Woman at the service desk was really rude and made me feel like I was stupid when I was being very polite and just asking questions. I'm just trying to ship out a package :( And when I said thank you she just ignored me. read more

super nice place to ship great supplies for sale cee care at nw postal store very nice about presenting options

Don't bother calling. They will not, at any time of the day, answer the phone. It's really annoying when you need information and can't get it. read more

This particular branch of the United States Post Office is located in the shopping center with a Publix that's an anchor store. You would think that there would be plenty of parking, but the actual truth is quite the opposite. I don't know why but this is a very busy Shopping Center. Service is a bit indifference and again, parking is a bit of a chore. read more

Disgusted. Tried calling several times and let the phone ring long enough without it being answered to kill my phone battery. You people need to answer the damned phone to save customers trips across town to ask the question in person after waiting in line for far too long. DeJoy has royally screwed up service of the USPS. Sad. read more

Always professional and usually friendly, and lets you drop off pre-labeled boxes without waiting. BUT they just need more staff at the counters, so lines shorten. Only fault read more

Service has really improved! I have always liked the location, the facility & the parking. Previously, I wasn't so fond of the service, but things have gone well, lately & I appreciate the helpfulness of the employees. The lobby is open, accessible, & organized better for "self-service" tasks. read more

I am surprised that they don't wear masks. Very. I go from excellent service here to very mediocre to not so great. Rachel is always really really friendly and helpful. Others are hit or miss. Some very good, some like why are you bothering me. It sure would be nice if packages and mail were delivered to my home more often than others and that my mail doesn't disappear. The postal service has added some nice features but the lack of consistency is impossibly bad. read more

Vasantha and CeCe are always great at helping me ship most efficiently and cost effective. They are professional and friendly and I rarely wait more than 5 minutes for service even tho i never feel rushed. (I usually go before 1pm.) Thanks and Happy New Year! read more

used to support the USPS workers as I know they bust their butt everyday working. However, my experiences at this post office have always been shallow. Today, my package was marked delivered and it was not in my mailbox when I went to check. I have a Community Mailbox so it couldn't have been stolen since the doors are locked. I called this Post Office as it's the closest one to my house and there was no answer. I decided to drive and wait in line for 20 minutes only to get an unclear answer on what to do- as their words were "there's nothing we can do- it says it's delivered." The woman that "helped" me behind the counter belittled me every time I asked a question with "here you go again" or rolling her eyes. People like this DO NOT need to be working behind a counter. Very poor customer service and to add- this store is very understaffed as hundreds of people come in every day while there's only two people working. It's not fair to the employees behind the counter or the people shipping mail. read more

They are not enforcing their own social distance and maximum occupancy standards during this current phase of the pandemic. Letting people just walk in when they were already over filled and not enforcing the standards. read more

If I could give this post office negative stars I would. Don't bother coming here and waiting in line - it could take an hour or more

This is where you get you Passport photos done and the drama queen who controls resource Gainesville Citizens get a US passport is a self important horrible person who will turn down perfectly good photos from local photo shops just so she can feel important and charge you to reshoot them again. I had to leave she turned a perfectly easy task into a stressful situation for both of us. Luckily I was able to swing by Ocala's Post Office to wait in another line for another rude but this time intelligent person my photo worked fine and everything the Gainesville employee said was false. I don't usually leave this bad of reviews but the US Post office doesn't have working telephone numbers or anyway to complain about there staff so here is my only recourse. (Shame on you for that Post Office) read more

Passport services are no longer offered here even though the USPS website says they are Another example of excellent customer service by our government post office I needed to renew my passport but only needed a photo taken. So of course I consulted the USPS website. It showed the 16th street location as having passport photo services on saturday between 10am and 1pm. So we went. Stood in line. Only to get to the lady at the front to be told they don't offer the service any longer. Told her I looked it up on the USPS website only to get the excellent customer SNARKY response 'you can look it up all you want we don't offer that service any longer' Needless to say off across the street to CVS we went And they wonder why no one likes the postal service. They have the happiest most customer friendly employees around !! read more

I am new to the NW side of town, so yesterday was the first time I had ever used this post office. I used to use the one on Williston/34th, which I dreaded going to because most of the employees were tired, bored, disgruntled people who were not very helpful or friendly. During my visit yesterday, only one employee was working, but he kept the line moving. He very patiently explained to me how certified mail worked and what I had to fill out. He was friendly and happy and didn't make me feel unwelcome at all. It was probably the best post office experience I have ever had in Gainesville. NOTE: This post office does not accept credit cards that are not signed. I have "SEE ID" on the back of all of my credit cards, and he said he couldn't accept them, even when I presented my ID. I had to pay with a check. This is definitely an annoying and unnecessary policy, but just be aware if you use this post office. read more

