Buying a house it pretty stressful, especially when you're a wet behind the ears first time perspective home owner, like me. Jason Thompson, my home inspector, was never anything less than professional, detailed and one hell of a nice guy. He thoroughly inspected the property and patiently answered any questions I asked him. He explained things clearly and concisely and never once made me feel as if I was asking a "dumb question." Sometimes people who have more knowledge than you do can make you feel silly for asking questions or not already knowing something, but that is in no way Jason. He's was top notch from beginning to end. Jason sent me a 23 page report of his findings and recommendations, which I received the same day as the inspection. It was even more detailed than the inspection itself, in that, great care was taken to create a clear picture using both words and photos. He clarified concerns he had about my potential home which we had discussed earlier that day. I was extremely pleased with what I received. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this companies level of professionalism and attention to detail. George Novak arrived at the property 15 minutes early and was ready to start immediately. He was extremely polite and friendly, and presented himself in a professional but relaxed manner (which was good for us). He briefly explained the process; what he would be doing and how - and covered some basic rules for our safety. He allowed us to shadow him (when it was safe to do so) and patiently explained the tasks as he completed them. He conducted a very thorough and comprehensive inspection of the entire property without wasting time, while simultaneously answering all of our questions with patience and an obvious wealth of knowledge. Our inspector Jason Thompson was great! Not only was he really through but he provided insights on items throughout the house. Here is an example. He called out that there was a certain type of outlet in the garage that will turn off if wet (he said the proper term but I don't remember). He called this out since if the outlet / breaker was tripped we would not be able to open one of our garage doors. This was important because of the garage door but also because we were planning to put our deep freezer in the garage. He stated that we could but if the outlet / breaker was tripped we could lose everything in the deep freezer. Jim L. was very professional and provided a thorough inspection of our home, which we are in the process of purchasing. Jim provided us with a well flow and potability test, termite inspection, and home inspection. He was timely in his arrival and inspection while maintaining a quality inspection service.
