Very bad experience with trying to get my passport processed…read more Tried to schedule online and found an appointment several days in the future, on Saturday morning, and took it for both passport and photo. I arrived 10 minutes early for the appointment to find the place apparently closed. The lobby door was open, voices were coming from behind the door to the left, but the lights were off and door locked to the passport office. The door to the office was decorated with a variety of contradictory signs, which if you put them together would indicate that they take more lunches than a hobbit. Also, apparently they do not take passport photos even if they accept appointments for that service. Also, apparently they do not actually come in to provide services even after accepting appointments for this. While I was waiting and trying to figure out if I had made a mistake two other families came in, all with an appointment at the same location for passport services. We all stared at the darkened door. One couple knocked, resulting in the voices behind the closed door going quiet but no other response. If the facility is closed on Saturday (which is not the case from their posted times) then they should not accept appointments for that day. If something came up and the staff could not make it, why did they not call or text us?

A little over an hour later I got another notification that it has been marked "returned to sender". I don't live in a gated community, there's no code required to enter anything, and my house is 20 years old so it's not like I'm in a new subdivision or anything. I got off work at 4 PM and went straight to the post office to see what happened. The lady at the desk had me write down my tracking number so she can see which carrier it's on. She informed me it hasn't arrived back at the post office yet, but they should be returning around 5 PM so she'll give me a call when they're back to come pick it up. At 5 PM I get a call from a woman named Patricia Armstrong. She said my package has arrived back at the post office and if I wanted to come pick it up from there then I have to pay a $16 fee. That's double what I paid for shipping originally. So I asked her why my package could not be delivered, and why is there an additional fee for having to use my own gas and vehicle to pick up a package that I already paid for shipping on? I was given no reasoning for their failure to deliver my package, and she said that's the redirection fee if I want to pick it up myself, otherwise they will return it back to sender and I can replace my order and have the new one redelivered. I'm still confused why my order wasn't delivered. I have double checked my address and everything on the order invoice and everything was correct.

The staff seems completely incompetent and no one knows what's going on. This is a convenient location, but it is always very understaffed. On the past several visits,…read morethere has been trash everywhere inside the building that starts flowing out to the parking lot. There is always a long line of people and, every time i have gone, only one person working. If you have to label a package or get taping supplies or boxing supplies, you look like you are cutting the line and some of the people actually get angry thinking you're doing just that. The room is extremely small, so while you're trying to do the label, you're up against a bunch of other people. On my last visit, I just needed to drop a package in the mail - it was also stamped and labeled. There is no express package drop in the building. I would have had to wait behind 13 people to drop it off. Needless to say, i walked out and just mailed it the next week when I went to another location.

I have always loved the staff here because they have been overly helpful and there was never a super long line. Your postal needs can be taken care of here and they are equipped with the supplies you may need for your shipping needs, too.

There have been many times I have come in there in a hurry to get a package out. If I needed a bit of tape or needed some extra help to get a package out, they were always so courteous. There was only one time that they screwed up a bit with a money order. Unfortunately, the amount of the money order did not print on the money order! So, I was unable to give it to the recipient without that amount on there. Luckily I had the receipt, but it would have been better if I had brought it in that same day to get the problem fixed. Of course the whole situation would have been easier if I brought it to their attention immediately. Oh well, thankfully they were able to fix it! I was outta there within about 10 minutes with a new money order in hand I was on my way. Even though this is a small town post office, the employees there have big hearts and are super friendly.