Cashiers are friendly and helpful. Lines move fast. Lots of supplies and they'll tape it up for you for free! Even the week before Christmas, I got in and out quickly! Plenty of parking. read more

Before today, this branch was painful to visit. It's like the staff will be shocked with a hidden collar of they smile. But today the line was short, and Vantha, the person who helped me smiled and even called me dear. I couldn't believe it. Plus, this spot is across the street from Upper crust, a most extraordinary French bakery. The USPS has a bad rep and while this location isn't a FUN experience, it's better than a root canal. read more

Employees were friendly, but seemed slow both times I've been here. Also lines were extremely long! I would go to a different one if possible. read more

When I walked into this post office, there was a long line. The front counter worker Brian was fast and efficient and made sure it went quickly. He went out of his way to be extra helpful to the woman in front of me who did not know she needed a customs paper to ship out of the country, and he was very helpful to me as well. I will definitely revisit this location. read more

Possibly the worst post office I have been too, but the competition is fierce, nowadays. They are rude, pushy, unhelpful and aggressive....and no, I don't mean the people on the line that is always out to the door. The employees are the worst, here, if I go to this post office any longer it is just to put mail in the slot. Cannot deal with this lack of, and I mean ZERO, customer service skills. They will not even answer a yes or no question unless you wait on the long line, and then they are just plain rude. who needs this? They should be happy they are getting overpaid for basic clerical work. Don't yell at me...What happened to the friendly mail man? There are alternatives , you know (hello... email!) If you own a business, and you need a lab to show your employees how NOT to treat customers.....come here, great examples from A to Z. One other thing....the lobby is always filthy , with papers all over the place.....the parking lot is a ding in your car waiting to happen! UPDATE, since i have avoided the counter my woes here have been fewer. however, today when i NOTIFIED, notice i dont say complained, them that 2 of the 3 mail slots were jammed they said, that is because they are full. even the lady walking around the lobby did not say she would UNfull them, but gave me a look and said one of them is not for packages as i left the package slot as if i jammed them myself. read more

Today I was really surprised by the service I got today at this branch. I dealt with 2 people and both were extremely nice. There's still the "next customer please" that sounds in my head as " get your ass to the counter jack ass". Once I was there they both were very helpful. I had 2 encounters because I didn't know how to mail a 5 foot tube. The first Postal Clerk professionally advised me of my options & told me to go directly to the front of the line when I was finished filling out a mailing label. I'm sorry but I just didn't need to piss off my fellow equally clueless postal customers by cutting the line. Plus the 2 people in line were pretty attractive-a bonus! The line, (almost too quickly) evaporated and a second Postal Clerk assisted me was very pleasant, courteous and added some extra "don't screw this up" tape. I gained even more confidence in the USPS with this experience. Good job worth 3.75 & round up. read more

Received decent service, despite the other reviews. They were okay but definitely did not say "hi how are you" or anything. The staff is very distant. read more

My boyfriend and I visited the US Postal Office to check the status for a package that was marked as delivered but we had not received...and the woman who helped us was an absolute nightmare! So rude, disrespectful, and nasty! First, she didn't give us answers to any of the questions we asked her. Second, she BARELY spoke English. Third, when she did speak, she kept snapping at us and cutting us off, meanwhile, raising her voice at us because we simply didn't understand that delivered means "delivered to agent/other postal office." Like I'm sorry for the confusion, lady, but if you don't like people and want to be rude to your tax-paying customers, quit your fucking job and give it to someone who deserves it. read more

If I could give this post office negative stars I would. The people that work here are awful and complain about their job, are unhelpful, and yell at you. I want to preface the rest of the comment that I don't return or mail packages often. Today, I visited this particular branch of the US post office, and luckily I didn't have to wait long. I saw they had priority tape out to tape my label to the package, again I do not mail packages often I didn't know there was a difference. I get to the representative and she begins to question what's going on, I can't really understand her and am trying to ask questions so that my package is compliant and can be sent back. Ultimately, she starts yelling at me and I just take the package and leave. People wonder why the USPS is going out of business, this is WHY, poor customer service! I will be going to UPS or Fedex from now on, I would rather pay extra money than be yelled at and leave the building crying! read more
