We had a rocky start with this company, but the manager made it good in the end. The scheduler really messed us up, setting up a firm appointment for an apartment carpet that we relied on with an incoming tenant. He called the day before the install, but acted as if he'd never heard of us and offered a date in the following week. When I explained he had already scheduled us and we had a tenant moving in, he effectively shrugged, admitted that he did schedule us, but said he never set up the job, so... nothing. Our problem, not his. I complained in a email to the manager, who confirmed that this happened exactly as I said, and she squeezed us in on the originally scheduled day. This created a LOT of disruption to my business and that maddening attitude of "who cares" from the scheduler didn't help things. But after all that, the manager was accommodating and made it right. Can't really recommend them after that, but if you're doing a Home Depot install in the area, this the company you'll get. It's not like you have choices. My suggestion is to work directly with the manager and confirm everything the scheduler says with her, when he says it, exactly as he says it. Then somebody who cares will be aware of the job and you'll actually get your carpet installed. read more

Very unhappy with there work. The grout started cracking and the tiles were moving. I went through Home Depot and they set USIG to do the installation. I noticed the grout cracking when I looked to where there was a noise when I walked on the floor. I contacted Home Depot and he said he would contact USIG and someone would probably come out to correct the problem. After multiple attempts Home Depot said USIG refused to do anything about it. He said it was past the warranty. A tile floor should last for several years not only a year or 2. I could understand if some was dropped on it and the tile broke but this never happened. He also said there must be moisture or the floor moved. None of this was true. There was 2 other rooms next to it and those were done several years ago by another contractor and not one problem. He refused to admit the installers made a mistake and refused to even look at it. I had other projects in line for them to do but with this workmanship, I will go to a competitor. read more

Wow is this place a joke. Took two months to get one room of carpet installed. After they screwed up the measurements the first time (mind you, this is ONE room of carpet being installed) by a foot in each direction, rather than put me on the top of the list to get it done right away we just started the whole process over again. During that time the carpet was discontinued. Home Depot should be embarrassed to use such an awful company. And to think they have the audacity to advertise carpet in 5 days all over their store. Stay away from them. I bought carpet at Home Depot and they were contracted to do the install in Sebastian, FL. They left numerous hammer marks on the walls, they also cut the wall with a box cutter twice. I expected some damages but not this much. I emailed the manager at this location, Jim. Instead of holding accountability, he is trying to say the damages were already there which is not true. His customer service was great until I had a problem. They call with all their nonsense about sending big crews and show up with young, inexperienced, mouthy guys that will NEVER actually finish. they broke our $3K special order sliding glass door then hauled ass, made excuses and then blame the scheduler, manager, home depot, the weather, and eventually me. USIG doesn't deserve a single star. I honestly don't know what the hell they do or what purpose they serve. I ordered carpet through Home Depot. They placed the order with a manufacturer. The manufacturer sent the carpet to USIG. USIG contracts out the installation to a subcontractor. The process to even get to installation has taken over a month. Not only did I have to call USIG MULTIPLE times to find out where my carpet was, but I also had to tell them when it arrived at their own location! They had no clue. Next, on the date of the install, they reschedule For a week later - no warning, nothing. Why? Because their subcontractors' truck broke. I've had to rearrange my entire day and house around the installation that never was. The level of incompetence on behalf of all groups involved is astounding. 6 weeks after the installation of the flooring a couple of sections started to crack and raise up on the edges and corners Very difficult getting them to respond but I persisted requesting help. They eventually sent someone to inspect the problem. That man said the flooring was defective and he would send men out to replace the flooring in that area. Weeks later no one came out. After my repeated calls they informed me that I had abused the flooring and they were not responsible. The flooring was expensive, the installation was expensive. I did not abuse the flooring. I decide to call them on that following Monday and they sounded like they had no clue what was happening and just told me the carpets coming soon and I'll get a call in a few days. *waits ANOTHER week* No call. I call them back and suddenly they have the dates for the installation.... FOR DECEMBER. I bought my carpet Nov 7 and have to wait a full month to get it installed. We had our flooring from home depot installed by Willie from USIG clearwater office. It was a disaster. 