Even so, the wait could be long, often time too long. What I also dislike is going there and not able to have a doctor see my child. To frequently, there's just nurse practitioner or physician assistant. I feel that we pay too much to have our child not see a doctor. One time, we stopped into an urgent care in Duluth and it was amazing how the process there was much faster. They accepted us on a Sunday, immediately. I know that Children's Healthcare is not the best urgent care due to the wait time, not having doctors see your child but what's good is their hours and various locations.

I had to get a Health screening for work and had my documentation with me since they do not charge since my company uses cvs. My appt was with a nurse practitioner and she was great, the mostly do physicals, screenings and general cold etc. this is perfect for me if my PcP is too busy or not open. They do not charge urgent care prices for the co-pay, only what the copay would be for your personal physician. Bonus! I was in and out of there within 30 minutes, no 1/2 day waiting in the doctors office. I know I will be using this more and would have never known of it wasn't for my health screening. I called on Saturday and Sunday and both times was told that we just have to go to a CVS and they can look up the prescription and fill it for her. She had to suffer for three extra days and they never even explained what happened and why the prescription never showed up. I ended up having to pay to go to a separate doctor to get a prescription sent in, which they were able to send in instantly after that appointment. I will never trust a CVS MinuteClinic again. It shouldn't be that hard when CVS and MinuteClinic are in the same store!

If you are needing a COVID test, log on to the website around the same time you would like to go the next day. They take your ID info & health insurance info online. They ask you to show up only 10 min before your appointment, and you stay in the car the entire time. I was really impressed with the efficiency of the process. I was checked in, given the rapid Covid test, vitals taken, pulled into a spot when one became available, and the the doctor/PA came out with the results and asked if I wanted a PCR test. The entire process took about 30 minutes, although they say it can take longer. I would definitely recommended this location for COVID testing and would not hesitate to come back here for another one. Pro tip: keep refreshing the page until an appointment pops up.

Disappointing Experience…read more I was disappointed with my experience, especially with the front office staff. The attitude and communication were not what I expected from a professional medical facility. When I checked in, I was told that my insurance was accepted, and I was asked to provide a credit card to keep on file. Based on that conversation, I understood that my insurance would be properly processed and that I would be informed of any additional charges before my card was charged. Several days later, I received a hospital bill/charge that I was not expecting. I was not clearly informed that I would be responsible for this amount or that my card could be charged for the balance. I understand that insurance claims and billing can sometimes be complicated, but patients deserve clear communication about what they may owe. The front office should explain any potential out-of-pocket costs and charges before billing the patient. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both customer service and communication with patients.
