I called Mr.Ursch to see if he made house calls, HE DID!!
I spoke to Mr.Ursch for some time and explained my mother had a grandfather clock in need of repair and that my sisters and brothers wanted to do this for her as a gift. The clock hadn't worked for some time.
He met us all at mothers house and he spent much time trying to get the clock running. He did get it running and we all waited to see what would happen and it stopped again. Again, Mr.Ursch took the movement out and showed us all what was worn and needed fixed. He gave us options we could replace the movement with a new one and more then likely would need modified to work properly in case or we could have him overhaul it. We all agreed to the overhaul. That way it would be original and not need modified to fit properly.
I told Mr.Ursch that mother was sick and might not be with us much longer. I could see in his eyes he understood. He explained he had lost his only child. So I knew he could relate to how important this was to myself and my family to do this for mother.
A few weeks went by and I called Mr.Ursch and told him that we had to bring hospice in for mother and whatever he could do to get the movement working. We would appreciate it very much. Not but 3 days later Mr.Ursch called and said he was ready to deliver and set clock up. He came that afternoon! When he was done and we all heard the clock chime it brought tears to my eyes and to see the smile on mother's face was PRICELESS!!
MY FAMILY AND I ARE ALL SO GRATEFUL TO MR.URSCH FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU!!
I called Mr.Ursch a week later to let him know that mother had passed away and how grateful all of us are that for her last week with us she got to hear her beautiful grandfather clock chime. Mr.Ursch truly cares about family and is a master at his craft in my eyes. read more