1st of all his employees only spoke Spanish, so that was a language barrier from the beginning. We had this same floor installed by USIG on 4-2021 and the installing was spot on an did a beautiful good. We came home when there office stated the floors were ready. We noticed the bottom of the baseboard was not sealed by caucking. It took us 3 days of fighting with Williw and his employee's to simply get it chucked. That finally happened. Now we are having issues with the threshold 's. They are all coming up. The installation is so UNPROFESSIONAL. I think home depot needs to re evaluate this company as a sub contractor. read more

USIG damaged my new black quartz countertops, a new sink, and a mini fridge during installation of my floors. They didn't cover the countertops during the tile floor demolition and the gritty dust went everywhere. The workers then wrote their names, "clean me", and a big smiley face in the dust on the counters that left permanent damage. I filed a claim in April and the manager, Robert Graziano, and regional manager have both failed to act upon it. read more

Thanks to Brian who worked diligently with us to make sure scheduling in on track, following up with us to overcome potential delays. Worst experience I ever had with a home improvement project. Crews had to come out 4 times to install a walk-in closet carpet. Every time the promised number of crew and the work to be done was wrong; crew refused to do some of the work and got nasty; some of them refused to wear a mask. It just went on and on and on. They guys who did the tile for my bath did a excellent job except they left sun flower seeds all over my restroom and kids play room. The guy who came in for the rest of my flooring one guy who literally made up a bunch of excuses just to no do the work. Said the sub floor was even and might be my foundation. When i told him the foundation was already fix. He then said it could be wood is rotten. But when i checked it was good. Long story short USIG has alot workers especially here in Texas where they take advantage of. Its sad that Walter Molina the installer for my project honestly thought I believed everything he said. Unfortunately I Had US Installations install laminate floors in my Condo , which I purchased from the local Home cheapo For $4400. First off, They had to level my cement floors before the install. What they did not tell me was that they had to level more areas then what my contract was for, or that it would cost over $700 more. I never was told or agreed to any extra work. I found this out the hard way when I was returning extra materials for credit at the Home Depot and Home Depot instead of giving me a credit ended up charging me the balance of the extra work. ( must be illegal to do this) it took 2 months before it was cleared up and I received my money back. The other issue was as I watched the install I noticed that every time it came to installing a very expensive transition piece, They would just glue it in place and not use the metal strip that comes with the piece. There is a reason they give you the metal strip and it should be installed first and then the top transition piece snaps in place. When I asked why they didn't use the metal, They told me this is how they do it all the time. I think it a short cut to save time and was not happy about that. also there was a transition area that needed a curved piece. This should have been ordered when I got the estimate from Home Depot. It was not there and has never been installed. I was told someone from US installations was going to find the correct piece and get back to me In a day or two and they would come back and install it. Wake me up from this nightmare please. I am so screwed. We contracted with home depot to install our vinyl plank flooring. Home depot sent an estimator over and once results from estimator were finalized we signed the deal. ONE WEEK BEFORE THANKSGIVING WAS OUR INSTALL DATE. FAMILY FLYING IN FOR THE HOLIDAY! Totally stoked day of install. One man showed up and he said the other installer was on holiday! So, he ripped up our carpet, and after, only after whole house was stripped, the installer told us he couldn't install the flooring because the center of our house was uneven! Mind you the carpet meets at the center to transition into vinyl for kitchen. We could have established this right away. So I was advised to sand this area down which I did. Renting a floor sander from home depot. The installer returned to install. This time with his senior partner. Still the floor uneven to spec. The senior installer said I shouldn't have sanded. I could have bla bla bla. Now my floor is thin in areas. He came up with a game plan and we followed his plan. We asked for a rep to come amd pre inspect before next install date. Got a call from home depot confirming someone would be coming out. Got a call from David saying "dont worry Don, your floor will be finished wed. Dont worry. Well you can guess it. Installers said still not right. I am at a total loss. I hired a professional company to complete a job in my best interest. Instead they