Legitimately the worst post office ever. They have four counters and only ever one person manning them. Just went this morning and there was a gigantic line but zero employees behind the counter. If you plan on going or have to go to this post office be prepared to at least have 2 hours drained from your day. Doesn't matter what time. read more

This post office needs new management!! Delivery service is terrible. I went Saturday to pick up package that should have been delivered to my door and it was closed with no explanation. I waited 50 minutes to pick up a package. As usual for this place, only one person was behind the counter, and a dozen or more people were in line. When I told the worker that this USPS branch should be shut down, she replied, "Good, go get your mail from another post office." I told her I can't get my mail from another post office and to get her shit together. I got applause from a few people. I'm almost 70, and I've been to many post offices. I'm sure many who live in range of this post office can say with me,they are not an efficient one.You can't call,they never pick up.You can't get change of address cards(not all family have same last names),you can't get keys in timely manner to your box,(been almost 1 month no key yet)..Dejoy made the USPS the worst its ever been.We all know why he did it,but that doesn't change the fact alot of people aren't receiving mail,notices from agencies,or packages,prescriptions.Please US government check this place.Even temu had to change its packages cuz they weren't being delivered.The list goes on and on.Dont know why it's this way,but would be nice if it could be fixed. read more

I looked for a phone number so I could ask you about why we haven't received mail last Thursday and again on Monday 4.3.23. I know we have a substitute carrier today because we have excellent service when he is on. I looked for a phone number to request service but it was VERY HARD to find one. When I did find a number it rang, about 20 times, (I counted) and then went busy. so here sits our Business. What is also peculiar is that I saw the mail truck this morning about 10am (our usual delivery time) across the parking lot stop at that business and then turn around and not bother to come here. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is BY FAR the worst USPS location I've ever had to deal with...and that really says something. The military should really get to use the post office on base to deliver our mail considering the trouble we have to go through here. The three times I've been there (for pointless reasons), most of the line has been service members or their spouses reporting an issue. Went to get a key made for our mailbox (people move in and out of the houses on base constantly) and was told 2-6 weeks and they'd hold our mail. Apparently the key was done a week later, but we found out through our friends who got their key made after us, because they got a call and we didn't. Go down to the post office to pick up our mail...get told the ONLY thing they have from a week of us living there is a package that was delivered that day...unlikely, but they tell me that the mailman is likely just delivering it all to the mailbox. Okay whatever, put our names in the mailbox, it's been two weeks, we've gotten all of our packages and a piece or two of mail which is weird...but then today, TWO WEEKS after we take the hold off, one of my packages is updated to say it couldn't be delivered because "per customer request, mail is to be held at the post office". Negative, we took that hold off two weeks. Sure hope y'all get yourselves together before my passport is scheduled to be delivered or I won't send my husband down there (he's much more civil than I am, because I've been the one dealing with it all until now). Thanks a lot to this post office location for losing my social security card with me new married name, my marriage certificate, and my passport all in one blow all while being NO HELP in aiding me to get any of my important legal documents. I haven't had any problems here. Though it's not my favorite albuquerque post office because there are lots of messages posted saying "we will not give you tape!" or something to that extent. I have used this post office to mail packages and buy stamps. Can't comment on PO Boxes. read more

Waited in line with 15 people in line and only 1 clerk. Finally another clerk started helping people after a 45 minute wait. I only wanted 5 postage stamps. Finally after an hour he told me they only had the stamps that part went to a charity for 75 cents each. He told me that they didn't have the regular priced stamps. I will not be forced to donate to a charity if I don't choose too. Bad Bad Bad service and what a way to treat a customer. Shame on you. read more

