All the classes are held in the same open studio but in different areas. They offer complimentary snacks and tea. They have one restroom available in the studio. Book online in advance. I called to inquire about a military discount and the owner answered and provided me with a discount code. They give you about 2-2.5 hours to decorate your lamp. Our instructor Kayla gave us step by step instructions and was available for help as needed. You choose your size lamp you want when booking online, however if you decide when you arrive to choose a different style/size they can easily change it and you pay the difference on the spot. You have a choice of a variety of colored tiles and they have a template of various designs to choose from or you can design your own. You also get to choose the colors for your filler beads. Once your lamp is completed, the instructor attached the bulb and the base and she lines up everyone's lamps lit up. It was a cool experience to do for my birthday, someone else was celebrating theirs as well. Although make sure you bring your patience, focus and best fine motor skills! Although, i'm not local - we drove up 3.5 hours, they do have some other pretty neat workshops to try.

Paced the class well and generally just well done. Second time I went with my wife and our ten year old daughter to do the flowers with Xander. Another great experience with different techniques and again well done with just enough help mixed with freedom to work. We are already looking for more family blacksmithing classes to do. As a note, when I went in December it was a perfect temperature inside with the heat as it was cold outside. In April... even on a cooler day it was very hot inside (which is not a surprise given the heat of the fires) so make sure to dress safely but appropriately. They do have water cups and a refill station for bottles as well as ice for when you are too warm and need to cool off. Well done and other than I wish it was closer to me, zero complaints.

It's could be a little overwhelming at first but everything was explained so well and the entire project was broken down into easily achievable steps. And if you get stuck the instructor is right there to help you. Our instructor was Kyle. He was not overbearing or boring at all! His enthusiasm and encouragement went a long way towards making us feel comfortable. Plus he offered some expert help to make our knives go from butter basic to pointy kitchen. Some need to know info - everything is provided (protective eye wear, aprons, gloves and I did see ear plugs). They have cups and a water fountain but I would probably bring my own water bottle. There are breaks. There are bathrooms that are clean. It is very loud. It is hot. It is hard work and you will most likely be sore the next day. It could be addictive.

This business did a camp at our kids school and had to be supervised at the end of camp as the…read moreemployees were acting in manners so inconsistent with the schools values that the administrator and teachers did not feel comfortable leaving the instructors with the kids. The instructors were yelling at the kids to the point teachers were hearing it throughout the school. The instructors kept making statements about the kids not looking at them like "they were stupid" or "dont act like you're stupid." What made it even worse was this employees behavior was excused and the owner said she was regretful. This behavior shows prejudice and is not a simple mistake when the instructors make this statement over and over for a 6 hour class.