took my money and I am stuck in a bad way! I am screwed. The installers were nice men and not at all at fault for what happened with my home depot carpet install although they sure did ding up walls, closet doors etc. Anyway the fault for laying a patterned carpet in the wrong direction lands with the measurement team and the god awful office women at USIG. I have never been treated so terribly by anyone as i was by Amanda and her supervisor Nydia. Awful people just awful. When i called to say the carpet was being put in in the wrong direction Amanda got so aggressive and nasty i was traumatized. She made a great point of telling me her supervisor Nydia was standing beside her so i guess she found abuse acceptable. Anyway even better, after they way i was treated Nydia called a couple of hours later so we could take a survey! Sweet voiced as can be! Wow these people are nuts! Home Depot has offered to make it right but since USIG will never ever set foot in any home i own again i dont know how they can make this right. Too bad there is not a "zero" star rating. Home Depot had USIG install carpet in our house. As soon as they were done I was being harassed to sign the approval form right away before they leave. I checked the carpet and everything looked fine. We moved a lot of furniture in out master bath to make room for the install. Didn't use that room until a week later to find that they hit the baseboard in our closet so hard it cracked the tile down the middle in our shower. I called and got repeated protests that I signed the form and why did it take me so long to report it. After an inspection from USIG and Home Depot. They both wrote reports saying that our shower was too "old" and it was not their fault. It was a bunch of BS. The crack is down the middle of 2 solid tiles directly opposite of the baseboard in the closet. So now we have to spend thousands of dollars on a shower because USIG was unwilling to fix it even though it was their fault. Later we had a flooding in our house and had to replace the carpet in one of our guest rooms. I purchased the same carpet from Home depot directly and hired an independent contractor to install it. They were so much more professional and had no problems for less money. I started a facebook page and heard horrible things about this company. I can't say enough bad things about this "company". I go to Home Depot thinking that I would use them to have new carpet installed in my home. They apparently outsource to local companies. Ok fine. So the nightmare begins with US Installations. Everything gets scheduled, a date is chosen way out there as we wait for the carpet to be ordered. I get put in touch with the owner who takes ages to respond to any email, doesn't return calls. Awesome. The day of the installation comes, a man shows up at my house who doesn't speak a single word of english. Thinking I should be calling ICE. He has his girlfriend with him to translate. She brought her teenage daughter along because she was off from school... We were told that we would only have to move specific furniture, which turned out not to be the case. As this company decided to only send one person my wife and I had to help him move some of the heavier stuff. Fast forward a year later, there is a gigantic rip in the carpet in a perfectly straight line exactly along the seam, and the carpet is delaminating. We open up a claim with Home Depot, who sends it back to US Installation. Yet again, the lead idiot Eric doesn't answer his phone, return calls or emails. I eventually manage to get through to them, and they send someone out to inspect the damage. He comes out, inspects the carpet, aka sticks a screwdriver under it and rips it up more. He decides it's a manufacturer defect as it was delaminating and tells me it's bizarre that the seam was where it was. Gentlemen from the manufacturer comes out to do an inspect, this now being after Hurricane Florence does a mold test on the carpet as well. Does his thing and tells me Home Depot will be in touch. I get a call from them a few days later that they are still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. My wife and I finally rip up the carpet and replace it with laminate. We find mold underneath, so thanks to them for not letting us know. Weeks go by, and I finally reach back out to Home Depot. They get on the phone with idiot Eric who tells me its the manufactures fault. The manufacturer says it's pet damage (from my declawed cats). They tell me they need to send a 3rd inspector out now, but the carpet is gone. They escalate to a manager who calls me back the next day. Now US Installations has changed their tune and they're saying it's pet damage. Leaving my wife and I completely screwed. TLDR - US Installations sent out someone who didn't speak a word of English, who brought his girlfriend to translate, who brought her teenage daughter. And they all did a shitty job on a carpet that didn't last a year, and they get out making it right by flat out lying and blaming it on my cats, who apparently can cut up a carpet in a perfectly straight line, then delaminate it. Had a $15,000 laminate floor install scheduled to begin today. This has been scheduled for six weeks. We boarded our dogs and had a hotel room booked for