My daughter has been going to the Chantilly location for almost four months now and she looks forward to each class. She has had several instructors due to make up lessons and all of them are engaging and thoughtful. My daughter loves drawing and art. I appreciate the feedback that the instructors provide. They really work with the kids to build on their skills. I do think this place is a little more expensive compare to other art programs but each session is two hours long and the kids really bring home amazing work. I can see slight improvement with my daughter's skills with each work she brings home. read more

We are very grateful for the education and support that teachers and staff at US Arts Chantilly and Vienna have provided my daughter through her journey of growing as an artist. She was lucky to have lovely teachers like Ms. Nina and Mr. Kelly to trained her on the fundamentals and build a great foundation. Ms. Hyunsuk and Ms. Francy pushed her limits, challenged her thinking, and encouraged her to explore all kinds of ideas. Being part of Portfolio Pro class, my daughter spent 10-12 hours a week at US Arts working on her portfolio. The administrative staff worked on ensuring she was able to get face time with the right teachers during her evolution. Ms. Francy, with her background in higher ed, mentored through the admissions process and brought colleges to campus creating opportunities to exhibit. I have been part of the US Arts Center for five years and am very grateful for all the help I received from my teachers, especially Ms. Nina Utruga. Ms. Nina helped me build my portfolio, teaching me watercolor, acrylic, and gouache skills. Without her help, I would not have been able to grow as an artist and create amazing artwork. We really love this art school, it's the best one around DC area, and a great place for children to train art skills, cultivate imagination and creativity, and play for fun. The classes are organized by student levels, the teachers and staffs keep monitoring the progresses of students and arrange them in corresponding classes based on evaluation. US Arts also has portfolio class for high school students to prepare college application. US Arts held meeting with my daughter and me to determine a list of target colleges and identify the requirements of each college, and helped my daughter in preparing portfolio according to the specific requirements of each college, my daughter already got offer from an ivy league college. I have been a student at US Arts Center for seven years, and attending its classes has been wonderful for me! US Arts has such a rich curriculum for all ages. The center fosters creative thinking and freedom, enables students to explore various media (including pastels, clay, graphite pencil, ink, acrylic, watercolor, gouache), and encourages them to explore various art styles (contemporary, realism, surrealism, minimalism). I so much appreciate how the teachers support and nurture their students' growth above and beyond, and I truly care for the connections I make with my classmates during class. Even now, when the pandemic makes it so that classes are online via Zoom, my teachers' support have never waivered. They always offer their help in various situations, whether it's accessing the Zoom meeting or pulling up ideas on Pinterest for a future project. The director, Mrs. Zhao, and Ms. Xiaoyi helped greatly in choosing, assembling, and putting together high-quality photos of my artworks for my portfolio for school applications. I am deeply grateful for them. Art is my greatest passion, and US Arts has been with me through it all--from my drawing of Jack and the Beanstalk on my very first day to winning Scholastic Gold and Silver Keys for my artworks. My 3 kids have been going to US Arts Chantilly for years. They have learned so much there. US Arts is very well run and organized. They not only have a systematic curriculum that teaches children progressive but comprehensive skills, but also make learning fun and interesting.