Now, do tell, why the Postal Service has been shouldered with the obligation of funding their employee pension plans for the next 75 years. The next time you FedEx, ask 'em for the 49 cent deal. The only time I hate dealing with the Post Office is over the holidays. I came to this location recently and stood in line for, oh, maybe ten minutes. The employees were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, as usual. The place offered everything any proud American could ask for, every package and shipping option imaginable, and a huge array of PO boxes. Self-service postage machines, hourly mail box pickup, the facility was clean and ordered, streamlined, including my favorite aspect of this age-old industry: the "You're Next" agreement. Essentially, this ritual involves the unprepared consumer (me) approaching the desk with unprepared or unfinished shipping materials which require a little work before they're sent off. I was told, as usual, what I had to do, and was guaranteed the next spot in line when I finished my business. I love this unspoken rule. I really hate going to this post office and avoid it as much as possible. Every time I visit (which has been at least 8 times in the last two months) I have a negative experience. The last time I visited (4.6.18) I was very uncomfortable when one of the postal workers was grunting and sighing loudly. He was obviously having a rough day and he was making sure to let everyone know. During the transition a woman needed change for $100, he didn't have it and make a big deal about it. He then started complaining to the person who was helping me and kept grunting and sighing. The woman he was helping kept asking him to cancel the transaction because of the inconvenience. Either way, the mood at the place was tense. I will be driving a little further to visit a different post office or use a postal meter to mail my Etsy sales. read more

I filled out a change of address form. Some packages I received at my new address and some I did not. I contacted the companies I ordered from. (Aug/ Sept to Sept 13?) One company, (amazon) called the post office with me on the telephone. I still did not receive my packages. I went down to the post office and paid 40.00 to get my mail key and my packages. They would not give me my mail and my packages they were holding. I left poor service. read more

This location is convenient if you are downtown and need to purchase postage or get something mailed. It is not open all the time so you need to check the operating times. Staff can be good and other days same staff can give you bad service. read more

Worst service ever. The "supervisor" Placio Edwards came out and immediately accusing me saying "so you sent something valuable to the old address" and "you sent something to the wrong address". The fact is that I've moved and the mail forwarding has been working. To that, he replied with such condescending tone like I should know better that "YOU sent an express package to your OLD address. We don't forward express packages. We get dinged on that." Really? You treat your customers like that and you are a supervisor??? You accuse every customer with issues that it's customer's fault for not knowing their audit findings and policies? When "normal" customers come to do an address change, we expect all mails to be forwarded. Only after I repeatedly DEMANDED proof that it has been sent back and the record of when and where it's going back to, he said he'll give me info. He initially said "So do YOU have a proof that it was delivered to the old address?" What an asshole. I'm glad I no longer in your area of service. *Covid alert* I ordered all my Christmas gifts on Amazon during Black Friday. I've been receiving regular delivery of these, until one was shipped through USPS. Instead, I received a letter saying it would not fit in the mail box, and I could schedule a redelivery online for it to be left at my door. I did exactly that, and explained that I was unable to get to the post office due to my work schedule. I am a nurse, and we are in the middle of a pandemic, you can imagine my hours. Instead of a redelivery, I was left a note that said it was too heavy to carry, so I had to take take off of work to get my package. The counter clerk carried it out to me in one arm, but it was too heavy to be carried to my doorstep? I work directly with Covid patients, which means the staff at the post office were potentially exposed to Covid all because the mail carrier was too lazy to do the job he or she is being paid for. With the already decreased business USPS is experiencing, you would think they would be happy to deliver the mail that is sent through them. I have also written Amazon and urged them to stop using USPS for delivery of their packages, because this is not the first time it's happened. If I'm paying $119 a year for Amazon Prime, I feel they should use a carrier who actually wants to work and will deliver the packages. Instead, I lost time and money, my coworkers lost a nurse, and the post office workers at 111 Alvarado Dr SE Albuquerque, NM. were unnecessarily exposed to a deadly virus. read more

i have been going to this post office for decades. I live nearby. I go there to send packages, pick up packages and had a post office box there for 5 years. Years ago the lobby was small and cramped but the remodel expanded the lobby and it is much better. The wait in line is fine- sometimes short, sometimes long. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My experiences at this post office are similar to other post offices in town I have visited. read more

This location is one of the worst post offices EVER. The employees are rude & make each customer feel that they are a huge bother & inconvenience. A postal machine would be a huge help so I wouldn't have to deal with the dickheads that work here. The manager needs fired since they obviously don't give a rip about taking care of the customer & have made sure that attitude pervades the entire location. It is no wonder they are having financial problems when they treat their customers like garbage. They are notorious for locking up early & just walking away when there is a line going out the door. My wife visited this store today and was screamed at by an employee for placing a package in the wrong place. She was subsequently yelled at again for asking for a receipt. It appears that management has allowed this kind of behavior to become commonplace based on how quick to screaming and anger this employee was. Unacceptable.