the timeframe they had provided us. The installers did not show up at 8o'clock this morning and we called them at 8:40 and were told they would not be able to do the install today and they would get back to us with the rescheduling. We spoke to customer service, with no relief. We spoke to Home Depot without any relief. Each day this install is delayed is costing us an additional $250. Worst customer service ever! STRONG RECOMMENDATION: DO NOT USE USIG AS A FLOORING CONTRACTOR. I will shorten my story as best I can. My nightmare started in May, 2019 and ended in July, 2020. We contracted with Home Depot to have our existing Pergo and tile removed throughout the house, and then have all that replaced with new Pergo purchased through Home Depot. The cost was in the thousands. Home Depot uses a company called USIG to do their floor installations, and have used them for roughly 20 years. Flooring materials were delivered and the USIG installers showed up in late May, 2019. Only one could speak any English, and that wasn't much. They removed the existing flooring and installed the new Pergo throughout the house and it looked very nice. The work was completed in June, 2019. However, the USIG installers had not checked the cement foundation to ensure it was level before putting down the new flooring. They should have. The contract stated that the floor would be brought up to specs if it was needed. Within a month after the new flooring was installed, the floor began to creak and squeak throughout when you walked across it. I called and stopped in at Home Depot to complain and asked that someone come out and fix the problem as both labor and materials were under warranty. Communication from/between Home Depot and USIG appeared poor or non-existent from the beginning of this effort. Fast forward to January, 2020. Over the next few weeks, several inspectors came out to inspect the flooring installation - 1 independent, 1 from USIG, and 1 from the manufacturer. Home Depot and USIG received a report stating that the floor was not prepped correctly - that the floor was not flat when the new flooring was installed. Eventually, Home Depot and USIG agreed that USIG would come out and correct the problem (whatever effort that would entail) so that the floor did not squeak. In late May, 2020, a USIG flooring guy came out to start the fix with the mindset that it would be an easy and quick fix - i.e. - taking a few floor boards out here and there, filling in the low spots, and then reinstalling the floor boards. He removed boards and began to pour product on the floor to get it to self-level. As he progressed, he realized the problem was much bigger than originally thought. He discovered that when the original USIG installers did the work, they had not done the necessary prep work to level the floor where needed. After three days, USIG called and told me they might have to replace the entire floor. They would get back to me. Half of our floor had been pulled up down to the cement; furniture and appliances had been moved; our refrigerator was in our living room; our home was in disarray (and it stayed this way for two months). I tried to get updates several times from USIG about next steps, but I got no information or updates from them. I kept escalating until finally Home Depot got someone from USIG headquarters to call and work with me. Only then did things finally start to move forward. It was agreed that USIG would pull up the entire (new) flooring, level the foundation where needed, and redo the whole floor with new product at no cost to me. Product was delivered and USIG sent out their best local installer and by mid-July, 2020, the job was completed. The floor looks great and as of this writing, there is only one place where there is a squeak. In the end (after a year), we got the new floor we wanted with no creaking and squeaking (except in one place so far). But I would not wish this nightmare and process upon my enemy. My advice - do not use USIG as a flooring contractor and do not use Home Depot for your flooring needs because of their relationship with USIG. read more

First I called after the materials, vinyl flooring for the master bedroom were delivered by Home Depot. Their scheduler from the Venice office, Ken was too busy to assist me and told me he would call me later in the day. I called around 3:30 and he firmly told me that he would call me at the end of HIS day which was 6 pm. He did call me before 6 pm only to inform me he still did not have an opportunity to schedule me. Finally by mid-morning he called me and said an installer would be there the following day. Prior to this install, I was told that I would have to handle any electronics and mirrors. I agreed. The installer showed up, I showed him the room and all the materials delivered. Next I get a call from Ken who tells me that everything has to be removed from the room. I told him that was impossible and no one said this was a requirement. I told him they installed a new floor in the spare bedroom in June and the furniture was just moved to one side and then the other as the floor was installed. I also informed him that I had friends who did not move all their furniture from the room prior to installation of laminate. He continued to argue with