I am a Veteran I needed to see a doctor asap. The Va refered me to UrgentMed. I called ahead and was given easy instruction for the process for Veterans. I spoke with Frankie over the phone and it was Frankie that helped me the whole time there. I did not have to wait and entire staff was very friendly. They made a safety a top priority during these trying times. Dr. Hill saw me in a timely manner and also recommended that should get tested for Covid- 19......I did. It was done like clockwork. Nurses were great the Doctor not so much. I came in because my 5 year old daughter has a horrible cough and nothing was working. He came in checked her and then told my daughter to cough at me. And her just as confused as I was she coughed and he said "oh that's nothing to worry about." Of course not you made her cough when she didn't have to, that's not how she coughs when she actually need to coughs ?! I went in yesterday early in the morning around 9 am for a uti to get antibiotics. The doctor confirmed he would send in my prescription and when I went to my pharmacy they had no prescription. I called at 8 in the morning and Jose was very rude when I was explaining to him that I was in pain all night and possibly got a kidney infection due to waiting so long for my medication. He didn't seem to care or try to work with me. Why work in healthcare if you don't care about peoples well beings? 0/10 would not recommend read more

My daughter had to go have a small procedure done. Everyone was wonderful from the nurses to the Dr who treated my daughter. There is a woman who works in the front office, who was so rude and disrespectful though. My daughter had forgotten her debit card and we explained we'd be right back with the co pay. The woman appears to run the front office, but has no customer service skills. She is also very unprofessional. She tried to question why we both needed to leave the urgent Care. I told her we would be back, that we are good for thirty dollars. When my daughter came back 15 minutes later, she came in to hear the low class woman talking about us saying "They are not coming back" . Whoever hired this woman needs to know how she treats patients. She has no finesse. She shouldn't have gone out of her way to try to bully and harrass people. This was the best urgent care experience my family has had. We were taken immediately. The medical staff was efficient and courteous. We got a diagnosis and prescription immediately. They were sweet to my children. Some of them are veterans. We were in and out in half an hour with a solution that led to a speedy recovery. Woke up at 4AM with a UTI and couldn't go back to sleep because I was a slave to the toilet. I drove straight to CVS at 7AM to buy Azo Maximum Strength Urinary Pain Reliever since it had the best reviews. It didn't relieve any discomfort after two hours so I called UrgentMED to see if I could do a walk in for UTI treatment (at this point I'm crying from discomfort and lack of sleep). Planned Parenthood & most general doctors are closed on Sundays so URGENTMED SAVED MY LIFE. They were so quick, attentive, kind & offered me antibiotics prescription, shot & yeast infection pill in the event I would need it. Only needed to pay a copay of $35 with PPO insurance but I forgot to use the Yelp checkin for $5 off so don't forget! There were a few reviews that made me feel like I was going to receive bad customer service but I have NO COMPLAINTS. read more

I returned from a trip sick. It turned out I had strep throat and an extremely high fever. I didn't know what to do since I have no health insurance. I walked out of another urgent care facility because the parking garage was too crowded and the whole place looked daunting and confusing. I Googled best urgent care and read the reviews for Urgent Med and Dr. Hill. The care providers are all jovial, polite and helpful folks. Dr. Hill was perfectly wonderful and told me I also had an ear infection. The male nurse even asked me if I would prefer getting the shot from a female. The level of professionalism, the thoughtfulness and the calm, inviting atmosphere of this place eclipses all other urgent care experiences I have had in 15 years of living in the Los Angeles area. This is the best urgent care, ever! I have always gotten in and out of this office within an hour, without an appointment. The staff is so friendly. I have visited this location four times and each time I have seen a different doctor. Each doctor has taken their time to listen to me and provide feedback. Most recently I saw Dr. Hill and he was very cordial and helpful. After each visit, they have made a courtesy call to check on me the next day. I highly recommend this urgent care. read more

I am so thankful for UrgentMed and their amazing staff. I had an allergic reaction and was extremely scared. Didn't think I would make it to this facility in time. As soon as I walked in the door they could see something was wrong and took me in immediately. Last visit was a three star visit, but today's was six stars so I am giving this place a 4. We came in for a problem with my husband's toe (both times). We were seen promptly both times. The first doctor sent us home with antibiotics and told us to soak it. Two weeks later, it was still a problem. This time we were fortunate to get to see Dr. Hill and Gerson. This place is awesome! We went for a COVID test. Everything went very smoothly, and all the stuff were pleasant and professional. I was expecting to pay cash but they verified my insurance benefits even though it was a Sunday. As a result I only ended up paying the $15 co-pay. If I had had to pay cash, I felt their prices were quite reasonable. Kevin was the PA who directed our care. He was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent information. He was a pleasure to deal with, and provided excellent recommendations. We were in and out very quickly. We will definitely come again if we need urgent care services. read more

