Oh ABSOLUTELY NOT. If you live in the Bangor area, please know that there are OODLES of better salons to get your nails done at than All About Nails. First of all- let's talk about customer service. I'm usually not one to complain too much about service, as I understand that we all have bad days. But my technician PULLED MY LEG HAIR unprompted and laughed. Excuse me? I don't care what kind of a bad day you're having, pulling a customer's leg hair is unacceptable. It's not uncommon or shameful, but I felt embarrassed the whole time because of this incident, and I honestly wished I could have walked out at that point- and I would have if my feet weren't soaking wet. Second, let's talk about the RIDICULOUS upcharging at this salon. They charged me an additional $5 to use a pumice on my feet to remove the dead skin. Five dollars! I've literally never been charged extra for something that is usually included in a basic pedicure like that. Talk about a scam. Not to mention the constant badgering to upgrade my pedicure to the "deluxe" version, get gel on my nails instead of regular polish, add on an acrylic manicure, etc, etc. Honestly, I saw the bill presented to me at the counter by the prepubescent girl in charge of checking me out and I wanted to laugh. It cost more than getting a gel pedi at JesNail in Bangor would. Needless to say, I have never gone back and I will continue to avoid this place for all I am worth. Had appointment but four workers and there were 4 with an appointment at 2, 3 at 2:30 and another 4 people came a 2:30. All were getting multiple services with only 4 workers so the wait times were long and we were rushed. They use the same instruments on everyone with sterilizing. Would be easy to get an infection. I got a deluxe pedicure at $61 with gel and my toenails were not even shaped or filed. Polish is very clumpy and goes over cuticles so won't last. The workers are very rude and pushy. Asked 3 times trying to push gel but wouldn't speak to me otherwise. Also you cannot look at the gel colors as they walk over and grab them away and say "not your turn" Would not come back read more

I came into the salon to get my acrylics removed and to get a new set. after a few painful attempts of him removing my old acrylics with a fake nail, I asked him to soak them instead to prevent more pain/possible infection. I sat there with my nails soaking in the tin foil while the employees played on their phones for about 20-25 minutes. a lady came out and was very rough with my nails but I let her continue to do her thing until she filed the side of my finger raw making it bleed. she apologized then continued to file the rest of my fingers raw. after leaving the salon, I noticed 6/10 of my nails were clearly uneven. I got a text a couple hours after leaving the salon asking how my experience went and I explained what had happened and I got a very rude text from the lady who did my nails defending herself instead of apologizing for how careless she was. I was a walk-in on a Friday around 1:00pm. I asked if they took walkins and could fit me in and she said yes. I sat down to wait as there were only 2 others in the waiting here. After 20 minutes I asked the receptionist about how long I could expect to wait. She came back and said an hour to an hour and a half. I said wow why didn't you tell me this when I walked in. And she said "I don't know". I asked if there were any other nail salons in the area and she said no. So I drove to Ellsworth. Haha. They may be great at nails. Since I travel for work every few months I am looking for someplace new to get my mani/pedis done at. Well for the first time, I think I am one and done. Staff all wore masks, areas cleaned between clients with time for area to air dry. They were short staffed as it is the flu season and they did an amazing job on everyone's nails I saw walk through the door including mine. What you asked for is what you got. My pedicure the massage was amazing I got the 3rd option they had, I wish I had taken a picture of the pedicure menu, but I did not. I had the start of an ingrown toenail on both big does that he asked if he could take care of and I said yes, I couldn't be more thankful for him doing. I will give this warning; If you have diabetes or a heart issue or any kind of neuropathy go to a pediatrist or primary care to get nails cut and ingrowns taken care of as this could cause you other issues having it done in nail salon. read more

I just had my first mani & pedi. My daughter who is a frequent patron treated me today. We were having a lovely time until she said she didn't like the leaves they painted on her nails. They offered to redo them and were in the process when the lady who owns or runs the place said my daughter's nail could not be completed. We were taking "too long" Of course we were shocked about the horrible remark. My daughter asked for clarification and she said we were done. My daughter's nails were unfinished when we left. My daughter paid for the full amount and left a nice tip for the attendants. We had to go find another nail salon to complete the nails. Nope, never again! I called and got a 1:30pm appointment, one polish change, two pedicures, one dip set and one gel set. I arrived on time and found a full spa. I picked my color and asked for the gel so my niece could pick her color and it was never given to us. We waiting thirty minutes I was ready to leave and they put us in the chairs. They tended to my daughter for her polish change right away but ignored her when she asked for a design, I got a pedicure that was not bad but the polish chipped in less than a week. My niece waited for OVER an HOUR! They kept sitting people, when I requested one person to do her nails and one to do her feet we were told no. Somehow they managed to do a mani/pedi with dip in 25 minutes. I'm sorry but no! It was TERRIBLE. It was not a proper mani/pedi, I never got my dip. It took forever, was done half way, never again. I showed up today at my appointment time only to find out that the technician I made the appointment with had just started on another client. The owner was extremely rude when I expressed my disappointment in having to wait. She actually mocked me, saying I came in saying "blah, blah, blah" (her words actually). Was unhappy with my whole experience after my last appointment. I had gotten a dip manicure and during the process of removing the previous polish, the tech dug his nail into my skin and burned my fingertips with the tool he was using to remove the polish. After they were finished, a couple of nails smudged while drying and a couple weren't smooth, some grit/dust had gotten stuck underneath. They fixed the smudges but refused to fix the others. When they asked me via text how my appointment was, I said that I was disappointed that they weren't fixed when I asked, but never got a response. It was the first time I hadn't been thrilled with my nails, so I was still fine with going back because usually I'm happy with the result. This week, I tried to schedule an appointment, and usually I'm able to get in same week. First try, they asked to text me back to schedule as they were busy, fine, but I never got a text, second try, they sent me to voicemail twice and when I finally got through, I was told they were booking out to the end of August and that's why they don't always answer the phone. A friend of mine called today and got an appointment for Saturday, I called again from a different number and got an appointment tomorrow evening without issues. Clearly they were trying to avoid scheduling me. The wait time with an appointment is also unacceptable. Scheduled with a friend and we waited two hours past the appointment time to have walk ins taken before us. Beyond unprofessional and so disrespectful. They're within their right to refuse service. But be adults about it. I've been a loyal client for months and after this experience, I absolutely will not be going back. read more

Woman who greeted me was obviously in a very bad mood and remained that way the entire time I was there. Before I could apologize for being five minutes late she started in on me. There was no one waiting either. She obviously runs the show. The man whose was working from n my nails left me for 36 minutes to work on a lady who came in AFTER me. She was complaining that she had her nails done there a few days earlier and they were too long. Was that my fault?? Then another lady left very upset as she waited nearly half Ann hour past her appointment time with no acknowledgement of her long wait. came in for service yesterday around 2:45. To have a pedicure with my daughter. We got seated in a pedicure chair a little after three, sat there for a while, until a very young girl who probably isn't licensed came over and started our pedicures, I didn't get my polish removed, a lady came over after this young girl did a quick maybe 5 mins scrub, between clients to take a look. This place does a fantastic job.... Having said that; making an appointment with any seriousness is out of the question because whether or not you have one they make you wait MINIMUM an hour and 20 minutes. And as you sit there catching shade from the staff because THEY ARE MAKING YOU WAIT you can watch them answer the phone and make appointments with no care at all. There is no book they aren't keeping track. My advise don't waste your time making an appointment if you'd like to feel like your time is respected as something valuable. Because unfortunately it very much is not. Prepare to wait hours for an uncomfortable vibe but great nails. Hmmm I'm gonna say after this it's not worth the aggravation.
