This review is specifically about Jamerica Fleming who works here not the location. She was more…read morethan helpful. Over the phone, not only was she well mannered but made sure the problem with my package got resolved. My opinion on this location and USPS is a different story. This location has very hard working individuals but unfortunately can tell are extremely understaffed and a result there is a service issue that comes to play with that. I've never had a single one of my calls answered except the call I made to Jamerica Fleming at this location. She left me a voice mail originally and then answered my call back instantly, she then got straight to helping me. She is a rockstar and I'm very grateful my issue got resolved by her of all people. God bless Jamerica Fleming for her service. And I hope this location receives the funding and staffing they need to operate correctly!

Go visit the very odd and bizarre couple who own and operate Westside Postal Express. Dan is always constipated, and Janice (Don't ever call her "Jan" -- She'll scold you and tell you how her wicked step mother called her by that name), who is old enough to be her husband's mother, calls him "Pops." These two have issues, but I can't pinpoint exactly what creates their extreme hostility towards their customers. Even before you walk into the toxic atmosphere of their little dirty cluttered post office, you'll be greeted by some hostile sign on the front door. Step inside and you'll hear the sarcastic voice, [disguised as pleasantness], from Dan. If you ask a question, the answer you'll receive from "Jan" or Dan will let you know how stupid you are. A sense of dread pours over me when there is something I have to go put in the mail. Unfortunately, Dan and Jan's Westside Postal Express is within walking distance of my home, and my time is so limited. So, I dreadfully get into my car and head their way, knowing that some sarcastic, underhanded passive-aggressive snarky comment will be hurled at me, or someone else in the line. Having known them and interacted with them for several decades, all I can say is that these two need some serious therapy. They should be operating a fitness club, where clients are scolded in order to push to new limits. Unfortunately, Dan and Jan are grossly out of shape, so they probably wouldn't get very many clients (Just like their toxic, crappy little post office.)

Why are they delivering for Amazon and then want you to pick up the item at their post office? Instead of being thankful that they have a job, these difficult employees have an attitude, persistent discourteous behavior and are just lazy.

The downtown post office has a few things going for it, but speedy service is never one of those…read morethings... Lots of post office boxes, decent parking out front for a quick in and out (not at lunch time though...) and its in a great 1963 mid-century building that has not been tragically renovated. In fact, the place is a bit of a time warp to those Kennedy years... The building apparently houses other Federal offices so every package has to go thru a metal detector run by a couple of very bored looking security guys. This office has a Passport Office, but you have to make an appointment and the hours are weird. Don't be surprised if you have to come back. As post offices go, this one is a tiny bit better than many, not that any of them are ever awesome.
