Came here for my interview for Global Entry. I scheduled my interview 2 months ago. So, it may take a bit to get an interview since the LAX location was not accepting it 2 months ago. However, I think they re-opened the LAX location 1 week ago now. So double check into that. Location: Entrance door is located on LONG BEACH BLVD!! parked right in front of the parkig meter on Long Beach Blvd and in front of the building door. If you type the address they give, it'll take you to the Westin Hotel location and you'll have to walk around a bit. The security pointed to the 2nd elevators to go on and up to the 6th floor. There are multiple signs that directs you where the office is, so it's very easy to find. There are metered-parking surrounding the building on the 3 perimeters that I know of (on streets of Long Beach Blvd, Elm Ave, and 1st St....I'm not sure if Ocean Blvd has parking). FREE metered-parking before 9am!!!! But I read from other yelpers, it's $1 for 1 hour!?! I came a 3 min late and they called me before some other people who had an appointment at a later time, which is really nice. So I think depending on the officer that is helping you it may take between 15-30 min. During my interview, it took 30 min, but it was because we were just chatting and having a conversation. My interview was really relaxed, no pressure, he just asked where I had traveled and that was pretty much it. I didn't need the Conditional Letter, but I suggest you print it out just in case. Look online how to print it out, I had to look to see. It's under "Notifications" when you login to your account. you click on the Conditional Letter and you can print it. I brought my proof of residency too, but he didn't look at that either. ***but just bring the required stuff per stated on their website*** They fingerprinted me and took my picture, so make sure you look your photo best that day. read more

Enter on Long Beach Boulevard side, take the second set of elevators and go up to floor 6. You'll see signs pointing you to the Global Entry Suite 670. I came in to update my last name on my passport, and was in-and-out in around 15 minutes. I didn't have an appointment as you can't make one for my circumstance, but I came early and there was no line. There are four metered 24 min spots right in front, and if those are taken there's additional parking on 1st Street. read more

Wow that was easy! I walked in 30mins early, checked in with the front desk, and as I was sitting down, one of the officers saw me and asked me to go with him. He proceeded to ask me some questions, got my fingerprints, handed me a pamphlet, and told me my card will be in the mail in about 2 weeks. Fast and easy! And the officer was very nice =))) As for parking, if you don't mind a 7min walk, there is a 2hrs free parking structure (without validation) on 3rd, between Long Beach Blvd and Pine Ave. It's roughly a 3-4 block walk. read more

Fantastic! Since I was just getting my name changed (from maiden to married ) I did not have to have an appointment. For those who don't know the process : Just make sure you update your name on your passport and bring the new passport with you. When you come in you just need let the gal behind the desk that you are there to change your name and she can do it for you. It took her less than 3 minutes, I was in and out of the building in about 5 minutes. I paid for 2 hrs at the metered and had lunch at the Westin Hotel next door. A friend of mine got her global entry done here and with an appointment she was in and out in about 30 minutes. It was pretty packed when I got in there, but there were multiple offices and officers interviewing so I'm sure it went by very fast. Parking is metered parking only. read more

