does not really matter, what does matter is that they have done everything they can, without me asking. In these times, people need to appreciate more of what people do, instead of what you think they should do, or don't do! A happy customer....

Provided EXTREMELY CLEAR instructions at time of purchase about delivery to a military installation( types of ID needed, being able to pass a background check). Fast forward two weeks- XPO unable to deliver- shipping manager did not communicate extremely clear instructions about delivery to a military base. Shipping Manager ignored calls and messages for hours post delivery attempt. Literally wasted a day of leave for nothing. Shipping manager *promises* that this will be rectified- said something about sending us a gift card for our troubles. Reschedules delivery. Fast forward ONE MORE WEEK- with a clear reminder of what is needed to gain access to a military installation. Guess what? One of the delivery team had no ID at all. Team could not gain access to deliver because the shipping manager did not communicate ONCE AGAIN, what the minimum requirements were to gain entry to deliver on a military installation. So now, I have requested a refund from Lowes, I STILL don't have a washer/dryer, the gift card never arrived. Bottom line- if you are military and live on a military installation, do not rely on Lowes or /XPO to fulfill any appliance needs you have. *I am fully aware that XPO happens to deliver over 10 tractor trailers almost daily to this base for parts. There are drivers at that warehouse that can get on to military bases, they just don't fulfill household appliance orders.

I find it difficult to find good quality, gently used men's items at any thrift store BUT I lucked out this trip! I contribute my finds to the excellent organizing of the store. I could easily bypass items I knew just were not what I was looking for AND I found a couple bargains I didn't know I wanted. The friendly sales girl & happy holidays wish at the end of my trip wrapped the experience up like a pretty package.

The one near South Riding in Virginia and this one, each employee looks in the eye speaks to you doesn't look like they are at work with a hangover or at a funeral I mean I can't get over this store. Even when returning a car one walked out halfway through the entrance and parking lot too take the card from you and thank me. You don't get that anywhere else and I've been to probably 50 different Goodwills, yeah don't judge me. This particular store has a small selection but it's pretty clean in there I guess there aren't 75 little Rugrats running around screaming and messing with the toys or something. Parking is Apple in a huge parking lot if you drive too fast pass it you will miss it. This was for my last visit ever in Pennsylvania July 3 2024.
