We love our new luxury vinyl plank floors. They were able to lay the vinyl planks right over the tiles (with special sheeting in between to ensure leveling). Feels so much more homey and even makes the rooms look larger. We used LG Kramer Flooring and were very pleased. They did several projects and 2 of 3 were good, but the gym flooring they put in along with the wood on the stairs was not so good. Had to chase them for multiple follow ups and in the end I just paid to have someone else come in and fix it. My situation was a bit different from many. I work in the flooring industry in California, but had just purchased our retirement/vacation home in Florida. Being in the industry, I had the carpet connection, but I had no idea who to get for installation. And trust me, I am VERY particular. So through my searching, I decided LG Kramer would be the one for the job. First off, it's a stressful day for many when you know your getting carpet installed. My home is so new to me, and Dean and Chris treated it like their own. I was so pleased at how they treated my furniture. They actually cut out sections of my old carpet first and put it under the furniture that they moved out on the lanai. And I need to mention that my carpet is looped and not easy to seam. I know from experience, that seams on newly installed carpet never look fantastic until everything relaxes, a few days or so later. Well, I searched for the seam, and I only found it because I knew where it was, otherwise I would not have found it. Lance the owner came later also. Super professional team all the way around. They took the time and went the extra mile to make sure you were comfortable in this big investment, respecting any budgets or timelines that may exist and explaining every step of the process. Lance is THE BEST! There is nothing worse than living out of town and needing a contractor/repairman in Siesta Key!