Yay global entry!! I have heard rave reviews about having this travel status, and I am so excited. Parking - Meter parking or park in the structure. Honestly, I didn't know how much time I had to pay for, but the meters are only $1/hour. There is a 24 minutes street parking area right in front of the main entrance, but your visit may be longer than 24 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes early, but they were able to interview me right away. The process was so quick! The officer will ask general questions and take your photo. Seeing that I have to do some travel this year, I decided to join the Global Entry crowd. I filled out the application online and paid my $100 and waited patiently for them to send me a conditional approval so I could make my appointment. Amazingly, one of the options for my interview happened to be a block from work so I jumped on it. Showing up a couple minutes before my appointment, I was seen right on time and after some corrections to my application, a picture, and some finger print scanning, I was out of there within 10 minutes. The day has finally came, after months of waiting and not wanting to go to LAX. There is plenty of street metered parking around the block! If you are able get an appointment before 9am FREE PARKING! Or I believe its $1 a hour still cheap nonetheless. Even though you would only need like 20 minutes (being very gracious). I kinda got lost locating the office. The entrance is on Long Beach Blvd, as soon as you walk in the hallway it is on the left hand side. Walk straight through past the first elevator and take the elevator to the 6th floor. Then there will be signs directing you to office. You press a button and you get buzzed in. I arrived about 15 minutes early and they still took me in early. I sat down, showed my ID/Passport/ (Utility bill since my address isn't updated on my ID). They also asked for the conditional letter, but said it was okay that I didn't have it. Few questions and got my picture taken and left. I kinda felt cheated, I drove for a hour and the interview was less than 5 minutes. Oh well! No more waiting in line! HIGHLY recommend this location. Google Maps directed us to 333 Westin instead of 301. The buildings are next to each other. Park at metered parking on First St ($1/hr for 2 hrs max). There is also garage parking ($15 daily max) with entrance on First St as well. We entered the building on First St (really confusing how the street address is E Ocean Blvd). Walk all the way back, passing the first set of elevators on your right. Take the second bank of elevators to 8th floor. Turn right as you get off the elevator and the Customs and Border Patrol Office is in front of you. Bring snacks or eat before you come. There's a coffee shop and deli in the plaza but it's slim pickings for office workers who don't have time to go anywhere else. There weren't that many people there for their appointment but each appointment goes quite slowly. Bring something to do. read more

Excellent service! I showed up early for my appointment and waited less than 10 minutes to be seen. The actual appointment took about 5 minutes total. Have your documents (ID, passport, conditional letter, and proof of residence, if address is different from ID) ready, then there is a quick photo and digital finger prints. That's it! All of the staff/officers were courteous and helpful. Street parking was easy and cheap ($1/hour). The street meters take credit cards. The entrance to the building is on Long Beach Bl (not Ocean). Great Experience that I had coming into US Customers and Border Protection. $100 Dollars for the Global Entry Card that lasts up to 4 years and up to your birthday on the fifth year. Police officer was very helpful and kind, I truly enjoyed the experience. Parking was free and convenient right outside of the outside d/t arriving easy before 9AM which is the cut off. I was the first one to arrive at 6:30AM for my 7AM appointment. I was seen right away and it was a wonderful experience. I received my Global Entry card within 1 week. I recommend anyone to come to receive their Global Entry/ TSA. Don't forget to bring your Passport, Drivers license, Address Verification if different from Drivers license, etc. read more

May 1st - applied & paid online May 8th - conditional approval May 15th - interview at Long Beach US Customs office May 17th - final approval The employees at this location are friendly and efficient. Trinh interviewed me and my teenage son and he was very nice. We waited in the waiting room for 10 minutes and the interview lasted 10 minutes. Total time = 20 minutes on a weekday at 2 p.m. The LAX location is closer to my home, but I couldn't get an interview appointment before my trip. I was able to get an appointment in Long Beach within a week. There wasn't any street parking so I parked in the Shoreline Square parking structure (entrance on 1st Street) and paid $3 = $1.50 per 15 minutes. Highly recommend this location! *For California drivers who found it impossible to book a DMV appointment for a REAL ID - the Global Entry ID card is a valid REAL ID. read more

Best in LA/OC Area!!! When I was first conditionally approved, i tried setting up an appointment but noticed nothing was showing in around LA area as available. I got an email about 3 days later stating more dates and times available. I checked and Long Beach was showing available next day. Everything was super easy. Technically you are going to the Westin Hotel, but heading to the 6th floor. I parked in their parking structure since the meter parking on Ocean was a bit full. I recommend using meter parking behind Westin (didnt actually notice that meter parking till i left). Everyone was nice and I was in n out within 10 minutes. I dont usually write reviews. Figured they were worth the mention. Like someone else mentioned here, the DMV can learn a thing or two. Keep up the good work. read more

