I showed up for my appointment today and was told by the receptionist in the most condescending tone, "oh no sweetie, she moved." No one told me of this which caused me to be 20 minutes late to my appointment when I showed up to the correct location. The receptionist at the 2601 W. Marquette Road location had no record of my appointment and said it was neither her fault, the other receptionist's fault, nor their computer's fault, in essence blaming me for their staff error. I asked when I could be seen and she gave me only one appointment time that did not work with my schedule. I had to tell her 3 times that the appointment would not work with my schedule because she would not listen to me. In addition, when I asked if I could speak with Evelyn to see about getting my prescription called in to a pharmacy, Evelyn would not return my call and relayed the message that she would not help me with my medication. This is highly unethical to leave a patient in such a precarious situation. I can't emphasize enough how ignorant the staff are and how terrible Evelyn Norton is. Do not go here.

He has gone several times without me and has always told me how friendly the staff was and how inviting the inside was. This is the first time I have had to go with him. As we drove through neighborhood to get to the site, I was a bit concerned. The error appeared a bit "unsavory" for a doctors office. The outside didnt appear to be a place where a doctor would be performing any services. Despite my reluctance, I went in and to my surprise the inside was nice. What's that about not judging a book by it's cover.... The staff was indeed very nice. He was seen immediately. His service was performed and he was escorted back to my waiting arms (smile.) When we arrived the receptionist advised that he should be back about 1.5 hours. 1.5 hours later is when he came out! I love it. In the world of healthcare the term AIDET is used frequently. *** AVOID AT ALL COSTS ***…read more I made the mistake of allowing my local medical supply company enroll me into Nationwide Medical (as they were bought by NWM). HUGE MISTAKE. Having supplies automatically mailed to you at home seems like a great idea. But they will call you daily if you want to talk to a representative prior to medical shipment out. And, if like me, you actually DO need to talk to someone, the automated response is "We will call you back when a representative is available." In itself, that's just pathetic. If you're going to call me, and I need help, be sure someone is either there to response or allow me to wait for someone. I can overlook that, but...
