She got the grape salad as her side and I got the broccoli salad and then made it a trio with a scoop of kickin Kay Lynne. The sides were great. The chicken salad was great. I ended up preferring the scoop vs the sandwich. The croissant was a little dry and not very exciting. I'd definitely go back and try some other options. This was our first time at this franchise and I really liked it. A little different than your typical burger and fry place.

I will say the Jalapeño Holly has got to be my absolute favorite it was spicy and the pickles and jalapeños in it were nice and crunchy. I will admit though for two scoops of chicken salad $13 is a bit pricy in my opinion that's my only complaint.

No wait to order. No wait for food. My order came out in about ten minutes. Speed was fine. Price was not. $31.94 for a two meat combo with burnt ends feels high, especially for the quality served. My tray arrived incomplete. Pulled pork was missing. Staff fixed the issue shortly after, so credit there. Potato salad tasted fine. Heavy ranch flavor. Potatoes were cooked well with some bite left. Decent side. Nothing memorable. Mac and cheese was unacceptable. Tasted like frozen grocery store mac and cheese. No seasoning. No depth. No reason for this to be on the menu. Pulled chicken had solid seasoning but arrived dry and barely warm. Sauce or a large drink felt required. Pulled pork arrived cold and lacked flavor. No smoke presence. No richness, and no moisture whatsoever. Burnt ends looked promising but failed on execution. Served cold. Bark was crisp. Some bites were moist. Other bites were dry. Flavor was average. These were brisket chunks, not true burnt ends. No caramelization. No sauce coating. Sauces were the highlight. Every option tasted good. The #1 classic mild stood out. The #3 tangy and spicy was also strong. Overall experience landed average to below average. The walls advertise BBQ championships, but the food did not support the reputation. Serving cold meat is unacceptable. Serving generic mac and cheese is worse. I expected far more from a place carrying this name.

After 2-3 more minutes, she came back to the counter and took our order. After that she left out the takeout door and never returned. We ordered pizza, which was delivered promptly and hot. The food quality was good, but we had to go to the kitchen to get utensils, and when we were leaving had to go to the counter and get our own to go box. This was Sunday afternoon about 3:30. We have a Firehouse Subs in Midland & used to love the food there. The problem was, for lunch on Sunday there was no room to sit. I liked how this FS location is bigger & a lot less crowded. We also got here before it got pretty busy. One problem I had was that the restroom is only a 1-seater, & I had to wait for 2 other people before I could get in there, & that was before it got busy! The 3 of us could eat for $28.03, which is a reasonable price. I ordered the Veggie Sub, which wasn't displayed on a visible menu, but I knew it existed because I ordered it in the Midland location all the time. I usually get it as a medium-size, with wheat bread, all the veggies, cheese, & mushrooms included. I also got chips (Doritos, cool ranch) & a drink (some berry-flavor I selected from the drink fountain screen--which I always thought was a neat way to have so many drink options that don't have to take up much space) with it.