The location is right by the water. The office is located conveniently on the 6th floor and has signs that leads you to the specific suite. The staff, specifically, Denise is super nice and friendly and very helpful with any questions you may have. Showed up on Thursday and appt time took less than 5 minutes. I was here a couple Fridays ago. The building and the office were easy to find. The check-in staff and the officer were pleasant and efficient, so from check-in to finishing up the whole process with the officer only took 15 minutes. I did meter parking. I like this office but I wish LAX reopen service for Global Entry registration so I don't have to drive all the way from West LA to Long Beach the next time I need administrative work completed. read more

I came here for a global entry appointment right after the government shutdown- I think the hardest part was finding the building (on the corner of ocean, on the other side of The Westin and Elm street). I walked in to the 6th floor about 15 min late for my appointment and walked out in about 3 min, approved and they told me I should be receiving a confirmed approval email in 24 hours. Very different experience than all the horror stories I've heard about LAX.... Definitely recommend scheduling your Global Entry enrollment appointment here! read more

Scheduled 3 appointments for Global Entry after the government shutdown. Officer Russo is so nice to let all of us go to his office together. Everything went on smoothly and he is very polite and friendly. Thank you to all officers for working on a Saturday, after the shutdown to accommodate all those interviews that were cancelled. I followed the other reviews to park in Elm Street and walk towards the intersection of Long Beach and Ocean Blvd. The entrance of the building is located at Long Beach Blvd. You will see the big 301 number on the building and won't miss it. You need to go up to the 6th floor and just follow the signs. Press a button/doorbell on the side of the door and they will let you in. We were in and out for about 15 minutes. When we got home I checked the status online at CBP/ Trusted Traveler Program and all of them are approved. :) Update: Didn't received the approval email but received the card in less than a week. Got conditionally approved for Global Entry and scheduled my interview here. The building is on the intersection of Ocean & Long Beach Blvd. in downtown Long Beach. There aren't too many meters available in the block vicinity so expect to go closer to Pine or pay more at the surrounding lots. My appt was at 5:15pm but I showed up about 20 minutes early. Literally waited 2 min. and interview took 5 min. and I was out with my Email confirmation as soon as I got out of the elevator. Easy process and all the officers are nice. Highly suggest going here opposed to LAX. read more

Super fast and easy!! Check out the yelp photos and take the second set of elevators to the 6th floor. Follow the signs to the right and through some hallways and boom you're in. I had an appointment at 730 but they open at 7 and they took me in earlier! Also parking! If there are no cars where you are parking check and see if there is street cleaning that day. Not worth getting towed or getting a ticket. I met with Trinh who was super nice. He told me most of these workers don't work here all the time and they rotate to different places. Take fingerprints Take photos Answer some easy questions and that's it. Regardless the dmv can learn a thing or two from this place. Most pleasant experience ever. The whole office is lovely and helpful. Officer Campos is super professional and explain all the details. If you are lucky, you can park at the street at $1 per two hours. Nice experience. Arrived 30 minutes before my appointment hoping to get in earlier, but they called me right at my appointment time so I definitely would not recommend coming early as they do not validate parking and it's $1.50 per 15 minutes. From Elm, I walked TOWARDS E Ocean Blvd and took a RIGHT and another RIGHT at Long Beach Blvd. Entered the building and was directed to the FAR elevators against the wall. At the 8th floor, I was greeted by the Customs officer who escorted me to their new office at Suite 670 (changed from Suite 805). My appointment was for 3PM, and I was out by 310PM! Fingerprinted, picture, and machine tutorial. The entrance is on the corner of Long Beach Blvd & Ocean Blvd. Bring: Document of conditional approval, passport, proof of residence. Infinite stars for being able to call the office & have a HUMAN BEING answer the phone!! I was able to ask a question about the proof of residence requirement. read more

