So...after my issues at the Glenridge office, where did I end up? Answer: not this post office first...I went to the one on Pharr Road since it was my favorite, but their electronic payments system had killed itself and I didn't have any cash on me. So I sucked it up and headed all the way back here, hoping maybe I could just use the automated machine. ...NOBODY was in line somehow, so I walked right up to the counter and was greeted by the nicest postal service employee I've ever encountered. At this point I was seriously suffering from post office burnout, so she asked me how I was and figured I looked exhausted. I'm at my third post office of the day, so yes, that would work. She listened to me tell my horror stories of the day and said to be sure to come back to this one anytime because they are nice. I mean I was feeling bad when we were still talking despite finishing all transactions and there was someone waiting. But she was so nice, I couldn't believe this was someone employed at the same office where I had employees snap at me at least twice for trying to find what the hell happened to a package. It's not exactly convenient, but considering the rest of my day, if I have anything I HAVE to mail at a counter, I will make the drive back here. I don't even care. read more

This location will hold your check until the price increase goes into effect for your box renewal. They do that every year!!! Pathetic. Stood at the service door for 15 min, trying to speak to supervisor about delivery issue. Rang and rand doorbell. Finally a smart-mouth young lady strolls up (after 15 min) and informs me that I'm not responding to her greeting. I told her I wanted to speak to supervisor. After aanother smart-mouth lecture on patience, she slams the door in my face and ambles off. After another ten minutes, the desk clerk to whom I had originally spoken goes off to find supervisor, only to find "that she is not in". What a pit. read more

The TSA pre check line on Thanksgiving moves quicker than these people. Always a line, always understaffed, always someone In line complaining about not receiving a package or them losing a package that should have been delivered. If I could leave a minus score, I would. In living in this postal code for 14+ years, I can honestly say that this is the worst post office in all the codes in which I have lived. My mail has been lost among other things. Service is deplorable, and there is no accountability. Employees are rude and don't have any concept of customer service. Today, I got an electronic notice that I was getting a package and that they left a notice in my box - NOT. So, now I have no delivery instructions. Several times recently, I was expecting two-day Amazon Prime packages. Had to go to the post office and pick them up on day four. I could go on, but you get the idea. Like most post offices or government run offices, this place is an embarrassment. This is where souls go to die. Also convinced this is one of the layers of hell. There is constantly a line out the door, with one worker working as slow as possible or being as rude as possible to people. I know this isn't the customer service mecca, but there should be a small base line of decency when speaking to other humans. The US post office is terrible when it comes to long ass lines and customer service. They always seem short handed. The only reason I go to this one is because their PO boxes are very inexpensive when compared to other places with the same service. So disappointed. As a manager of a hotel, my belief is the employees are a reflection of the manager. I had two negative experiences. Certified mail should have high priority. A check sent sat in this post office without notification to me. I had to pay 100.00 for a late fee which they cared nothing about. Now a second incident tells me these employees do not care. They have a non caring attitude and talk to the customer with a threatening demeanor. They need someone to come in and retrain or replace these employees. If you read this, do *not* go to this post office. Service is abominable. The employees are not helpful and make everything difficult. It's like being at a DMV. The workers do not listen and they move very slowly. They do not care about their work or their customers or their jobs. Do yourself a huge favor: Go to the post office at 575 Pharr Rd NE. It's only a few miles away and it is far far better. The staff at the Pharr Rd post office actually work with you, unlike the Lindbergh post office. WORST post office ever. When you order something Priority 2-day mail, you will not receive it in 2 days. They may or may not leave a notice on your door about your package and they take their phone off the hook when you try to call about it. This is not the first time this has happened. Stick to UPS. I have lived in this postal zone for five years. I moved my residence on July 1. In mid-June I filled out the Request for Address Change, entering the new forwarding address in Sandy Springs. Since my move, I've received only an occasional forwarded letter. For five weeks I received none of my regular magazine subscriptions, e.g., TIME, Fortune, etc. A Check that was mailed from Nashville on July 26th still has not arrived (today is Aug. 13th). When I spoke with the mail deliverer, he explained that it was out of his hands, since the labeling process for the change of address goes to a third party. He did not have any contact information about this third party. I've moved previously, and, honestly, I've never experienced this level of inadequate mail forwarding service. As for the friendliness of the postal employees at this post office, I agree with those who have commended them on their friendliness. However, the long lines, with usually one or two employees handling the long lines . . . well, I guess that's to be expected, now that the USPO is going through difficult financial times, with the possibility of going extinct - or going "privatized." read more

First, please notice the 5-Star rating at the very top is from 2013. Today I was there to send a package because I did not have the proper size box. Almost no supplies in the self service area and NO ONE - get that, NO ONE at the counter for 30 minutes. I am sure someone eventually strolled in with a surly look on their face and offering no acknowledgement of their absence, but I left before that insult. Moved from one part of the city of Atlanta to this zip code. They won't deliver Amazon packages if they decide they are too heavy. A product I received monthly in the 30317 area code is "too heavy" at this post office. The point of Amazon is home delivery and I am sure USPS generates a lot of revenue from Amazon. I no longer use Amazon because what's the point if you have to drive to the post office and wait in long lines for your packages. read more

This post office is by far the worst one I've ever had to suffer through. They lost a package and I have the tracking number for it and everything. I've tried calling, literally, on the hour, every hour, for 4 days now. If I even get someone to answer my phone, they are extremely rude for NO reason. I've been nothing but polite and appreciative (the old adage of "you get more with sugar than vinegar") but I've only been treated terribly in response. Multiple times I've been hung up on, left on hold for over 30 minutes, left my name and # to be called back with no response, and just general maltreatment. I was out if town for 15 days and my mailbox said that there are new residents and no mail. This is a second occurrence in less than 24 months. The P.O. knew who did it as they discussed amongst themselves.After waiting for 15 mins the lady comes out clueless, there is no mail were we supposed to hold on to it ?? i explained the situation and she wasn't sure. I requested to speak with a supervisor, after 5 mins lady came back and said that the supervisor was busy with the mail and that i would have to wait another 15 - 20 mins before she could see me. This was at 9:30 am and n lines. This place is horrible and when i asked her she refused to give me her supervisors name, here is her excuse i don't know her name... Absolute worse experience. I'm normally patient and understanding however my experience is unacceptable. Two months ago I moved into a complex and apparently the person who lived here prior to me decided to take the mail box keys. I had to request a replacement key from the postal service and I paid the $28 fee. I was told give it a week (it normally takes 2-3 days but since Columbus Day was so close it might take a little longer). Going on two months later I still don't have a key! I've called numerous times. Arthur seems like a nice guy but is a liar...often promising the key would be ready the next day and when that day came still no key. Renae is rude and nasty and doesn't care at all...thats what she told me. I also asked for them to start holding my mail since I don't have access to my box. That also hasn't happened yet. Luckily I ran into the delivery driver one day and he was nice enough to give me almost a months worth a mail that was sitting there. Most junk but some important stuff like 2 checks and 2 vehicle registrations and a new drivers license. It's just a huge inconvenience and I think I'm more bothered by everyone involved lack of professionalism and care/customer service. Also consumer affairs is no help either. If the locksmith is behind hire another!!! I'm not sure what else to do at this point I wish we as consumers didn't have to depend on the postal service but I guess why that's why they don't care because we're at their mercy read more