My children attend Polytechnic School and needed their annual physicals. We have a private physician, but he was booked up for months. Walked-In to Pasadena Urgent Care for my daughters' back to school medical physical and we were in and out in 20 minutes! They took my insurance. When we were leaving the good Dr. Ansari gave us ice cold water and told us that it was hot out there and to stay hydrated. His bedside manner was superb. He was thorough and kind! Unfortunately, this is the new management for the Lake St. Urgent Care clinic. Old management was fantastic. While I suppose my wound is healing on its own, still open 4 days later, I won't be going back. I can't walk without the cut popping open. I begged this clinic to clean and consider stitching a cut I received from pruning shears. They put me in a room without a sink and used a syringe and a bucket to 'rinse' the wound. They didn't know where their disinfecting materials were, doctor couldn't find his light, and overall they seemed to not know where anything was. After poking my toe with his finger the doctor just gave me antibiotics and a tetanus shot. Didn't even both with steri-s After the fact I spoke to two other doctors, both of whom would have stitched it. One of them said 'Just another bad example of Urgent Care.' ---- In a second time for a simple TB Test/assessment for work. So, originally when I received the TB shot it is $35, upon my return to read the Test it's an additional $99 for the Dr to sign my TB assessment form, which is a single checkbox. I argued with them to get it down to $50. They proceeded to take my vitals for a negative TB test. I'll say it again, a bunch of clowns. I hope they lose their medical license, I've never heard of a secondary charge for a TB shot + reading. Unethical clowns. Best part, they put the wrong birthday on every form so I had to return to have them correct the dates. Do yourself a favor and visit any other clinic in a 30 mile radius. read more

I've been to this Urgent Care twice (and all in the past month). The staff are super friendly, and the doctors are non-judgemental and have excellent bedside manner. One doctor even entertained my 3 year old who wanted to "play doctor" for a little bit and talk to him. This was my first visit to this location. Dr. Hill and the staff were very welcoming. I had to wait a bit in the room for Dr. Hill. He did have other patients before me. Once I got his attention he was all in. Dr. Hill was very attentive. He listened carefully to my concerns and expressed his concerns for my health. I would go back to this Urgent care facility if needed. I hope I don't need to visit them again. After all it is designed for sick folk! What a great staff to care for my needs. I came here for a UTI that wouldn't go away. The friendly staff got me in with virtually no wait and remembered my name and case when I called back a week later. The place is simple but since the wait is so quick I would absolutely go for any small issues. I saw Dr. Niki who was SO amazing! She normalized my issues without being lax or uncaring. I finished off the prescription she gave and still was having pain so she ordered cultures gave me the next dose up- doing an amazing job listening to me and explaining why it didn't work/why she chose the new antibiotic. I went here because Healthcare Partners Urgent Care had a 3 hour wait and this place has a 20 minute wait. I felt like had a sinus infection, so basically I just needed some antibiotics. The front desk ladies are very personable. Actually, everyone was nice (therefore 2 stars vs. 1), but I didn't feel like I was getting top-notch medical care. I think they used to be better before they changed ownership. UrgentMED tried to sell me on having them fill my prescriptions (I've never had any urgent care do this) at a cost of $60. I told them I'd rather go across the street to CVS to fill my prescriptions and use my prescription coverage. The cost at CVS was 88 cents ($.88). Yes, just 88 cents vs. $60. That seems like a total rip off to me. I won't be going back here again. read more

I had gone to a different urgent care a day before hand and was told I should be better after 24 hours. Well 30 hours later I wasn't so I decided a second opinion was warranted. Doctor just looked at me for less than a minute and goes bro you don't need urgent care you need the ER. He asks what the other urgent care gave me. I had a prewritten note because I couldn't talk. He shakes his head knowing the other place got it wrong. Sets me up with 3 more shots to get me going and sends me immediately to the ER. I'm writing this as I'm barely regaining the ability to talk. My "Strep Throat" was a much more severe case of Tonsillitis. And had I listened to the first urgent care center I probably would be in a very worse position right now. read more