I have had an awful experience dealing with the LB Seaport officers in-person and over the phone the last several months, and I strongly urge others to not come to this location for Global Interview interviews. My interview was bad from the start, and the officer absolutely grilled me on my past (this was odd since I don't have a record and am an incredibly low-risk traveler). He then pressed even deeper on recent trips abroad (this is Global Entry mind you - isn't that the point?) and had a major issue with a 100% completely legitimate trip to Cuba in May 2017 (WHEN IT WAS LEGAL). He then gave me issues while taking my picture as well as fingerprints, and he did not answer any follow-up questions I had when the 'interview' wrapped up. Needless to say, I was not immediately approved as others had been, including my wife who went to the LAX La Cienega location, and I knew something was wrong as soon as I left. Even the front desk/admin nonchalantly told me to 'just give it a few days' and that I'd 'get an email.' Well, I waited over a week with no response from CBP, and I tried calling the LB Seaport phone # during business hours to no avail. I left several voicemails, and I FINALLY received a call back from someone over 2 weeks after the interview stating that my application was under 'supervisory review' (was I seriously just supposed to figure that out on my own?). She declined to give any other specifics, so I had to guess as to what the issue was (probably Cuba?). I then called back numerous times again trying to see what I can do to show them how legitimate the trip was, and I finally received an email address where I could send the travel documents. After emailing several attachments proving legitimacy to their inbox, I received little to no response from their side other than 'it's under review.' No way they would deny me, right? Wrong - I received an automated email over 4 weeks after my interview stating that I was denied for not having the correct docs for the COMPLETELY LEGAL Cuba trip in May 2017. Now I get to appeal to the ombudsman which can take up to a year, and it's completely out of my hands. While all this was going on, my wife had an incredibly easy time working with the LAX La Cienega location over the phone and in-person, and they approved her immediately (with the same travel itinerary - Cuba included - as me). AVOID LB Seaport AT ALL COSTS. read more

I literally just came back from this location. I definitely heard the horrors of a 5 month delay of people not being able to schedule their global entry interview and even waiting for an hour once you have a scheduled interview. But fear not travelers, if you're trying to get a fast and efficient global entry interview, this location is where you should schedule your interview. I have never seen such efficiency and courtesy from any government employee before. Like the idiot that I was, I misplaced my conditional letter of approval and they still allowed me to proceed with the interview (don't forget it, peeps). I brought my passport and various forms for proof of residency. I came early for my appt, hoping they would take me in early (they did), since there were several individuals that who did not make their appt. The process COULD not have taken more than 10 minutes. I went in, he checked my passport, asked a few questions regarding the purpose of my application, took my fingerprints, and wished me a nice day. I absolutely appreciate the employees here. I would always recommend people to complete their interview here, if they have a slot available. Additionally, I parked maybe 2 blocks away for free, since there was free parking before 9 am. TIP: schedule your appt before 9 and park for free a little further away, at most, it was a 10 minute walk and the appt went by incredibly fast. I took more time walking to the building than being in the building for the appt. read more

This review is for global entry interview. So, you're required to bring letter of approval, passport and mail proof of residency to the appointment. I had the latter two but was not able to print a hard copy of the letter of approval. I called the facility and first of all was surprised to hear an actual live person picking up... None of those automated rerouting menus. Secondly, I asked if I could show my saved letter from my phone and was told yes. Again I was pleasantly surprised. For some reason, I was expecting them to be as rigid and frustrating as dmv... Not the case here thank God! My appointment was scheduled for 4:15 pm Friday at Long Beach. I was still stuck in dtla at 3:30pm and as usual...LA traffic. For sure I wouldn't be able to make it until at least 4:45pm. I panicked and called them again and was told that as long as I show up that day before 5:30pm closing, I would still get my interview. Finally pulled up in front of the building at a 24 min meter at 4:45pm. Threw in the max 24 min worth of quarters and bolted upstairs to the 8th floor. There's a list of names with your scheduled time. Mine was the first on the list that was not crossed off since I was 30 min late. There were about 6 other people already sitting there waiting. I panicked again, not knowing if my appointment was going to be pushed to after all these people... Not knowing if I have enough time in the meter. Luckily an officer showed up at the window. I explained my situation and he took me right away. I asked him how long the interview was going to take and if I need more time in the meter...He said it's really quick and I'll be fine. Sure enough, he checks through the passport, the letter of approval, asks a few travel questions, takes photo and finger prints, explains the program, double check mailing address and then done! I was out 5 min before my meter was up! Took a total of 15 min! Received my global entry code email by the time I reached my car. You get your physical card in the mail few weeks later but you won't need it for travel as long as you have the code. It was efficient. People were helpful. I'm happy. Also just a side note... Parking in the garage is $15. If you're on time, there's longer street parking around the neighborhood. read more