me. Next I knew the installer left without saying a word. Due to issues with Home Depot I waited almost 5 weeks for this floor. Now I have a partially disassembled bedroom, no installation and unsure what is going on. At no point did anyone from Home Depot or your company ever inform me that all the furniture had to be removed otherwise I would have went with a more reasonable company because moving all the furniture out is NOT an option. Plus I didn't have to move the furniture from the spare bedroom. I feel completely disrespected by Ken and his installer. They made no effort to work with me. One just made demands while the other didn't even have the courtesy to speak with me. I have a call in with the local Home Depot manager in hopes something can be resolved. The manager, Stacy called and told me everything that had to be done in order to reschedule the installation. None of this was told me by either the Home Depot store associate or the rep who came out to measure the floor. So I agreed. Then the morning of the second scheduled date, an elderly couple came to my home. Once again after being on site for less than 15 minutes they left. The boss, Ken called once again telling me the carpet was too dirty. I told him furniture was just moved and the carpet was over 20 years over. I offered to vacuum it but he said there was nothing that could be done. The Home Depot manager, Stacy also washed her hands of it. So I was left with product and a completely disassembled room once again. I contacted American Trust Wood Flooring who came out and did the job without moving any furniture from the room !!! read more

USIG came to my house on 3/22-3/22 to do flooring install for Home Depot. They damaged my walls, several couches, two tables, five chairs and didn't reinstall the refrigerator correctly causing me to think it had a leak and so I bought a new one to try and save my 9k flooring. I found out from Home Depot's other contractor that the issue was poor installing causing the water to leak. I've reached out to them and Home Depot for over two months and they keep lying about a claims adjuster is gonna contact me but never have. This has caused me thousands of dollars and Home Depot refuses to help. Never seen such an unprofessional business. Went through Home Depot and got this subcontracted company. They originally told me the job would start July 5th which I said oh really you work the day after July 4th and they said yes. So I took a vacation day for the 5th. Less than 2 weeks before, they called and moved it to the 6th and the 7th. The guy gets here on a Tuesday and tells me he has this job slated for 3 days. Tried to tell me I needed to hire someone else to remove old tiles near my lazy susan (that's what I hired you for). The guy ends up taking 5 days instead of 3 and I have a small kitchen floor. The guy had an issue with the step up part of my dining room and kitchen. Instead of talking to me about it by knocking on my bedroom door (where I was) or call my cell phone, he just left around 11am. I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first thinking he may have needed to get more material. I texted him at 2pm seeing if he was coming back to finish that day. No response. Call him at 3pm. No response. I heard back from him at 6:45 PM. Told me he had an issue with the step up and told me I can do it one way or another and proceeded to tell me what "I" need to do to finish the job. Told me "I" need to put compound and sheet rock on it. To clarify J asked him if he was done wirh the job which he stated yes.. I complained about the experience to Home Depot and the manager of the USIG company came and looked at it yesterday on Thursday. Looked at it and I thought he would fix it that day. Never told me he was leaving and left without informing me when he would return. I called him this morning and he told me he plans on coming out to fix it on Tuesday next week. Takes 2 weeks to get a finished product out of this company. Do yourself a favor and not make the mistake of going through Home Depot and getting a incompetent company like this. US Installation, horrible company that you need to stay away from. I've bought flooring from Home Depot for 5 or 6 homes, US Installation always seems to screw up the install. DON'T BUY YOUR FLOORING FROM HOME DEPOT unless you get to use a different installer. Multiple scheduled install dates, they call the day before to confirm & then call back to bounce the date yet again. This time, I decided not to take it anymore. US Installation Group is the company Home Depot uses for their carpet installations. WORST customer service ever! Pure incompetence. I was scheduled twice and no one showed up. Scheduler first time forgot to put it in the system. Then lied and tried to cover herself. Re-scheduled. No one showed up. Third time lo and behold, an installer actually shows up. And the carpet is too small! It was measured incorrectly! Now they tell me it has to start over and come from Georgia unless I want to choose an in stock carpet at my local Home Depot AND PICK IT UP MYSELF. Excuse me? I asked for a complete refund and took my business elsewhere. Shame on you Home Depot for using such an incompetent contractor. ONLY one star because you can't give zero read more
