Rarely, if ever, can you call and talk with someone - and I used the 6 numbers that I had! The phone continually rings or says the mailbox is full. Through 'Informed Delivery", I saw that a letter from my doctor's office came, and although it had a 74 cent postal stamp on it, it was never forwarded to my winter address. I wanted to ask why that happened. Who picks and chooses what pieces of mail go through? Service has been terrible for the last 2 years! read more

USPS is a joke. When I got here there is 20 people in-line and one person working. 4 windows and only one person. Super slow and the counter person doesn't really care people are standing around for 25 min. FedEx, UPS anything else but this. read more

I have had an Issue with a missing Priority Express Envelope going to California. I dropped it off at the Binghamton Office on Henry St. at 2:35 pm on December 12th. On the 13th of December at 10:37 pm it was checked into the Distribution Center in Rochester NY. That's where my tracking information Stops. This parcel was supposed to be delivered on the 15th in California. After the 15th came and went and the package wasn't delivered and there was no change in the tracking info, I started making phone calls to try and find out where it was and why it hadn't been delivered and also the reason why there had been no change in tracking. I was directed to a contact name and number in the Rochester distribution center that supposedly could help me find the answers. To this day January 29th I have left 17 voicemails on this persons number and still haven't received a return call. I have to the Binghamton office 2 times and have spoken with the same supervisor on both occasions. The 1st time was to enlist the help in filing a claim online in which they were very helpful. The 2nd time it was to inquire as to why I was told by 2 other postal employees that the tracking information they were seeing was that my parcel had left the distribution center in Rochester and was on it's way to California. I also received a phone call from a person claiming to be a postal employee from the post office where it was supposed to be delivered who also told me it had left Rochester on the 15th, but they had not received it therein California. The person in the Binghamton office told me that they would contact the person in Rochester via interdepartmental email and would get back to me if possible by close of business that day, if not definitely by close of business the next day. Needless to say again I haven't gotten that phone call from them. And no one can explain to me how they can see tracking information saying it was departing Rochester on the 15th and was scanned and I can't see it. It doesn't make sense to me, I should, We all should be able to see the same information that they claim to see when it comes to our Packages. So now I will make another trip to the PO and talk to that persons supervisor and see where that gets me, If necessary I will go as high as the Post Master for Binghamton who's office is in the Main PO on Henry St. Someone is going to come up with answers to my questions and why people in positions where they should be held accountable for their actions due to negligence aren't held to the standard they should be. If I have to I will go to the Post Master General. Bottom line our postal service just plain sucks ass !!! read more

One star is generous. We have had 2 bank statements, a social security statement and a check NOT DELIVERED in the past weeks. Someone is either misdirecting our mail to "bad people", stealing it, or sending it to other houses. No one at USPS cares. The postmaster has a mailbox that has been full for 8 weeks. Seriously - who would retain employment is their mailbox was full for 8 weeks????? This is horrible and frightening. These are IMPORTANT ITEMS that we do not want in the wrong hands. But NO ONE CARES. We put in requests for assistance, we get an AI notification that we will be contacted within 2 days and no one contacts us. The taxes paid to keep the post office in business should be terminated. We are getting NOTHING from the USPS. read more

Not sure why this says closed when they should be open for business, but I'll still throw my two cents into the pot even though I already sent two written complaints. After two years of nothing but professionalism at this location, it all ended after my mail forward request - completed with the assistance of a USPS employee at the retail counter - somehow changed into a "return to sender" request, preventing anything to get to me, even after the six weeks the USPS employee said I'd have to wait for my mail forwarding request to go into effect*. A la peanut butter sandwiches! But guess who confirmed the hocus pocus? The SUNY Binghamton office that mails degrees. When my son emailed them asking where his was, they gave him the news. And all this was after I'd already put in a complaint to USPS about how I hadn't been getting anything (and even had to request one sender I was expecting something from to resend me their mail) to which Erin Lacotta replied confirming that everything was hunky-dory on their end since they hadn't received anything to forward to me. So upsetting. And to think I was this close to sending a goodbye yelp to these guys before pulling out of Binghamton. They'd done so much more for me and my son than the taxi company I yelped; and they went above and beyond for us during our two winters in Binghamton and after COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. For some reason I decided not to post anything in their favor. I live on Moffatt Ave and there constantly putting my mail in the wrong boxes I've lost very important documents because of this. I've called and filed several reports about it and nothing gets done they told me my street is used for training purposes. If you try calling there there's no point because no one ever answers. And I noticed I've seen reviews that say it's understaffed but when I've been there there was plenty of workers at least 15 but yet they can't answer their phone. read more

At 115 Henry St. This post office manages package deliveries poorly. This has been my experience for a while. If your package says "combustible material handle with care" they'll drop a pallet on it. Or if your package says "fragile, handle with Care" they'll just drop it. read more

I have NEVER had an USPS with a phone that does not get answered and says its mailbox is full until this one. Twice, the claim was made that a package delivery attempt was made, giving the time of attempt. I was at home in the residence and nobody knocked or tried in any way to deliver. Our mailman retired a couple months ago and he still hasn't gotten replaced. We have a different mailman every day if we get mail at all. Several times a week they completely skip our neighborhood. We wont get our mail then when we do get things they are late. I've had several packages for my business that were supposed to be delivered and they'll put it off for several days before they get it out for delivery. It will say "OUT FOR DELIVERY " but it doesn't come because we have no mailman. This is by far the worst post office I have ever come across. Waiting on a christmas card from Long Island which doesn't take but a day or two. Then there are days where I dont get my mail because the sub guy won't walk in the middle drive to drop my mail off. This post office is the worst. delivery driver as broken 2 of my mailbox flags by hanging heavy packages from The flag because they're too lazy to walk to my door. I tracked a delivery which was marked delivery location blocked at 7pm. Either the mail carrier was drunk or lied as we live right on the road front with a wide open driveway to the front door. No delivery attempt was made. No delivery ticket left. No one knocked, rang the doorbell or made any other attempt to signal they were attempting to make a delivery. I tried to call the post office that has an answering service that isn't accepting new messages. What kind of service is this? It's no wonder you are obsolete. ALWAYS under staffed. The employees are wonderful but this is the most understaffed post office that I have ever visited. I ordered a book from Barnes and Noble in Elmira because I hate the vestal store, the shipped immediately. Tracking shows that my book is at the binghamton post office and arrived there on june 9th.I have tried to be patient but it is now june17th and still no book. I have called and called and called to no avail. Pathetic to say the least. Poor service. Published phone number is a waste of time. It directs you in a never ending loop. No one answers . Visit in person and no one wants to be held accountable for their actions. They have talked about eliminating service 2 days a week, I would recommend closing it 5 days a week based upon their inability to meet minimal performance standards. read more
