Jeanie was so sweet to my dog and family. You can tell she doesn't work there for personal gain and that she loves animals.

They killed my dog!! I had a beautiful 1 year old cavalier . She ate one grape . We brought here with in 40 min of eating the grape . They treated her with charcoal & tons of Fluid. She started seizing about 1 hour after we left here. No dog can die in 3.5 hours from eating a grape . I've asked over the phone and stopped by in person to speak to a manager , no one has called me back and it's been a month + . No one wants to be held accountable for their mistake. After they heard my dog died they sent a follow up email saying leaving the clinic was "against medical advise" except they never once used those words with me in the clinic. read more

We had no idea urgent vet was a thing, but we're so glad we found it. We scheduled an appointment online and someone came out to help us right when we walked in. We were immediately taken back to a room where they asked the standard questions and Dr. Kline promptly came in. The reason for our visit was to get our foster dog help for his prior tail injury that was bleeding and infected. We explained our situation to them and were quoted an initial price of between $200 to almost $500 if he needed meds to calm down. We asked them to do their best to forgo the calming meds since he was a foster dog after all and we were paying out of our own pocket. They were able to get him taken care of without the calming meds and the final price came out to lower than the lower end quote, which we greatly appreciated. Dr. Kline was amazing and took her time answering all our questions and made suggestions on a better cone for him. She even wrote a script to keep him calm if he panicked in the cone. I greatly appreciated that she allowed us to get it filled elsewhere since it's a medication humans can take as well and it's much cheaper at grocery stores. They were prompt, courteous, and most importantly, helped our foster dog actually be able to lay down to get some rest. We wouldn't hesitate to come here again if needed! read more

Came here bc they offered after hours and my cat had some questionable symptoms going on after he ran into a wall earlier in the day. They were able to take me back quickly, I barely got to fill out the iPad at sign in and was asked a series of questions before the doc came in to assess. Dr Wise was super thorough in examining my cat, I liked that he didn't just use a flashlight to check my cats eyes but an eyescope to assess behind the eyes for any damage, bc my cat had a minor difference in pupil sizes at one point in the day (they did return to normal). He was able to put my mind at ease after he told me his thoughts on what was going on and what to look for. I really appreciate the fact the exam was done in front of me and they didn't whisk him off to the back. Thankfully it was all minor we were charged for only exam fee which was $129, and we left. I appreciated the fact he didn't feel the need to push meds or unnecessary treatment so I would back here if necessary, but hopefully not! read more

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Urgent Vet in Prosper On 8/7/2024 I had a very disappointing experience at Urgent Vet in Prosper. The visit started with a high upfront fee of $125, which seemed excessive given that they couldn't diagnose anything without additional tests costing around $1200 for X-rays and blood work. My wife and I were at work, so my mother had to take our dog along with our two daughters to the appointment. I talked to someone on the phone and they were nice and I sure they are good people. Due to the high costs and the lack of a clear diagnosis, we decided to leave AMA (Against Medical Advice). As we were leaving, a tech made an incredibly insensitive comment in front of my 12-year-old daughter. The tech said, "Make sure you do something soon because if it's what they might think it is, the dog might die." This comment was not only unprofessional but also deeply upsetting for my daughter. The tech should have spoken to my mother privately if they had such serious concerns. Overall, the experience was distressing and felt more like a money grab than compassionate veterinary care. We expected better communication and consideration, especially given the high cost of the visit. Thank you for making an already stressful situation even worse. Update 8/8/2024 We took our dog to Durant animal hospital at 86 W. Mulberry St. Durant, OK 74701. They diagnosed our dog with the same thing Urgent Vet had diagnosed. She had a emergency spay operation. Our dog had to stay a extra day due to not eating and was released on 8/10/24. Our total for the entire care was $830. Who knows how much it would of been going thru Urgent Vet. read more

Sadly although we have been here twice, this visit has been absolutely awful. Every time we have come when they opened we were seen right away this time we waited over 40 min and as far as I could tell there wasn't anyone else here. To get an estimate and meds was another 45 min just to pay and leave. The room they had us in was hot and I asked them to please hurry due to the heat making me feel unwell and my son sweating and they didn't care and still took a long time. Highly recommend!! We went for the first time recently on a Saturday as our fur baby was having tummy issues. I was able to go online to choose a time on the day of. I was running a few minutes late however they were sending me text reminders and we were greeted by the very friendly nurse/tech (Heather) as soon as we walked in the door. We had to absolutely no wait. She took us straight to our room. Once she evaluated she consulted with the doctor and then he came in to evaluate and give his recommendation. He was so very friendly as well. They gave her an injection and prescribed some at home medication. This particular medication I was not looking forward to giving because I've had to give it before and the pills are huge and must taste terrible HOWEVER I learned there is a liquid form of this medication and they had it already measured out in syringes which made it so super easy to administer. I was so very pleased. This place was too good to be true so I imagined the bill would be ridiculously high but was so surprised that it was actually cheaper than a previous trip to our regular vet a few days before for an allergy shot and pills. It was an overall 5 star experience! We will definitely being using them again if/when we have an urgent situation. Great job, Urgent Vet of Prosper!! read more

Brace for impact! This place has good service but is CRAZY EXPENSIVE! Read all the way through what you sign up for. I feel abused!

This location is awful, drama can be heard through the doors and how Ashley wants the doctors to be fired and how she's glad she stole money mooched off of someone which makes me feel like she will take advantage of me and over charge me for her benefit. Don't go to this location at all. Frisco and West Plano locations are much better and have respectable staff that actually care about you and your fur baby. read more
