Best library in Louisiana!! I have been here a few times. It's a wonderful place to study with WiFi, outlets, printers, clean bathrooms and easy parking available. If you want an undistracted place to study, go to the second floor! They have a big quiet area with tables, reading lamps and comfy chairs. However The first floor is home to DVDs and CDs. The children's area is big and colorful. The teens area is also on the first floor. (It's not really quiet on the first floor) They use Libby app so you can access online resources including audiobooks and movies. It's fantastic. Very helpful staff!

I grew up going to the main public library branch on Goodwood. This library is amazing! As you drive in to park, The modern landscape leads you towards the modern glass and steel building. Props to BatonRouge for bringing in some modern architecture! It's not only cool on the outside but it's cool on the inside too! The outdoor Area as you're walking towards the entrance of the building has tables and chairs set around for people to leisurely read and soak up the sun. There's a water feature. A small grassy area that could be used for theater. As you walk in to your left is where you would check out or return your books. Now in this modern age you can get online to renew your books, no more going to the library to renew them! They have a room for Justines only. Video audio a plethora of computers to use. I could get lost in this place just getting distracted in the stacks

This is one of the most beautiful library facilities I have ever seen here in Baton Rouge. It's massive, spacious, contemporary and filled with many resources waiting to fill the minds of all ages. I am diggin' all the modern touches of this library and all of the cool programs they offer there, too. Remember going to those libraries in the past where they were dark and dingy and you were pretty much urged to keep quiet all that time? I'm not saying that it's okay to be loud and obnoxious there, but it's just nice that there are areas, where you can socialize. It's always quite lovely that that it's bright inside with so much natural light entering in. The courtyard is incredibly beautiful, too. It's a nice place to enjoy a good book on a cool, crisp morning or afternoon. So, if you are looking for a library that isn't boring and old, head on down here and enjoy so much of what they offer inside and outside. It was nice to see that the outdoor courtyard opened up to the BREC botanical gardens, too. Great job on this library, Baton Rouge! I'll be coming here more often.

EBR parish's beautiful and large main library on Goodwood.

Wow, the new updated main library is she's a beauty! There are so many events hosted here! There seems to always be a group to join of some sorts, a class to take to being up on your skills, or a story-time going on for little eager ears to enjoy. This library is truly an enjoyable experience and makes you want to visit it in all its majestic glory.

Most recently, I came here for a meeting, and we used the back room. This was a great space for a meeting. It was a medium sized room, but there were tons of chairs and even a spot of food to be. I really liked how you had to walk through the library to get to it... it felt like you were apart of the library instead of feeling isolated off to the side. Another I love about this library is the safety and convince. At the doors there are security like pillars and you can even drop off your books at the slot outside. This location is very convenient for me because I live close to the area. I like how it isn't too big, like the main location, but it is easier to locate what exactly you are looking for. Love this library!

Now with the age of the Internet, I have to be honest, it is not often I visit a library. So, again it was nostalgic experience. This library is huge and I love their kids section! Yes, we will be visiting more often. I like the thought of "renting" books because it's nice to not to have to always buy them. My daughter was so excited to see so many books and it was funny to hear her say "can we buy this book"? Throughout the year, they have live performances - dances, plays, storytimes, etc. For adults, there are quiet places to read and mellow out. Will I be visiting the library more now? Of course, I will, now that I'll be living a bit closer to one.

Your guidance has made a significant and positive difference in my academic journey here at Louisiana State University, for my degree in Disaster Science and Emergency Management. I especially appreciate how you always went above and beyond with follow-ups, whether through calls or emails, to ensure that every situation I brought to your attention was resolved. It gave me immense peace of mind knowing that I could rely on you to see things through to the end. Your regular calls and emails were more than just helpful reminders; they were a source of encouragement and genuine care. The way you approached every issue--from registration hurdles to resource inquiries--showed a deep commitment to my success and well-being as a student. Thank you, Adriane, for being such a wonderful advisor.

Obviously, don't park where you're not supposed to no matter what day of the week it is. This campus is very old. I believe it was founded in the 1890s. There are so many different buildings and the campus has a huge sporting event center. They also have a small area where people are popping out to take a look at Mike the Tiger, their mascot. My co-ed service fraternity has an active chapter here at this school. That is one of the reasons that we decided to drive through the campus. None of the buildings were open or anything, but it was nice to see the grounds. Unfortunately we couldn't find anybody who was able to give us any information about this university or the different buildings but again, just the grounds were pretty. I can only imagine what it is like when they have sporting events and everyone comes out to support their Louisiana State University Tigers. If I am not mistaken, I believe I heard that Angel Reese, a WNBA player, graduated from the school. That's a fun little tidbit of information.
