This is a FANTASTIC salon- honestly I think it might be the best one in the continental United States. I called two hours before they closed for the day, desperate for a pedicure, and they managed to fit me in. When I tell you that they were incredibly detailed and thorough- for context, I work a trail job that leaves my feet looking a little worse for the wear, to put it politely, and they looked at them and got to work. The environment at Jesnail is unmatched. Everyone there is so funny and kind. If you are a dog person, you will be pleased to have your nails done with Cocoa the Husky around as well. The worst gel manicure I've had in three states. The pictures are less than two hours after my manicure; you can see the usually super shiny gel polish is cloudy. My nails were filed crookedly (and not buffed) and there's visible polish on my skin. The red color started turning yellow the next day. OPI usually lasts two weeks without any visible wear but the polish on my thumb began lifting in less than 48 hours. You can have the most gorgeous work on Instagram of all time but if you can't do a basic gel manicure, I assume you don't know how to do nails. They also insisted I pay with cash even though it doesn't say anything about cash only anywhere, probably so I couldn't do a charge back on this horrible work. read more

I have been a frequent customer at Jesnail for sometime now, and every time I make an appointment, I am extremely happy with how my nails come out. Today's visit was no different. I visited Jes today after previously getting my nails done at the brewer Walmart. The salon at this Walmart did a TERRIBLE job on my nails. The service was poor and the nails were overpriced, especially for the quality. After leaving Walmart, upset and frustrated, I quickly called Jes in an attempt to fix the mess that was my nails. Jes was quick to answer me call and was so kind and compassionate about my situation. She allowed me to come in a few minutes before she closed and did an amazing job fixing my nails. Genuinely can't say enough good things about Jes! I first heard of her 2 years ago from a Facebook friend, and immediately ran to her Instagram page to see what she could do. Very quickly after that I booked my first appointment with her... I haven't let anybody else touch my nails since! She's very quick, detail oriented, friendly/funny, and TALENTED. After reopening after the initial shut down from the pandemic, I ended up waiting a little over a year before booking with her (I didn't want to get my nails put on in time for another shut down, so I waited awhile), but before this I had gone to her every 2-3 weeks for 8 months. When I finally got back in the salon, I was greeted with a happy scream, and she immediately picked back up on asking how I was and what I had been up to. About a year and a half after the start of covid, and she's still taking everyone's safety very seriously, and does really well with staying compliant with any covid rules and suggestions. Her business is booming now and she books further out than she used to, but I couldn't be more proud of how well she is doing! Every time I go see Jes I am always very happy I can take any picture off any website for her to recreate and she does. Also when free styling she always does very pretty things. I love Van at Jesnail. He's the only one I let do my nails these days. Jes is definitely the go-to person for funky, on-trend nail art, etc. but if you're looking for relatively basic but good quality nails, Van is the man for the job. The shop is in a converted home, so don't expect superior spa-quality surroundings, but they do a great job with what's at hand. Hygiene was an issue for me here. I got the "dipped nails." I expected for the person to use a separate container of powder, however, he did not. He dipped my nails directly into the main container, which I assume is used by everyone. He also did not have me wash my hands prior to dipping my nails. I will not go back because of this issue. I should have said something at the time, but thought most salons should follow strict guidelines to reduce risk of any sort of infection. I know good work is done here, but cleanliness is more important to me than anything else. read more
