When I sat down for my appointment, he told me again that next time I should come an hour early to choose my color. I sat through my manicure feeling embarrassed, and the tech doing my nails seemed visibly uncomfortable after I was scolded in front of everyone. The manicure itself wasn't up to the usual standard, and one nail had already broken by the next day, and I ended up with a nail color I don't like. I understand salons can get busy, but a quiet, polite heads-up would have gone a lot further than being called out by name in front of other customers. It left me feeling embarrassed and unlikely to return.

Second, let's talk about the RIDICULOUS upcharging at this salon. They charged me an additional $5 to use a pumice on my feet to remove the dead skin. Five dollars! I've literally never been charged extra for something that is usually included in a basic pedicure like that. Talk about a scam. Not to mention the constant badgering to upgrade my pedicure to the "deluxe" version, get gel on my nails instead of regular polish, add on an acrylic manicure, etc, etc. Honestly, I saw the bill presented to me at the counter by the prepubescent girl in charge of checking me out and I wanted to laugh.
