I really have enjoyed this chiropractic office. The staff is excellent. Dr Serna is wonderful. She has always helped me adjust my aches and release tension. I went in initially for my lower back and she has helped me feel relief. I have learned how I need to adjust my body so I can get out of bed without pain. I can't say enough how great of a place this is. Everyone from Nancy in the front to the doctors are all knowledgeable, pleasant and amazing. The facility is always clean, welcoming and sterile. We initially came across this place when my daughter needed her sports exam release a day before her High school race. I had scheduled with a different facility but when we showed up to the appointment that office was closed with no notice in advance. After a frantic search on goggle and yelp we found "Urteaga Chiropractic". They were one of the few facilities that did the exam at a reasonable price. I showed up 15 minutes before they closed and they agreed to see us last minute once I explained my daughter had a race the next day. They did the exam and signed the clearance release. When leaving I realized they also specialize in sports medicine and rehab. I was able to schedule an appointment for my daughter who plays double sports year around and has been suffering from a bad case Patellar Tendinitis on her knee. Honestly, they have been god sent. Dr. Swift has gone above and beyond working with my daughter in getting her knee back to health. She is so patient and transparent about the recovery process and what it will look like. She takes the time to listen and explain. My daughter also appreciates her background in sports once being an athlete herself. It makes her more relatable. I also come myself for weekly adjustments. I suffer from chronic headaches and have since then decreased. I can't recommend this place enough read more

I went to Urteaga after trying a different chiropractor in Pomona. I wanted to try at least two different clinics since I had never had any chiropractic work before and didn't know what to expect. The care I received at both clinics was broadly similar, but I felt that Urteaga was more professional overall. The relatively large staff at Urteaga was quite capable, well-trained, and polite, and the facilities (at Irwindale) were far nicer than the other clinic I visited in Pomona. Dr. Urtega listened very carefully to my issues and provided an initial treatment. At this point, I'm not able to say how effective the treatment is or will be; I think several additional treatments will be required. In addition, I plan to combine my chiropractic care with massage therapy, as some of my problems are soft tissue injuries. This is another advantage at Urteaga, as it's possible to get both chiropractic work and massage therapy at the same place. I don't think there are many places that have both. Fortunately, too, Urteaga is part of the American Health Specialists network, so I was able to have my insurance with Kaiser cover my treatment (with a co-pay). read more

I came across Urteaga Chiropractor in Irwindale, California, on a Google search. I was looking into a chiropractor for my daughter for a recent injury while playing soccer. I called, and right away, I noticed the friendly staff. Nancy helps and answers any questions to the best of her knowledge. She always has a smile on her face. The doctor did examine my daughter for her injury playing sports, but meanwhile, down the road, my daughter was having pain in her jaw. The doctor was also able to examine her (nothing to do with her soccer injury) and was able to make her cheek muscle and jaw pain feel better. She was also given exercises to do. The exercises did and still help her. I recommend this Irwindale establishment if you like friendly staff, a clean environment, and great music stations. Then after signing in, I was greeted by Dr. Kirsten Chanthavong who led me to a clean examination room. I explained that my shoulder was in great need of help.
