Most recently, I came here for a meeting, and we used the back room. This was a great space for a meeting. It was a medium sized room, but there were tons of chairs and even a spot of food to be. I really liked how you had to walk through the library to get to it... it felt like you were apart of the library instead of feeling isolated off to the side. Another I love about this library is the safety and convince. At the doors there are security like pillars and you can even drop off your books at the slot outside. This location is very convenient for me because I live close to the area. I like how it isn't too big, like the main location, but it is easier to locate what exactly you are looking for. Now with the age of the Internet, I have to be honest, it is not often I visit a library. So, again it was nostalgic experience. This library is huge and I love their kids section! Yes, we will be visiting more often. I like the thought of "renting" books because it's nice to not to have to always buy them. My daughter was so excited to see so many books and it was funny to hear her say "can we buy this book"? Throughout the year, they have live performances - dances, plays, storytimes, etc. For adults, there are quiet places to read and mellow out. Will I be visiting the library more now? Of course, I will, now that I'll be living a bit closer to one.

They have makerspaces here at this branch, sewing/embroidery , etching, and so many other things. I love to garden and I saw they even have seed swaps and classes from guest speakers. If you are looking or community the library and EBRPL system as a whole does a really good job at connecting others. It feels "old school" but def a cool space. Also the building is very nice and modern, so its totally a win win.

Today I applied for what is known as the reciprocal library card. Meaning that even though I live in Ascension Parish I can still have a Baton Rouge library card. We love that option for our family. They have several different activities at each location and the Jones Creek one in particular has many convenient story times for both my two-year-old and six-year-old. The library is very warm and inviting, usually hosting an art display from local quilters or pottery. They offer printing services both from your phone and your own computer. The children's area is easily accessible and the staff in that area are particularly patient with the excitement of the kids - and the loud noises that me sometimes bring! The restrooms are clean and changing tables are available which I always appreciate. What the average hours from 9 AM to 6 PM this library accommodates most.