Went on a Thursday morning and got there 15 mins early. There was no street parking available so I parked at the Westin hotel on 1st street. Global entry is located on the 6th floor with lots of large signs pointing you in the right direction so you can't miss it. Front desk was friendly and so was the agent who interviewed me. It was a very relaxed interview. There was no pressure whatsoever. She asked a few questions, finger printed me, then I was out the door all within 10 mins. I was dreading the drive to Long Beach but this location is definitely worth it. Awesome service. read more

Review for global entry application in specific: Fir glibal entry, they are located on the 8th floor. The service was fast, easy and efficient. As you entered to the signed in area, there is a list of names already printed there in the orders of your appointment time. You just need to sign your name next to it and put in your arrival time. Our appointment was 2:15. We arrived at 1:55, but we were done and out by 2:15pm including all wait time. There was maybe 1 - 2 people ahead of us ( on the list) when we arrived. And there are couple more people signed in but for a later appointment time after us ( further down the list), but we still get called first. So I would say don't come too early or ahead of your appointment time or else you just gotta wait unless you get lucky. Once you get called in, it's pretty straight forward. The officers were friendly, they asked for the required documents, take picture, finger prints etc. Then the approval or not will sent thru email. Actual card came in mail in coupe of weeks. I definetly think the long beach location for global entry application is a bit less wait. It has a shorter wait time for interview after the online application than the LAX one. But still about 2 to 3 months wait. So plan your interview early if you are traveling soon! read more

I chose this location for my Global Entry interview appointment and I was SO pleased that I was in and out of there in 15 minutes. My appointment was at 1:45 PM and I was able to park in the meter spots close by. You walk in the building and take the furthest set of elevators to the 8th Floor. Look for your name in the sign-in sheet and check-in and they'll call you. Officer Chavez handled my interview and they'll buzz you in from the door around the outside corner. The actual "office" is a very small room with 2 desks crammed in there. I brought my passport and printed acceptance letter but he only looked at my passport, asked a few questions (if I had any trouble with the law, home address, occupation etc), digitally scanned fingerprints, and took my picture. That's it! What a pleasant surprise :) I'd recommend this location if you're closer, otherwise the next location is at LAX. read more

I booked my appointment for 7:45 because the parking meters on the street are free before 9:00 am. I highly recommend going to this place, rather than the airport for your global entry card. I've never had any experience with US Customs before (bedsides going in and out of the country) but all the officers at this location were SO nice! We went in to do interviews for Global Entry applications and I was expecting a long wait, but it ended up being really quick and painless. They even waited for my husband after hours) he drove all the way from downtown LA and traffic ended up being horrible so he was late), which they totally did not have to do. We'll definitely come back here when it's time to renew. Just make sure to leave enough time before your appointment for parking, there's some directly in front of the building but it's short-term so might not be enough time. read more

Highly highly highly recommend if you're trying to get a TSA pre check or Global Entry. Location can be a bit confusing. Just Google Maps it first before you go there. It's in Ocean and Long Beach Boulevard, pass Westin. Orange colored building. There will be a 301 sign beside the automatic glass door. Go in, take the elevator ( there are 2 sets of elevator) furthest from the entrance. Go the 6th floor, follow the signs for Global Entry. Push the door bell and check in with front desk. Easy, breezy. If you live close by, just Uber so you don't have to worry about parking. read more
