After a year of talks and tests, he persuaded me to have my prostate surgically removed. A year and a half after the surgery, my frequent-urination problem had not improved. His only advice was to have patience; sometimes bladders took a "long time" to "settle down" after a surgery. I consulted my family-practice physician. He figured out that the frequent-urination problem was not caused by something with my bladder or prostate. It was caused by high blood-sugar (diabetes). After I changed my diet and started taking diabetic medicine, my urination problem went away. How is it possible that after years of medical school, and more years of being a practical urologist, Dr. Ruff was unable to imagine an alternative explanation for an old man's frequent-urination problem other than that it was caused by a malfunctioning bladder/prostate? I can only think of two possible explanations. Either he is deeply stupid, or does not care about the welfare of his patients. My advice: stay away from him.

She was doing her best to help him out but he was not letting up on his passive aggressive behavior towards her. The lady working the front desk never lost her cool and remained professional. Then there were 2 other much older gentlemen who came in and were confused about various things. The front desk was so patient, understanding, and willing to assist them. I was extremely impressed with both ladies demeanor, professionalism, and patience. And of course, my appointment with Dr. Ashley Blackshare. She is simply amazing and the best.

I hope I can keep seeing this guy as he's good, attentive and relatable. Since I started coming here about 2 years ago they keep passing me off to different doctors when I schedule a visit. No consistency and no personable experience can be had when they're constantly changing physicians. Andrew was definitely the diamond in the rough, so I plan to insist on seeing him from now on or I'll start looking to their competitors. Only thing left to address is their booking staff and the inconsiderate and thoughtless practices. I made a complaint months ago and nobody has addressed it with me yet how they can justify rescheduling my appointment without my consent. They ended up wasting a full-day of my PTO and the 90 minute- 2hour round trip.

She commented on whatever she was focused on (which I also can't recall), which I was confused by. Usually, "Hello, I'm so-and-so." are how normal humans greet one another. I came to her as a middle aged man with recent abnormal growths on my anatomy that sometimes means cancer. I was scared to death, out of work and also without insurance, so I was paying a significant out of pocket just to speak with her. After her examination she told me it was benign, in a scoffing manner. As if I somehow bothered her with my request for help. As if I was some hypochondriac in her office daily. TBH I wasn't even sure what benign meant entirely, but she seemed so annoyed at me, I just wanted to get out there as quickly as possible. If you want to be treated like cattle, you'll find the care here sufficient. The front desk and nurse staff were pros, however.

I was a new patient of Dr. Aleman and have only *attempted* working with her and her office since…read morethe last couple of months. It ended today in flames and Exceedingly Unprofessionally. I came to her to get a much needed surgery. We agreed on a date (June 21) but she didn't tell me next steps. I waited a week to hear back and had to call them myself to get an answer. I was told I was "tentatively" on the surgery schedule but they were needing confirmation from the hospital and they would give me a call about it when they knew. I never got a call, had to call Again Myself and was told the same thing, that it was "tentative" and someone would be calling me about it from her office. I had to call them Again and at this point all the RED FLAGS are definitely UP It's a week out and I was told the hospital would be calling me THE DAY BEFORE to confirm everything. I said well that's crazy because no one has even freaking CONFIRMED this for me not to mention I have NO COST ESTIMATE. So I said well at this point can you please tell me what dates you have in August (because Dr. Aleman would be out all of July). I said please hold that June date for me until I figure out when your next availability is. Then the icing on the cake this morning I FINALLY get a call back from them telling me Dr. Aleman is on the other end to speak to me herself. I was relieved thinking we would finally get this all cleared up! Dr. Aleman answers and IMMEDIATELY starts REAMING me OUT (before even letting me get a word in edgewise) saying "IT'S PATIENTS LIKE YOU THAT MAKE ME WANT TO START CHARGING EVERY TIME YOU CANCEL A SURGERY DATE! I HAVE MOVED PATIENTS AND MY SCHEDULE AROUND JUST FOR YOU AND NOW YOU WANT TO CANCEL." I was literally floored/stunned. Never in my long history of working with doctors offices and scheduling (MANY) surgeries have I had SO UNprofessional of an interaction with not just a doctor's staff but the doctor HERSELF/HIMSELF! I literally started crying right there on the phone (because I have been in SO much pain and needing this surgery for years actually now). I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude and tried explaining my situation. I wasn't even trying to CANCEL this last minute I simply wanted to reschedule until I could freaking get some more communication about it!!! Her office acted like no patient ever asks for these things! Dr. Aleman blamed it on her having a "small practice" with no billing department, etc. And she suggested I try to work with another office. Well you better believe I COMPLETELY agreed with her!!! I recommend staying FAR away from this office especially if you intend to have a surgery with Dr. Aleman. You can have the smallest office in the world but it doesn't mean you can't maintain professionalism and kindness ALWAYS.

Update: lowering my score as I've seen three physicians here, felt rushed or lack of info on each visit, usually you're given up to 15 minutes with a doctor per most insurance plans but here you only get 5. It's been a consistent trend. I went hoping to get information but instead I was brushed off and given a prescription that I didn't even need. I've been coming here for over ten years on and off and it's just gotten so much worse. Dr Mobley heard my situation for less than five minutes and said "if it's not bothering you don't worry about it" and rushed off as I tried to say it was bothering me. Saw dr Jones and again less than five minutes, just wrote a prescription that I didn't even need and finally ordered some test. Then I see his nurse practitioner to go over the notes and she to time with me but she made a suggestion that previous doctors told me would be bad for me and kept going on about it even after I said it was a bad idea and I've already done it. We had to wait for more results. She was supposed to call me with the final results. Two weeks later and I got a call from someone else telling me to make a telehealth appointment. I've already seen three doctors there, paid all my bills, was told I'd receive a call with results. This place really doesn't have its ish together. I decided to look up the owners and it seems it's private equity. I really feel that the doctors are being forced to burn and churn.

No matter how many times I had health insurance changes, I always made sure I would be able to see Dr. Kravitz. I've had other doctors in other cities, but no one came close to Dr. Kravitz's knowledge (26+ years of practice), professional demeanor, and personability. He is knowledgeable on so many topics, and I know I'm able to ask him anything. And you know what? He listens. It's that simple. He sets your chart down, he looks at you, and he listens. Some doctors are just so harried they don't take the time to really let you explain what's happening or how you feel. It really does make the difference. We forget how important it is for a doctor to relate to his patients. I've seen doctors who have been cold, indifferent, uninterested in anything except performing an examination or treating whatever was wrong at the time. Sure, that's fine, but it's the bare minimum; it doesn't set me at ease. When I'm sick, and I'm concerned, Dr. Kravitz demonstrates a level of empathy I've yet to see in another doctor. It also helps he has a sense of humor! Even if he does not accept my insurance, I would only want to have him as my primary care physician. He's known me for years, and knows my medical history better than anyone. I hope to stick with him as long as I can. If you are looking for a new doctor in the area, you will NOT be disappointed.
